I am unable to start a new thread and this one seems to be the closest to what I want to say…
OK… I’ve been doing quite a bit of sPvP the last couple of days and for Anet to say that WvW is pve while sPvP is pvp has to be a joke.
The only way to win in sPvP is not to kill players – in fact it is advisable to avoid as many fights as possible… you win by capping shrines… the more time spent fighting means the more time your foe has to cap more shrines than you. You can come out top of your party without engaging in a single fight.
Seriously… this is not pvp
Since when was pvp games restricted to deathmatch?
I seriously doubt that top tier matches are two teams running around not fighting and capping points, from what I can gather it’s about having the right people at the right places to maximise the odds of winning fights on the points, or taking advantage of the enemy overextending etc.
I’m far from an expert, but the player vs player aspect here isn’t restricted to how good you are at fighting, there’s some strategy involved as well.
I for one find that much more exciting, than simple team deathmatch.
Thanks for the Bump Chaba, and thanks to Django for the guide, just started PvPing
So, can I have some clarification as well on gatherable nodes ? Will their locations pretty much be randomized everytime I enter the area now since I probably never will be on the same “instance” ?
Well I cannot say that I know this for certain, but seeing as the system is taking variables from your account to figure out which mega server to put you in, if you find nodes with one character and switch to an alt to gather in the same area, it should use the same variables and at least most of the times come to the same conclusion about which “instance” to put you in.
@Damas not sure what the problem is, after all the player of that lvl2 character with a legendary skin still put in the effort of obtaining a legendary in the first place. They don’t become easier to obtain, you just get to enjoy the skin you worked hard for with more than one character.
In the blogpost it’s quite clear that identified and unidentified dyes will still be tradeable.
A quick youtube search, and while I cannot be certain that it weighs what the video say it does, armour tends to distribute it’s weight across the body, so I don’t see tumbling as that unrealistic.

The foefire was genocide versus humans also, in addition to enslaving their soul.
There were people in Kryta before the searing and exodus from Ascalon.
Also they do get kitten for that, from the separatists, the other humans however have realised that past sins shouldn’t get in the way of present peace.
Continued war against the Charr because of the searing when they have themselves commited similar (and in my opinion worse) acts, and even when the ones responsible among the Charr are being opposed (flame legion).
Letting sins from 200 years previous come in the way of peace, with the threat of the Dragons, would be a very stupid move.
Of course the Charr would lament the death of their own over the death of humans, and hordes of ghosts on their doorstep that still claim casualties 200 years after doesn’t make them very wrong.
I’d say based on the respective effects that the foefire was indeed worse than the searing.
The searing “only” destroyed, the foefire enslaved the ascalonian population into becoming vengeful spirits.
That the pre searing characters are now “punching bags” really show the moral problem of the foefire, they are now unable to discern between Human and Charr or any other race, and attack everything on sight, they have lost all free will they had.
Also, not having their claws touch the ground keep them nice and sharp.
@Nande
Knyx didn’t mean both an F2 return and a stun break, only the return.
The stun break was the suggestion of the OP.
I have this same problem, use it in a newly created combo field, rarely give procs
I tried out to see how the F2 abilities was working for me today, tried eagle and raven.
Did this in PVE btw.
Both used their F2 ability with one press of the button, and almost immediately.
However I also noticed that the F2 icon didn’t start flashing until the pet was almost done with their F2 ability, kept flashing a little after they were done, and then went on cooldown.
So it doesn’t seem like you can accurately judge if/when your pet is using it’s F2 ability based on the F2 icon.
Cannot say if this is the case with any other pets.
