The thing is it’s not even about the game being “bad” it’s about the game not doing anything to keep you playing. I had an amazing time going from 1 to 80, in fact i never had such a great experience leveling in mmos. and then what?

i’m not talking about a gear treadmill/stats grind but almost everything at 80 is a massive grind. Legendaries? I don’t think i even need to say anything, pvp rank? it take hundreds if not thousands of hours to max out, ascendant gear? i can’t tell since i stoped playing 1-1.5 months ago but i was told it take an insane ammount of that new instance run. Even getting gold is a huge grind and take forever.

I don’t know about other people, but in games i like to set myself a goal, when the goal is unreachable (legendaries, maxed out pvp rank, etc) i just stop playing and move on to another one.

There are a lot of legendaries in the game and arenanet can add even more, why not make legendaries easier to get so getting SEVERAL legendaries is the big deal,(note here that legendaries should still be hard to get but not THIS hard, specially when classes use different weapons in different situation) why not make pvp rank faster and add more rank/skin in expansion so maxed out people have things to do

Leveling alts? for what? hitting that same brickwall at 80?

TLDR: everything at 80 is a massive grind so people quit the game when they hit that brickwall, There’s nothing to look foward to unless you give up your life and play 24/7 if you want anything in a reasonable ammount of time. Even then, Farming the same pvp maps, farming the same events, running around for orichalcum ore can’t really keep you entertained long

No, we need a boost to HPs and double or triple damage.

While we need a boost in hp and/or damage. Double or triple would be overkill

Ele’s skill are fine the way they work. The only thing they need is a damage increase. ele need help beyond that.

Several traits should be made baseline and several traits should be merged then make new interesting traits. (exemple of traits that should be merged, Those X% damage increase and X% cooldown reduction)

Basehealth need to be increased

Attunement’s cooldown need to be reduced and change the stupid mendatory(sp?) arcane’s attunement cooldown reduction to something else that affect all attunement.

Elite skills are pathetic. I’d rather bring a 4th utility skill instead of an ele’s elite skill.
Don’t get me started about underwater

Cooldowns on several skills reduced. 50 second cooldown for a knockback is unnecessary

Several skills need faster animation and/or cast time, specially for staff.

[Insert more stuff here]

Is it just me, or do the downed abilities suck?

Not many people seem to have noticed that most classes can use their downed skill 1 about 3 time more often than us. Like when i tried out warrior and thief, Their skill 1 animation is so quick they can throw 3-6-9 rock/shuriken thing by the time we shock the target 1-2-3 time.

(and no our skill #1 doesn’t do more damage)

This is getting old.

I didn’t know I was UP until I read it here. Sure I had some challenging fights but the game seemed to be built for that.

I run a D/D with points in mainly fire, earth, and arcane (for the cd reduction) and I am having a blast. However I think posts I have read here have discouraged me from trying out pvp.

You realize you are UP when you try out another class. You end up getting better result with less efforts very quickly

just checked, 11k burn damage on my condition damage build in 6 sec… ya, owie

Burn tick every second, Unless your burning ticked for 2k(which is impossible.) 11k damage over 6 second with burning is impossible.

With a full condition build, 11k damage would take 15’ish second

I don’t think anyone who played more than one class will deny the ele need to be rebalanced. Currently(other than being fun to play) There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to play an elementalist in term of effectiveness. Other classes can do more damage while being tankier
