I know it’s money for ANet to spend on voice actors, but I could go for it too. I’m always looking for a new way to get new character customization shinies
Omg agree. Aion has beautiful armor and so did GW1 (or at least a few pieces). Why do heavy females look like blocks? Also, let’s talk about medium armor trench coats. That got old fast.
@Zarghoul.5687 – Agree. It should be in the home instance, and home instances should be more customizable. It could use the same customization code as the Guild Halls will.
I completely agree. ANet, please fix this!
The potential for ‘druid’ is actually quite a bit. Leaving behind the WoW mentality of primarily healing the actual historical classes of druids (bear with me) were: bards, ovates and druids themselves.
Bards I suppose can be most easily equated to the paragon/guardian professions. They used words to inspire.
Ovates were the diviners and healers, which equates to the old GW1 monks and probably the least likely path to follow considering they purposefully nixed it.
Finally the Druid is the highest of these three, with magic and law.
While I think we can disregard law, magic focused on nature like shapeshifting, well spring healing-and perhaps even best of all think of Radagast from the Hobbit movie. Calling the trees into battle? Ents on the battlefield as pets or summoned spirits? The ability to strengthen fortifications of wood or stone? Eagles dropping bears on infantry?
Or maybe just a tsunami. Perhaps that’s encroaching on the Ele’s territory too much. But the potential is almost limitless.
While I understand why they did LS, I have to admit I rather don’t like it. It’s annoying, especially since you are right I’m pretty sure 80s can play LS without having completed PS.
Maybe the HoT expansion will include some storytelling besides just sylvari, and bring back the human lore, etc.

While I do realize that Asia makes up a rather large portion of any gaming market, I do think it’s unfair that we won’t be able to get Cantha simply because they don’t want it.
I didn’t want the Charr to keep Ascalon, the amount of blood, sweat and tears my GW1 chars shed in the defense of Ascalon was astronomical. Yet I have had to live with my disappointment. If Asia doesn’t like Cantha then don’t buy the bloody expansion for it-and don’t prevent the rest of us from getting it!
I apologize if I offended anyone, this was just a rant.
I’d love to see an Orr that is beginning to cleanse. After all, they’re talking about being able to see the results of our work right? And as for what would we do there? Maybe make a new dungeon-since obviously not all the undead will disappear overnight.
Or maybe we need some artifact from the depths of Orr (dangerous I know) to help bring down Mordremoth?

I’m hoping our Revenants can channel cool spirits, like Tybalt or Warmaster Forgal would be cool! Or even more so-your GW1 character of choice!
Can we just get it before the end of this calendar year? I remember it was like YEARS for GW2 after they announced it. I know you’re trying to make the game as great as possible, but that’s what patches are for!
Novuake, I have nothing against strong female characters, but the game seems unbalanced. And you’re right most of the human characters seem rather weak. This was more of a complaint against how Logan seems virtually useless as well as Jennah and how honestly they need a good epic straight romance. I don’t care if it’s Jennah/Logan or someone else. But I’m missing the Gwen/Kieran and Rurik/Althea.
Yeah my guild is about eight ppl but only about 4 rep regularly. Greyhound we’re joining you in that shopping cart!
Considering the Tengu originally hail (primarily) from Cantha, I expect if and when they become a playable race, it will be with a Cantha-related expansion. Not that I wouldn’t love to see another playable race, but this is how I view it.
I hate centaurs, having killed probably hundreds of them in game. Please give us Tengu before we go to centaurs!
You must not know the lore well. They didn’t “primarily” come from Cantha. Two tribes came from Cantha, the Angchu and Sensali. However there were three tribes already residing on Tyria, the Avicara, Caromi, and Quetzal. And on top of that the Elder Dragons are a pressing matter for everyone in Tyria. The Tengu have already mentioned being attacked by Primordus within their walls. Who’s to say Mordrem aren’t sprouting up within the wall as well.
This is not to say I’m completely disagreeing with you. But Anet has already stated, due to an issue with NCSoft, that we most likely wont be going back to Cantha. And I’m sure they want the Tengu as much as we do, maybe. So they will find a way to put them in. Just a matter of time and threat. Heck. They may even decide to open up after Mordremoth is dead. We have then killed two Elder Dragons and now the Tengu want us to help in killing Primordus as they can’t go it alone. Something like that, maybe.
Well I’ll admit in terms of GW 1 and 2 I’m more of a casual gamer, I don’t know all the lore perfectly. So I stand corrected. Sad to hear we may never have Cantha again, I particularly enjoyed the Luxon/Kurzick fight. Though if we get the Tengu at some point and never have Cantha again I might be able to console myself.
The fact that Logan’s family is not considered nobility is a bunch of hogwash. What exactly has Kasmeer really done in comparison? I’m sure Ebonhawk and any other remaining Ascalonian settlement would gladly claim him as their overlord.
Let’s be honest here, no matter how much I wish for Ascalon to be re-taken by the humans, it won’t be. The story has moved on. I just hope that ANet can redeem our last remnant GW1 and Ascalon in the form of Logan and give him a decent storyline and redeem him. I don’t care if he marries Jennah in time-though it would be nice to have an epic straight romance. As long as he redeems himself.
As for Trahearne don’t get me started. I HATE him. I’d much rather have Tybalt or Warmaster Forgal in his stead.
Has anyone else noticed with the LS season though that your PC is developing their own ‘guild’ of sorts with Kasmeer, Marjory, Braham and Rox?
So…..this is sort of a complaint to ANet about storylines. Especially that of Logan and the Queen. Unlike the original GW game, there is no epic (straight) romance-unless I’m missing something or it’s supposed to be Logan’s obsession with Queen Jennah.
Who treats him pretty much like trash, and a lot of people dislike him for this ‘character flaw.’ Not that I want the human mentor to die, but I think this is the only means for him to redeem himself. (Just to be clear I am NOT a Logan hater, I actually feel sorry for him.) And then the Queen realizes what a fool she’s been. Especially if he dies in her defense. Serve the bloody girl right.
ANet if you read this, just realize there are young female gamers out there, and you don’t have to cater everything to the young male gamer…

I know that we’re getting revenant with the expansion pack, but there’s just something about that whirlwind of holy destruction and a scythe that makes for a spectacular combination. Will we ever see it again? Pretty please?
What’s with the Logan hate? I like the way Rytlock and Logan interact.
well logan pretty much ran off to protect the queen.. basically the most powerfull mesmer currently known in the middle of a kittening dragon battle that resulted in glintĀ“s death. I dont like him either.. the humans deserve a cooler destiny edge hero.
He’s kind of tragic really, dude’s under some heavy magic mojo and the woman he loves and would give anything for consistently treats him like a pile of kitten.
The people we should hate are Jennah and maybe Anise. They mind controlled him and got him in a ‘no right answers’ setup. And then after he let his friends down, they’re super contemptuous of him and keep him out of the loop (per the kidnapping scheme).
Agreed. Hate Jennah, not Logan. After all he’s still pretty kitten and has sacrificed himself for the team (when we all thought he died in the last battle against Zhaitan.)
I would second that! My guild is also small, hopefully there wil be a way to balance this a little better in the future? My guild likes the size it is!
I want to tame a fox!
