Just guested onto two other servers and it looks like its bugged in several different ways depending on where you are, but bugged pretty much everywhere. Other events have all had content extended when bugs prevented people from progressing. If this doesn’t get extended I’ll be both surprised and disappointed in Anet.
Getting the same error. I’ve been trying to finish it up for my title for the last few days and its been bugged one way or another every time I get on. The complete lack of response about this is really disappointing me.
Hopped on to get the rest of the crab grabs I needed for the title, and nothing is counting.
I’m gonna be kind of annoyed if I miss out on the title because of this. The living story is a great idea but you cannot afford to let things get this buggy when your players are already on a time limit. I would gladly take slightly less frequent content over rushed and buggy content.
I’ve talked to the master carver guy and it isn’t counting for me either. 2 Achievements completed (Trick or Treat Bags opened + Master Carver) but Emissary of the Mad King says I only have one.
So on top of being disconnected and locked out of the game for a while, I lost a level and a half and about half a gold, definitely not pleased right now.
I’m 90% certain the fight is bugged, as he did have attack animations and spawned adds but they didn’t actually do any damage or have any effect.
Assuming it isn’t though, and that the fight is working as intended, I’m appalled. I know we’ve been weakening him and he’s not at his full strength, but seriously? Pressing 2 for 15 minutes is the final encounter of the story? On the note of Arah’s design, the first airship sequence needs work. It should not take as long as it did, its just such a long, boring gauntlet. Spent more time there than we did on the first few bosses combined, and there are so many adds and the bosses spam knockdowns (which apparently the shields on the guns don’t stop? Another bug?) that its almost literally impossible without waypoint zerging.
