Ok, problem is solved, it was overheating of the PLX chip, i put a fan directly on it and it works perfect, just in case someone else have a similar problem….

And today its back again, even though i use 100% fan so it don’t get any hotter than 67c…
Don’t think its related to the map, but since its random when i get it, i don’t know. I Guess i have to wait another half year and then try again….

Yes, i am using 64bit, but it started before 64bit was available. But i have been playing the whole evening now with fans at 100%. So maybe something happens with the drivers once they start to throttle?, because once i get the fps drops it wont go away until i restart the computer. Even if i shutdown guild wars 2 and the computer goes idle for an hour or two, it will still be there when i launch the game with cool graphic cards. But hopefully i can solve it by making a fan curve with afterburner so it never throttles and can play again, thanks for the tip, i will try a few days and see if its solved.

Also Ansu i have tried playing with just 1 card in slot 2, but it did not help. Everything points at right now that its something to do with some issue with gw2 and throttling. Thank you for trying to help though.

Well you are right, many other games do not make use of 100% of both gpus and they do not get as hot, but i just tried Dragon Age Inquisition, and both gpus are maxed there, and i don’t notice much difference in fps there when the gpus reach 82c. But what they do at that speed is downclock to 900 something mhz from 1124hz which is the factory overclocked mhz. But i will try to install afterburner and put it at default speed for titan black and fans at 100% to see if that helps anything, thanks.

And BTW, the reported clocks are what afterburner reports too.

Hi!, i have a really strange problem that has caused me to stop playing for a half year or so.
As you can see in the picture my computer can handle the game fine, even in 4k but after random time the problem kicks in and both my GPUS gets 100% usage and my fps drops to around 15fps. All i can do to get back the performance again (in guild wars2, other games run fine) is to restart the computer, but after just a short time i get the fps drop again. I have checked task manager so that no program are using all cpu power or ram, but as you can see in picture the cpu is fine, it isnt maxed while the gpu are.

My Computer specs.
CPU: i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory: Corsair 16gb DDR3 1600mhz memory
Main-board: Z97 XPOWER AC (MS-7914)
Corsair 1200W Powersupply
GPU: 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Titan Black, EVGA SC (both in x16)
Nvidia Driver: 361.43
Windows 10 Pro Build 10586.63
Game on 250gb Crucial C300 SSD

I have tried different versions of GPU driver.
Tried with lowest settings and lower resolution in game but still get about 15fps.
I have reinstalled the system countless times but problem always comes back.
I have the latest drivers for chipset etc.
Also tested without SLI, even removed one card physically from the computer, but still fps drops.
Tried to reinstall the game and remove the Local.dat….
Got no problems with any other game, just Guild Wars 2.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be and how it can be fixed?

Hi!, i got a really strange problem which i had for quite some time now.

I get around 20 fps, no matter settings or what i am look at, in Guild Wars2.
If i use Display Driver Uninstaller, to clean all traces of my display drivers, and then reinstall my drivers, i get full performance again, for a while. It takes like a day or so and then i am back to 20fps again and i have to reinstall my display driver again to get back the performance. All other games works fine, except for Tera which is also affected by this issue. Both My Titan Blacks runs at 100% at 1124mhz (EVGA superclocked) at 20-30fps when im affected by this issue. After reinstall of drivers with full performance i get 60fps and GPUs are at 40-100% depending on where i am and looking at.

My Computer:
CPU: I7-4970K
GPU: 2X Titan Black SLI
OS: Windows 10 Pro (Had the problem when i ran 8.1 as well)
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600mhz
PSU: 1200W Corsair
Display Driver: 355.80 (Hot Fix for SLI)
Latest Intel Motherboard drivers installed.
Philips 4K Monitor (60HZ), (but i tried 1024×768 and still have low fps)

Anyone who got any idea what i should try next? Re-installation of windows has been done a lot of times and the issue always comes back.

It makes perfect sense. If everything was there all the time, people would think i can always buy it later and spend less money. While if everything is at risk of disappear and not come back for quite a while or ever, you going to buy it now, to be sure you get it. A limited time frame to get something makes you purchase things spontaneous. Even things you might not have bought if you had time to think. The timer which counts down enhances this urge to buy now.

