Aw, that picture makes me sad. I have nothing constructive to say.
I’m in the same (or similar) boat you are. Except I have a radeon 5770 card. Was playing fine at 30+ fps up until a few days ago. Went down to 8ish, then 5ish, and as of last night I’m sitting at a solid 1 fps. Haven’t made changes to my computer recently, everything else runs just dandy, and my internet is purring along as usual. All signs seem to be pointing to something anet has changed.
Well, if it is a process, I don’t know what it would be. None show inordinate usage in task manager.
@Quantik.8571 I don’t think it’s the same issue. My game runs smooth as butter until I load into a map. Then it is a constant lag at about 3 fps with “spikes” up to 8ish if I just stand still in an unpopulated area.
I’ve tried many different maps. Even hopped in a story instance. Same result. Also should be noted that all other internet activity is fine on my other devices and on this same comp when not running GW2. I usually skype while playing and my wife is usually on her laptop surfing the web and watching netflix on the tv. All of this runs fine even with GW2 chopping it up at 5 fps.
I’m away from my computer at the moment, but last i looked the load was at about 43% maybe 46%

As far as playing GW2 and my computer goes, I have made no changes. Was running 30-50 fps depending on players on screen since launch. Last night I started the game, had a short update (maybe?) to the client (wasn’t really paying attention.) Now when I run the game I get about 3-8 fps and my whole computer seems to bog down. I’ve seen similar threads in this forum and I have tried many of the fixes and nothing seems to work.
I can only assume there was a small patch to GW2 that has broken me. Anyone have any suggestions?

It’s inevitable to some degree, unfortunately. What bothers me, as a Norn that wears medium armor, is that all of my armor options have some kind of trench-coat look. This means that every single weapon I wear is half hidden in my coat flaps. If I want to preview the look of an axe or something, I have to go to my character tab and take off my armor, otherwise I can’t see my axe. It’s also annoying that I know my cool looking items aren’t easily seen by others without me having to draw my weapons.
I haven’t done spvp yet, but maybe there are points in the Mists
Thanks Aradon, you are right.
Ok, thanks! That’s what I assumed, but I just wanted confirmation.
When you have multiple runes of the same type it opens up successive bonuses on those runes. Does each of these bonuses stack? Ex. 6 superior runes with the first stat as +10 power. Would that be +60 power total or just +10 but you get the successive bonuses too?
It is near there, but it is not the chest you are thinking of. Just go to that vista and look behind the rocks that are north of the vista. Should be a small chest in the crevice.
Arctodus: Archie Bunker
Shark: Om Nom Nom
Polar Bear: Coke Addict
Wolf: Rin Tin Toothy
There is a chest in the northern part of the map, behind the vista beside the waterfall. It’s tucked away behind a rock and doesn’t seem to be interactive. Anyone know if it’s just decoration or does it have a purpose?
I didn’t know that Bluestone, thanks! On a slight aside, the icon in the upper-left for the friends list will update with the number of friends you have online…supposedly. But I’ve noticed it doesn’t do that until I hit 3 friends on. 1 or 2 and I get nothing.
I bought a g600 mouse, so my skills are all on that
I sent you a pm
You’ll be making alot more loot in PvE. I mean really ALOT more. Since there you can nonstop kill mobs.
In PvP you have to kill a player. Even if you kill alot you won’t get that much loot.
I see your point, but having to farm PvE to WvW is simply wrong. The WvW is a pretty big moneysink itself if you buy siege engines and objective upgrades. No need to get punished for dying. Just makes the difference of winning vs losing server even bigger and forces the losers to quit the fight cause it gets too expensive.
Bad design.
I must be playing it wrong, then. Because winning or losing, I’m making a good chunk of change. I’m sure I could run PvE and make a bit more, but I find Wv3 pretty fun.
I can agree with most of this. I do use S&R in dungeons, though.
To Grant, karma and xp are good incentives, I agree. But you know people just love loot so much more
sidenote: the word I used that got censored to “kittened” was not one I’d expected to be censored. But it sure is funny that it was!

I disagree. If there’s no durability loss, how do you counteract all of the “free” loot and money everyone gets for participating? Then the market would slowly flood and crash. Or the rewards would need to be kittened, and then the incentive to play is lessened.
I’ve found that happening to me, though I wasn’t sure what mechanic was setting it off. I’ll start paying attention to the mobs health next time it happens.
