Why would anyone want to “stick to two”? You would be giving up 50% of your fighting capabilities, like fighting with “one arm tied behind your back”. People say it but none actually do it.

Ele’s don’t define their builds in terms of which Attunements they specialize in but in terms of their weapons (staff, d/d, etc…), traits, and play style (tank, cleric, etc..)

Necros, ‘cause they share the tastiest meat snacks (just don’t dwell on who that snack was).

Seriously, I think anyone is good.

I can’t help much, but you do need to provide more details for those that could help. Start with what your weapons are (staff, d/d, etc…) and what utility skills you generally use.

Gear upgrades can make a HUGE difference for marginal-to-average player (like myself). If you are running around level 25 content with gear from level 10 you are going to get pounded. Make a visit to the Trading Post and spend a little.

Twice yesterday after the patch I found myself in combat unable to move. I could jump, use all my skills, but the Q-W-E and A-S-D keys did nothing. I didn’t have any debuffs on me and my opponents didn’t have any abilities that could freeze me in place (they were level 19 and under in both cases and I’ve fought them before).

In both cases I had to restart the game before my keyboard worked again in GW2.

Has anyone else seen this and were they able to fix it with restarting?

A lone Asura strides through the portal of the Golemagical Institute, spurs clinking with each step, her form outlined by the blinding setting sun behind her. She pauses just through the portal, smacks the road dust from her chaps, shifts her gun belt, and adjusts her ten gallon hat. The chaos of conversation is suddenly stilled and the crowd shuffles back until two figures face each across the research floor.

“Teyo,” the lone figure in the portal calls out, “I’m the sheriff of Metrica Province and Ima gonna bring ya and ya yella bellied Inquest Krewe in!” She pauses to spit black tobacco juice on the shin of a nearby Inquest golemn. “Live sure. Dead, well…,” she smiles cruelly, “that’s up to you.”

Teyo and the sheriff face each other across the floor. Fearful eyes in the crowd flits from one figure then to the other. A few braver Inquest souls step their leader. Teyo’s eyes squint.

The sherif smiles cruelly, “excelsior!” Elite Skill Lightning Quick Draw is activated and the rapid fire staccato of gunfire rips across the Institute.

Nine Inquest Krewe and two Inquest golems lay on the ground. Teyo drops to her knees and falls to the ground.

“You were stupid Teyo and you left a dumb corpse.”

Bowling for golems anyone?

So you’re cool with cowboy duds? Toss in a sheriff badge amulet and a recipe for chewin tobaccy and I can totally see my Asura ele rocking the look.

Can we get chaps and cowboy hats too? Maybe a lasso off hand?

EDIT: Wouldn’t work. Fire and Lightning attacks would make the gun powder explode in the ele’s hand, earth would clog the barrel making the gun useless and water would spoil the gun powder so it wouldn’t ignite.

I could see a case for swords (hey if Gandolf used one…).

You never know it by looking at them, but the Asura can party like nobody’s business (home brewing is a SCIENCE for them). But this Inquest bunch are way too uptight and their staff parties just suck.
