My thoughts on this haven’t changed since the last 100 iterations of this thread: An emphatic Yes to the more reliable evade frame. And a No to any other change.
Specifically to your proposition I think that having two different stealth access mechanics on a single weapon set might be a wee bit unbalanced.
I guess you’re right about having two different stealth access mechanics in one weapon set is abit OP.
But I like the idea that you can chose different ways to go into stealth in different situations, but with a very high initiative cost so it’s not spammable. In my opinion having different ways to get into stealth provides depth and rewarding gameplay for the Thief. Because the gameplay now is very spammy, e.g Cloak and Dagger spam, Black Powder into Heartseeker spam, #3 Evade spam on S/D etc.

The most useless skill I’ve ever seen. What purpose does it serve? Is it used for condi builds to spam 3333333333? Not very engaging gameplay there… Sounds like an amazing build. The evade frame is also very unreliable.
I would love to see this skill reworked. How about giving it a smoke field so it can be used to leap through with Heartseeker, but without the blind mechanic. I hate to see the skill not being used optimally. The thief class (particularly Dagger/Dagger Thiefs) is in dire need of something new and diverse.

WoW leaderboard is perfect. How hard can it be to copy that to GW2?
I would not say perfect, (there was a HUGE win trading scandal during one of the seasons to have teams be tied in the number 1 spot), but it is miles ahead of what gw2 has.
It’s the best one i’ve ever seen atleast. The competitiveness and the grind for titles is good for the everyday leaderboard grind.
If I see a player in WoW with a Gladiator title, it’s obviously a good player. I can check the players rating and inspect his PvP achievments.
But in Gw2 there is no indication of what skill-level the specific player is, unless I see him in a tournament.

Hoelbrak is better due to the condi meta. Even in sPvP.

No one cares about this bug? It’s very annoying…
Seems it got worse with the new patch. RTL sometimes doesn’t go all the way to the target and sometimes it travels right through the target.

I want GW2 to have a working leaderboard system. Here is my opinion:
Lets take a casual PvP player as an example. What does he have to work for in PvP? Skins? Gold? Win a tournament? Sure if a player wins a tournament he is a good player. But what about the everyday life of PvP? The player has nothing to grind for apart from a tournament.
He finds a decent team and wins alot of games, but won’t actually gain anything from it because the current system AND the new one is flawed.
A leaderboard with a visible personal rating/MMR INGAME with decent rewards is going to make people grind their kitten off. People are going to grind the leaderboards because they want to show others who the best players actually are. It’s going to be a race of who has the highest personal rating and I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SHOW FOR IT INGAME THIS IS MANDATORY! People are not going to take this game seriously and spend hour after hour if they have nothing to show for in the end. It’s also good to know what rating a specific player is by inspecting them ingame. I want to know when i’ve improved, either by increasing my rating or achieving a rare title.
I agree with OP 100%.
Redesign the leaderboards and make rating visible to other players is pretty much essential. People/Teams have nothing to grind/show off for anymore. Sure the tournaments are really good, but outside that there is nothing.
WoW is a perfect example of a functioning leaderboard system. You could easily see what players/teams were the better ones by looking at their rating.

Let’s start with Ride the lightning (Dagger #4).
Since Anet nerfed the CD and range of this skill it has been bugging out. Using it will sometimes teleport you back and forth at the end of the animation, giving it a ’’freeze’’ feeling with very awkward ending. Just watch old footage of the skill and compare the ending animation to today. You will clearly see the difference.

When you press ’’W’’ to move forward and use Ride the lightning you will stop moving after the skill is finished (Pressing ’’W’’ the whole duration) It’s very unsmooth.
Disabling shot (Shortbow #3)
I don’t main a thief so correct me if i’m wrong. Since this skill got nerfed it has been feeling very unsmooth. Basically doing something similar to the Ride the lightning bug. I’m not sure what the nerf was supposed to accomplish, but i’ll guess Anet wanted to decrease the evade duration?

The PvE combat system is very flawed. Boss fights are very straight forward and require very little strategies. I want to see DPS, Support and Control (Like we were promised) and the dungeons need to be designed in the way that a support/control class is needed. I hope they fix this next expansion.
Stick to your 40 man blobs spamming 1 and let the real PvPers play something that actually requires skill.
The leaderboards need serious redesign. Just copy the leaderboards system from World of Warcraft.
It was just recently nerfed. It doesn’t provide any benefit anymore, no.
And if you’re wondering, this was the “optimal” way to play D/D Ele for the longest time. I’m quite glad it’s no longer beneficial to Stow-Whip.

It’s funny seeing people in this thread get upset that this game is getting some publicity from a very popular streamer. It’s also funny seeing people act like their precious game is going to suddenly become tainted because of this. These types of people are just as bad as the people they claim will come and “taint” their game. New players should always be welcome in games like this where the population drives the success of the game.
