If you think of the bandits as White Mantle cultists( which some are revealed to be) it becomes a bit more interesting
. But I agree, the human story is a bit lacking in impactful plot and memorable lore charters( pretty much just Logan,Anise, and Queen Jennah over and over again). I feel like Anet could of handled the political intrigue a lot better(which is what sold the humans as interesting in the earliest blog posts),all of the human nobles come off as snobs and I get no emotional attachment to any of them no matter how many times they feature in the story.
I’m a fan of the theory that Anise is actually the Queen herself in a mesmeric disguise while the Jennah we see her “protecting” is either a loyal companion in a similar disguise or just an illusion. What better way to protect the last heir to Kryta then through a solid misdirection like that? It also makes our time with the Countess much more interesting imo.
