I am 52/54 on the original mini’s set 1 collection… is it still possible to finish this collection?
It depends on the minis you’re missing. They might be for sale on the Trading Post. =)
I believe that poster is referring to the original set 1 achievement that required you to deposit the mini to the bank which you can’t do any more so actually the answer would be no, you can progress on the new achievement but not the old one.
Ah, if it’s in reference to the achievement, then no, the old achievement cannot be progressed further. Thanks for catching that! =)
So when will this be fixed, i.e. when and how can you progress the old (permanent) achievement again? Or will it be merged with the new one?
The game is unplayable at the moment. I wonder why this thread isn’t getting more attention.
Especially annoying just a few seconds before Great Jungle Worm Kill.
There was a bug with the 4/15 release that gave out pending bonus Rank-gain chests to some players erroneously. We didn’t intend to change the number of these pending bonus chests for anyone, since they were already account-bound and acting as we wanted. In a recent hotfix, the chests were given both soft and hard caps.
- The pending bonus chests granted after a WvW match ends now cap at 99.
- Existing chests are now capped at 250. Any extras beyond that cap are discarded.
I have two questions regarding that:
1. Why are people allowed to keep any bugged/exploited chests? I may be able to understand how it is difficult to account for already opened ones (although I would still recommend a negative bonus chest counter for that).
2. Why is the cap so high – you can only get 3 a week by winning a match after all?
How would you get to 250 bonus chests without the bug?
Are you seriously complaining about only having 250 of your bugged 560 bonus chests left?
They should have reduced all (exploitably) bugged chests to zero and then added negative bonus chests for all already opened bugged bonus chests.
Wow – they “fixed” it:
WvW rank-up bonus chests are now limited per account:
No new bonus chests will be awarded beyond a maximum of 99.
Existing bonus chests will be capped at 250. Any beyond this will be discarded.
Way to handle exploitable bugs.
Oh you accidentally got 1 million time gated Gold for free – hmm you can keep all you already used and we leave you 250 just to be on the safe side.
But what did I expect after all the rich Skyhammer farmers now proudly spamming their dragon finishers.
Hi all,
since I never really bothered with the PVP crafting I salvaged everything.
Since the salvage mats and glory booster are being removed coming Tuesday I would like to ask for recommendations about what to do/craft with the following stash:
People who bought boosters can file a ticket for a refund. See: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/March-18th-Glory-change-FAQ/
So what about Glory boosters from black lion chests (which were also bought with gems)?
The official answer (only gem store bought Glory boosters get reimbursed) is a complete letdown.
I hope they reconsider and come back to this thread with the Glory consumable idea.
Simple example:
Max match duration (hotjoin): 15 mins
Points per lost match: 125
→ for 1 hour that makes 125*4 = 500 Glory
→ take half that (since no actual gameplay occured) = 250 Glory on consumption of glory booster
I guess it is about anything that does not increase the character level/strength – so mostly cosmetic.
Some general thoughts:
1. Remove Soulbound from any consumables. Actually remove soulbound period.
2. Have more skins that behave like the achievement point ones (i.e. reusable and easy to apply). Phase out transmutation stones (like already begun with fractal weapon skins)
3. Make storing skins more convenient – like the PvP locker.
4. Since RNG is the driving force for most expensive items (including legendaries) – pls reduce the impact of RNG and add more deterministic progress (like you did for the black lion scraps).
Ugh, I feel for you all. I actually gave up trying last night, but today when I was doing the daily fractal achievement, one of the last 2 I needed (Dredge fractal lol) actually popped up and we cleared it. I was so relieved but man no one should have to go through any of this.
Imagine my frustration – after so many tries I finally got one of the last 2 I needed (Dredge fractal as well) yesterday – only to have the host posting: “Sorry gtg” and leaving = kick for everyone halfway through. I have yet to actually enter the (non-boss) Molten one.
So RNG in a heavily (2 weeks) time gated LS release is annoying and unfair because there is no chance for it to equal out over time.
Another close fail thx to 10+ secs timer bug (was even the same timer for everyone – still event failed 10+ secs after everyone was waiting at the front for Tequatl).
There seem to be many complaints regarding 1vs1 – but please answer me the following:
1. Why should I stop for a 1vs1 when I can just keep running and capture a keep for 800 WXP?
2. Why should I waste time in a 1vs1 with a Zerg/Support spec?
3. Why should I start/continue a 1vs1 if the commander explicitly asks for discipline and to just leave the roamers alone (unless they run into the zerg of course)? (To be fair – many PvE players ignore that and still go 10vs1 against roamers)
4. A bit redundant to 2. – but still too important – 1vs1 skill has little to do with WvW skill. Guild groups are not powerful because they are all 1vs1 gurus. They are powerful because they work well as a team (the individual 1vs1 skill and setup may just be terrible).