One thing i love about GuildWars2 is that almost everything is account and not bound to your character, so i feel like i am gearing up and fixing my own team of characters. One thing that currently bothers me though is that crafting is bound to one character. I know that Arenanet said they wanted us to trade so we only get 2 . But today when many have an lvl 80 of every class, and most likely all crafting disciplines leveled to max, it feels a little dated. Also its kind of annoying having to remember who has what discipline and even what recipes they have.

I don’t know how to solve that some people use crafting to level their characters, since a system like the one i am talking about would not allow more experience from crafting once all disciplines are maxed out though.

Weren’t we supposed to spend hero points to unlock them or am i mixing this up with skills?

Hi!, i am in a situation that i am sure many are, i level a new character to lvl 80, and would like to pick traits, but running around unlocking them don’t feel like an option so that leaves buying them. But with the new trait system coming, anything said about that we get our gold back that we spent on traits? I suppose we made the decision to buy them, but still would be good to know if i should put money on it or just wait.

I missed wintersday 2014 and just found out that it was the only way to get the Star of Gratitude… will there be any more chances of getting it? maybe next wintersday? i couldn’t find any info about it, Arenanet said anything about it?

Hi!, i have been thinking about the UI in Guild Wars 2, and while its a really nice UI, somethings could be improved upon.

1. I have the Royal Terrace Pass, Homestone Portal Stone, Captains Airship Pass, Food, Weapons etc, that i like to use / switch between easily. Wouldn’t it be great with optional quick slots where you can put things like this and bind keys to?

2. Im running the game in 3840×2160, and i got plenty of space for the UI, but still i cant resize the bank/crafting/gem store/trading post window and have to keep scrolling in this tiny window…

Well these are the things that came to mind right now, feel free to add your own wishes for the UI, people.

im using an Philips BDM4065UC/00 40" / 3ms / HDMI, DP/ 4K, thanks to its size the ui gets perfect size.

I accidentally transmuted away my gas mask skin a while ago, but i have the achievement. Will the new system detect my achievements and unlock it in the wardrobe?

Hi! my main is a ranger, and i just got all crafting mats to make ascended armor.
But i am unsure which set to get. I want this set to be prepared for lvl 50 fractals when i get there (are at 39 atm). I run with exotic berserker gear right now, but i also use longbow / greatsword which i read everywhere is crap. I have read that sword/warhorn or axe offhand is the best, but can / should i survive in melee range in high level fractals with berserker gear? or what gear do you recommend for fractals?

I used a splitter with my Jade GS and it gave back the the skin as an item and the GS I used the skin on.

That is not the same situation as the OP.

If you have transmute
Gas Mask / low level stats / rune
+
Exotic skin / exotic stat / no rune
into
Exotic skin / exotic stat / rune
then try to split that it(the resulting Exotic skin/exotic stat/rune from the low level item) will not give back the gas mask.

The above behavior sounds expected to me, but it does leave a question which hopefully the OP can answer.

OP – do you recall 3 different panel selections appearing when attempting the transmute of the low gas mask helm to the new level 80 exotic helm? If you do recall 3 selections, did you just accidentally select the wrong skin when attempting the transmute?

If this was an accidental selection, then yes, the splitter would not work, because the existence of the gas mask skin has been deleted. As such, the function of the accidental selection transmuted the rune from your old item, to your new item, while preserving the stats and skin of the new exotic helm. The Gas Mask, not being selected, is removed from the unique identifier within the item itself and would not be returned via a splitter.

Sorry you experienced this. Maybe support can provide assistance, but if it was an accident through your own behavior, I can’t be for sure

Yes, i did the mistake of keeping the exotic skin, and only took the rune from the gasmask item… i guess its my own fault. but still annoying that a single mistake should waste my achievement reward for ever….

I converted 21gold to get a splitter, but all i could get back was the rune that was in the old helmet…

Hi!, i had my gas mask skin applied to a low level helm, and i wanted to transmute the skin to my new exotic lvl 80 helm, and i managed to keep the exotic helm appearance, so my gas mask skin disappeared… would a transmutation splitter help me, or are that skin lost forever?

It would be so much better if we could get the skins in the achievement tab along with the achievement skins rewards….

Yepp rollback, i did fractals daily, got an exotic shield and globs, and then it was all gone….
