Then the rune you slap on gives another bonus on top of that.

So the build site suggests that you get a “Knight’s Helmet of Hoelbrak”. I think.

So I’m fairly new to the game and have yet to reach the level cap. Recently I’ve been planning for what I’ll do at lvl 80 and have thus been looking for builds.

I finally found a build I really like but one thing is causing me great confusion. I understand the runes and how to get them, but on each piece of armour they have a enchantment I just can’t seem to find anything about. For example Helm [Knight]. What is this knight enchantment? how do I get it?

Probably a very noob question but I can’t find anything about it on the wiki. Any help would be appreciated.

It’s not as bad as the Hylek. They sacrifice their own people who are turned into risen. You provide them proof via a undead Hylek head and they “Nopnopelolnope!”

I don’t mind my character being a secondary character, I actually rather liked being secondary character to say, Destinys edge.

But being a secondary character in my personal story is total BS.

I wouldn’t cae so much if my character actually had a part in the cutscenes instead of other party members….

We should have each gotten our own cutscenes.

Asura warriors aren’t about strength, you don’t need to be strong to be a warrior, not all fighting styles require that you be a brute.

I like them, especially the mohawk one.

Since Asura invented gates and way points it stands to reason that they’re the only race that can build them. If they disable the other waypoints and gates they could easily isolate nations from each other and take them one at a time while at the same time being able to travel much faster than any race.

They could also expect low casualty rates as they seem to use Golems as their main form of infantry.

If the Asura were to unite and declare a conquest of Tyria I have a hard time believing any of the races would be able to stand against them. Technology —-—> everything else.

I’d like to use examples from Fallout games to explain some stuff in here:

Their combat animations alone disagree with you. Not all Warriors take on the role of brutes and musclemen.

It’s you subconsciously putting the personality you made for your Asura on its voice.

For example, If I envision my Asura as being comical I’m likely to determine and infer that the voice actor has a more comical voice.

Simple. Most warriors rely on pure strength to fight and dispatch their foes, Asura don’t have that luxury so I’ve always imagined that instead of being brutes they take a more strategic and acrobatic form of melee combat.

Instead of taking hits, they dodge and leap around their enemies, waiting for openings to strike. You don’t really need strength when a sword is custom made for their size either.

Simply think of it as using a different fighting style. Instead of strength, they have agility, instead of brawn they have guile.

I was playing my Asura and got to a part in my personal story where me and Zojja were listening to other Asura inventors and researchers explain the various things they have discovered via experimentation.

At one point a female Asura explains she’s been running on tests on what I assume is intelligence, she states that in her findings that Asura were naturally the brightest, followed by Charr, then Human and Sylvari and in last place was Norn.

Does anyone know if this has been confirmed? At first I found it kind of humorous because the Charr come off as brutes but upon further thinking I realized it actually makes a lot of sense, what with their architecture and machines.

TLDR: Discuss Charr being smarter than Humans.

I’m not sure about mythology, but perhaps they are based off of the Kzin.

I agree with the OP completely. I’d assume more players feel the same way. There is a serious lack of longterm depth, purpose, or entertainment to this game once 80 is hit (IMHO).

Some players may enjoy the lemming zerg packs in WvW or PvE and for these players I say “great, have fun”. I require more depth than that to jiggle my “fun meter”.

Wow, look at you Mr. Fancy. It’s clear to me that you’re far too sophisticated and superior to play this game, I wish I could be just like you!

Thief is not a PVE class, we are almost useless in dungeons compared to every other class, except ranger. (but they are getting spirits fixed and major buffs.)

Can I get some honest advice instead of melodrama please?

Last Sunday I bought Guild wars 2 and have been playing a thief, I am lvl 19 now and am running into a serious problem. My damage is okay but I am very very weak, I can’t even take on 2 mobs at once.

I find myself dying way too much and it’s really killing my enjoyment of the game, I run with a dagger/dagger and Shortbow as a swap. I usually use the short bow now because entering melee usually gets me killed.

I thought it could be my gear but I don’t really see how that could be the case as I am a completionist and do all zones and quests so 100% so I’m able to buy all my gear off of Karma vendors.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me out, I don’t really follow a rotation and I can’t really say I know the most opertune moments to use my abilities so maybe I could also get some help with that. I can’t really find any thief guides to help me out.