Wow 2nd try in a row (different server) – same bug and fail again.
Again a fail due to incorrect timers and everyone dying since they were already at the front. Happens far too often.
Very annoying since it was going so well – but still Tequatl seems completely broken at the moment – far more buggy runs than normal ones.
I suspect their metrics told them not a lot of players have level 500 crafting, and I’m expecting precursor crafting to require level 600 crafting.
That would just be ridiculous – Precursors are just exotics – so even 400 should be sufficient. They are “worse” than Ascended weapons – and only a substantial investment can turn them into legendaries. Their high price just stems from the depressing artifical scarcity.
Not changing the rules during the 7 weeks is reasonable.
But making WvW completely Alt-unfriendly and then introducing a major rebalancing of all classes 11 days after season start seems contradictory. So other major changes certainly have an impact on WvW.
I would suggest the following solution:
Make Bloodstone Dust sellable at a special Karma vendor – for 5-10 Karma per piece. It is by far the most surplus of the ascended mats and accumulates too fast anyways.
Remove salvage confirmation from masterworks?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School

I am so glad someone already opened a thread for this topic – I so hope that it will be part of the Tuesday patch by default.
I don’t really care whether it is an option like aoe loot or just removed from masterwork.
Well – they could just replace the %MF find with either of the non-combat stats left, i.e. gold or karma. No combat impact and still a valid bonus.
Another point of concern:
Account wide MF boost will be few % max (6 at 10k Achievment points)
MF food buff is up to 30%So anyone on low level will have (with low lvl food) the same MF as someone playing since start without any food.
The numbers will be adjusted?
Actually that information is already in the announcement:
You can boost your account’s Magic Find using Essences of Luck, which can be earned by salvaging Fine or Masterwork items.
Just popping in here to note: today’s hotfix has gone live and the karma change has been reverted. Those who spent karma today will be refunded. The office is closed for the night, so this process will start when the team is back in the office and able to work on it. Thanks.
Do you by any chance already know how you will implement this refund?
Just giving everyone who spent all their karma consumables an equivalent to 95% boosts on would be over the top. Especially considering the time-gated laurel-cost for the karmic infusion (and the amulet to go with it if you don’t have one yet).
Since you can probably track the use of Karma items you should just give the affected players the appropriate amount of Jugs of Karma (and remove the karma gained).
Actually it’s two minutes. And the map capacity of Crown Pavilion is limited to 75 before it starts to create overflows.
75 people, 6 people at a time, 2 minute matches = 75/6 *2 = 25 minutes
Obviously some people will finish their matches faster, but even if they finish in 1 minute that is still a 12 minute wait, and I doubt everyone will finish that fast.
some will finish it faster, and some will lose before those 2 minutes are up… and if they manage to hold out for two minutes, then they lose… which isn’t something they’re going to repeat often.
Also while you wait there is a bunch of content below you. Not everyone is going there for the 1v1 gauntlet.
Well – I am on an overflow and in the waiting queue for more than 30 minutes now. I also don’t know how many people are in front of me – which is annoying all by itself.
As I have to leave soon – will I loose my ticket (I did not pay attention whether I paid in advance)?
Just on a side note – that it can be done solo is just a symptom of the horrible design.
I would be really impressed to see anyone (solo or group) do the event with gold – i.e. kill 50+ pirates. That is how it is supposed to work from the event point of view after all. Not some combination of darting in and running away.
Your NPC should survive as well.
Since there is no information in the patch notes it is obviously a bug.
An official answer would be nice since the discussion is getting quite heated.
Thanks for the infos – but have the slippers always been non-salvageable. Since it is possible to sell them I assumed salvaging should be possible.
Otherwise the only option would be to sell them for 2silver something.
During the event I got the Slippers with 4 different characters. I never bound them and put them in the Storage.
Now I checked again – and all of them are labeled as Soulbound (new)
In addition it is not possible to salvage them
Is this a bug or an intended change?
This is very disapointing – but then again not unexpected.
1. Asking everyone to be online at exactly the same minute = ridiculus server load.
2. Even the tiniest error (let alone the fatal bug mentioned above) can ruin the grand event – and lead to a tedium of trying to log in again (probably finding the same bug again).
