Guild Wars 2

I’m actually playing a warrior lol. well I just mean that I want something that isn’t gimmicky ( which I believe mes to be a bit), and something alil more challenging. I play PvP to challenge myself. Thank you all for the posts

Without reading anything about professions I picked a Mesmer out the gate and have loved it. I realized that it was a little gimmicky but I die in tPvP to better players so I figured that it wasn’t too OP. I have a several friends that play with me and constantly complain about the Mes profession and have decided to try another character for a while just to see the difference. I typically play casters in all MMOs that I play and was wondering what a good “middle of the road” class would be worth trying.

I have an 8 man guild that started less than 2 months ago. We are all active players in dungeons, leveling, and PvP. We are looking for a guild to join as some of the new content requires full upgrades. Please message me or send whisper in game.

I have my own guild with my RL friends but they don’t PvP. I’m looking for a guild with a lot of PvPers for s and tPvP on Anvil Rock.

Shatter Mes

After playing WvW for the first time, a guild-mate suggested that it might be possible to have a castle defense style map for sPvP and tPvP.
Create two paths into a castle with 3 conquest style points along the way. Put a 5 minute timeline on it and switch sides. Might be fun.

I’m a staff/gs/shatter Mes so I understand a little. Big thing in my opinion is not to start DPSing right away. Wait a second or two to let someone else get it. If you start pulling agro, just slow down your rotation or stop attacking until someone else grabs it. No one wants to stop attacking, but you can’t attack if you’re dead.
As a caster-player who has played other MMOs, its fun to not have a tank… certainly makes things interesting.

Many times in the last few weeks party members and guildies have become trapped in the wall while interacting with the back-right Asura Tech item in Sure-Shot’s room. I believe it is also the westernmost piece of Asura Tech and is usually the final of the 9 pieces to interact with. From what I can tell, if you stand on the table in front of it, you may become trapped. This causes the player to have to log out and back in and drun back. Not a huge issue, but something to consider. Thanks in advance.

Okay, In dungeons I do a full rotation of staff, switch to gs, shatter for daze (causing vulnerability) and sometimes I use the daze mantra. I like to stack vulnerability but when I can I shatter for confusion. I run a legion build and almost never have less that 2 illusions up. that is 6% dmg increase almost always and can vuln at 18-25 stacks, as well as 3-6 stack confusion about once a rotation. I love my build, but cant decide wich gear set to go with.
I feel like Im trying to get the best of every build and I may need to concentrate on one type. I’d like your opinions.

So far I’ve leveled, played a bit of sPvP, tPvP, and 2 dungeons. So now I’m starting to wonder about the rest of the game. My questions are as follows:
What are Fractals?
Who can get/do Fractals?
What is the point of getting them/doing them?

Even if you tell me I missed a post with explanations… I just want answers lol.

I took the name from an Orson Scott Card book I liked when I was in school called “Ender’s Game”. Sweet HS level reading. I also have one I use from Aqua Teen Hunger Force… haha.

I don’t care if the server is good at WvW necessarily, just that ppl que for it.

I intend do both WvWvW and sPvP. Probably more sPvP than anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction for an active NA sPvP server?
