It’s hinted to be Malchor—- but that creates several plot holes. Doesn’t really match up with his comments on Grenth’s statue in Divinity’s Reach.
The Durmand Priory knows from ancient records that there are SIX dragons. However, there are no signs that they know anything about the Deep Sea Dragon or the sixth mystery dragon besides the fact that they exist.
He’s referred to repeatedly as a cripple (especially in the last mission of the Demmi arc), and that’s the only limb that you can’t clearly see. Seemed pretty clear to me.
There are some event chains in Orr that are basically open-world raids, that unlock karma vendors with unique armor art sets when you complete them. And some of the high level events are pretty hard- the dragons and temple events especially tend to have lots of people dying.
Also, the Tengu are currently in western Kryta/eastern Maguuma, and are battling Primordius. Unless the next expansion involves battling all of the remaining Elder Dragons, it’ll probably be centered around Primordius, Tengu, and the Depths of Tyria.
You’ll have to wait for Tengu first! Almost every dialogue involving Tengu in game is filled with hints that come just short of outright stating that they will be playable very soon. I can’t wait for that! Have several of my favorite professions that I won’t play now because I’m saving them for Tengu.
Yeah, when I’m trying to form a group for a dungeon, especially for the ones in lowbie zones, I’d like to be able to tell the difference between lowbies hanging out and people looking for a group.
Guardians have low base HP to balance out their overwhelming mitigation capabilities. They’re still one of the most survivable classes (up with Necro), they just do it in a different way, and having both would be imbalanced.
Necros are also supposed to be very durable. Most people don’t seem to understand that- or much of anything about them. It’s going to be a while before people really get what Necros are supposed to be.
they will get the most buffs in the first balancing patch. Minions will get a lot of love b/c now they are useless.
I really do not think necros need any attention outside of seeing their mediocre pets receiving some love. Can you explain what you feel needs to buffed because I honestly agree with the top 3 sentiment and probably the most balanced all around in my eyes.
Top 3?
1. Warriors
2. Guardians
3. RangersI think those are easily the top 3. I mean which one of those would you switch out for Necro?
Since the OP seemed to be mostly focused on dungeons (the only place in PvE where you wouldn’t just take everyone, or even need a group)…
Ranger. A million times, Ranger. Every other Profession is in a good spot (except possibly Mesmer, which is very unique, gimmicky, and hard to measure), with Ranger being way at the bottom. They have the worst support (spirits aren’t very good, and they’re the only support that dies to AoE), pets are always dying, so you never reach your damage potential, and they lack good combo starters and finishers. That’s not to say a good Ranger isn’t a valuable member- in fact, I’d always pick a Ranger I know over a stanger of any class. They’re just considerably worse off until their inevitable buffs, but still workable.
On topic, Necromancers are one of the best classes at the moment. Especially when it comes to combo fields- Dark fields are the most useful in most cases, and Necros are full of them. They’re also the most durable class, if you know what you’re doing- not so much basic mitigation as a Soldier, but if you know how to effectively use abilities like Death Shroud, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a Necro single handedly keeping a fight from resetting after a near wipe ling enough for the group to run back.
