I’ve decided to try and get a legendary, but I have a few questions I’ve been unable to find answers to regarding the base weapon for the legendary.
So say I want the legendary greatsword, I need the base greatsword dusk or dawn.
The best way seems to be the mystic forge.
Should I just use rare lvl 75-80 greatsword, or is it worth it to use exotics?
Is it a viable method to just buy all the swords on the trading post, or is there a better way?
I’m interested too!
Never been in a guild before, but I’d love to try it

So since the tier 3 armor is just rare, what armor should I transmute it into?
I’m a warrior focused on tanking.
I run this game at around 50 fps, once in a while it dips to 35-40 fps when alot of people are on screen.
This on an i7 3820/GTX 580
Its still very playable, I just wish I could lock the fps at 30 so I don’t notice the slowdown. Going from 50-60fps down to 35-40 fps is harsh on the eyes.
Under video options, there’s a framelimiter for 30 and 60 fps.
Have you double checked that SLI is enabled from the NVIDIA Control Panel ?. As the GTX 295 is 2xGTX260’s I believe you should have this checked. If you update the NVIDIA drivers it usually turns SLI off ( well it does for me anyway). As a note: SLI does work for the game as both my GTX 460’s use the same resource whilst playing. SLI is just not perfectly optimised yet.
All 4 cores are used on My PC ( old Q9550) and the game is CPU intensive. How did you work out that it was only using 10-20% cpu. If you ALT-TAB out the game to Task Manager then you will not see the true CPU usage at that point in time. You will need to look at the four CPU’s history graph under the Performance tab to get an idea.
Hope that helps.
I am using SLI, even tried disabling to see if it would help.
I just took the average CPU performance, therefor ~10-20%
I attached the DxDiag

At school atm, I’ll post a DxDiag when I get home.
I’m using Windows 7 64bit.
A GTX 295 is basically 2 overclocked GTX 260’s, and I’ve seen people with a single 260, and an even older CPU getting better performance than me.
Hopefully nvidia will make a new beta driver soon.
So I’m getting really bad fps ingame, and have been since launch.
I get between 20-40 fps on all medium and low. I’ve seen people with older and worse systems than my own being able to play medium/high at 60+ fps.
I downloaded the newest beta driver that should have fixed some GW2 problems.
I checked that only 10-20% of my CPU is being used. Isn’t 4 cores supported?
My system is as following:
i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz
GTX 295
6 gb ddr3 ram
I can play games like BF3 on high with 50-60 fps no problem.
