Being able to do 15man claw , or a 5 man champion, wich some classes you can do a 1man chapion with no effort, this doesn’t change nothing. It only shows that jormag is a boss with good mechanics. It’s absolutely normal for a small but progressive party do achive more than a big blob of random people, the thing is every time you are on the overflow u get paired with different people ,different playstyles, different goals. I doubt the worm and marionette bosses will fall on some servers ever , let alone the overflow.
Absolutely impossible to get in for the after 9pm boss runs, and when u finally get out of the overflow , most oriented people call it a day and logg off.

Lets make a structured post , contaiting “some” problems players from the leading servers are going through.
Desolation player here, been running arond since the very first start on Deso , both pve , wvw and alot of structured.
It aways kitten s my mind how some decisions contradict each other as in world action withtin the game.
Overflow on paper was a good idea , keep zones saturated , but not clusterkitteny, while giving the chanse to the people on overflows to have fun and interact with each other.
ON PAPER, then reality hits you in the face. World bosses who drop loot , precursors , achives , whatever they are considered importat parts of the gameplay ,are allso events , wich happen of a cooldown and trigger ,EVEN on overflows.
For what ever reason, there are still no raid-like-multy-party dungeons in the game , where you can actually have a scedule about. It’s not my job to question why is the monthly content has been extremely open world oriented.
Allmost a perma overflow for the boss zones on Deso , the events are cool and hard, thus making them UNPLAYABLE on Overflow, THUS making it impossible to do them with your own server. For a game that states that you can play with little free time weekly , you rly pulled the rug underneath everyone this time. Outside the bosses those zones are absolutely dull , i have several maxedout toons most of wich in the 100-90% world completion, and i have no initiative to camp for hours so i can stay outside the overflow.
Either stop making world bosses in zones with small people capacity, or make the world bosses scalable and playable on the overflow, or make multypartyraids , where u can actually go on demand.

Get rid of all-in bunker builds . Get rid of the Protection boon . No hardocrebunker make the game way more interesting because of constant changes in node controll . 80% of the games , after you either loose or win the 1-st teamfight the game is pritty much OVER.
-get rid of all-in bunks
-get rid of spike brusts (mesmer , thief , gs warr)
-give different hotjoin matches 5v5 6v6 4v4 (8v8 is a slugfest of thiefs and mesmers ,and if you are casually playing the game u get angry and get on the forums ranting about how much the theif needs 2be nerfed)
-mesmer portal needs a range nerf , because it is making this particular proffesion mendatory for competitive player versus player
-the currnet ticket value for paid tournaments is absurd. Make it from 5 to 1 , because people are looking for other games.
-ladders , info info info. People play competitive because of the info they get. 80% of the viewers on twitch are teams watching other teams , becase of the lack of info.
-the developement scale atm is 10-5% pvp – 85-90% pve .

tPvP: A possible fix of the "bunkerproblem" in the current Meta?

Get a randomass bunker. Get him to the middle of the point and let him faceroll CD’s.
Get a randomass elementalist(“support” cuz we’re to hypster ot say OP"). Get him to stack aoe on the bunker.
Get a randomass bunker engi(must not contain a soul). Put his kitten on the close point and let him faceroll mechanicis.
Get a randomass “offensive guardian” (offensive guardian means , he has 10% less hp from a bunker and 20% less brust from a glass cannon , yet has most of the survivalabilities of a bunker). Put his kitten next to the aoe effects on the map a.k.a bunkerzone.
Get a randomass necro/thief/mesmer – must either oneshotpeople or fear.
setup 2:
Get a randomass bunker. Put his kitten on mid
Get a randomass bunker. Put his kitten on mid
Get a randomass condition/bunker. Put his kitten on mid
Get a randomass bunker. Put his kitten on the close point
Get a randomass thief/mesmer. Put his… it’s a mesmer he’ll be aaait
setup 3.

OK , so i said what was on my mind for this topic , a couple of days ago . Today when the paid tournaments are real , we it’s extremely kitten EVERY single team has a bunker a shatter and a support ele. EVERY single team . More than 50% of the teams have bomb engineer. We’re not talking about a competitive game , we’re not talking about a somewhat normal metagame , we’re talking about a kitten experiece for everyone who wants to play a different from that setup team. Look at all the “big” teams with streams and channels. Every single one of them is using the kitten build , and everyone is doing the SAME EXACT THING. Pepople should learn from their misstakes. Why is wow’s arenas soooooooooooo reatarded and aways dominated byt 1-2 setups . Because the game lacks balance and because noonegives a kitten about wow being a E-sport. I RLY hope Anet works on the problems , because playing a heavy bunker game is just kitten Rly rly mad about the state of the game and how everyone is abusing the kitten out of the setups

The meta is rly close to wow arenas atm. And the sad thing is all the so called"big" teams use this cheeze ele/guardian/mesmer with some more bunker oriented proffesions. Even mediocre playes with no spvp experience and 0 communication can roll this setup and win most games with little to no effort. Talking smack about the holy trinity and how gw2 is going to give players interesting and DYNAMIC pvp is starting to sounds like the cake joke form Portal.
The problem isn’t just the milions of kids playing bunkers , it’s how much bunkers you can get on a team. When a bunker guardian with a spirit hammer and a bomb bunker engi get on your close point from the 1-st minute and 2 mesmers with a bunker guardian spamming the kitten out on mid , you kind of see all the things that need fixing. I have nothing against tank builds , but Anet have stated over and over again that it is intended for dps/brust oriented builds to destroy full all in tanking builds so the game can be DYNAMIC and interesting from the 1-st to the last secound.
I rly hope that they will look into all the slackers just afk-in in tournaments playing 5 condition/tank builds , because this so called meta is actually loosing player base.
And there are alot of other things like the mesmers on Kylo , wich have a 10sec run time for a reb-rep .
People who cry constantly about thiefs , should rly stop playing hot joins and start thinking of ways to adapt their gamestyle and reactions to thiefs. It’s like 2-3months now , you should be able to know what a thief would do to you if u don’t react. The same thing a warrior will do if he bullcharges you and even more.
Another thing is , thiefs in teamfights with mesmers and eles involved (every single match in structured) strugle to survive and allmost never go mele weps. This is to say that after you finally down someone , you can’t stop because of aoe trigger happy elementalists.
Another thing , me and my team have notised in the past couple of weeks is that when you down a tank , he can get ressed so fast , that everything you’ve done dies in vain. I ask you Anet , why is ressing players and some dowstate mechanics so fast and unblockable. Why is after rally hp so high when on a bunker. Why in the revive faster than the finish. Why is the mesmer doing ~~ 7-9k dmg during his downed state. Why is the warr hitting for 2k rocks. Why is the guardian push on a class like the guardian and not on a class like the elementalist. Why the ranger can beat everysingle class in a downstate showdown.

There are particular like 1-2 skills that rangers bot in wvwvw . Like the arrow rain cripple skill they just spam the kitten out during gate kills. This is rediculors. 50% of wvw is rangers , and everysingle one of them is with the long range bow or the shortrangebow with the aoe. Come on , i was thinking anet were going to twink wvw faster as it is the only real “endgame” of the game. Rly there are some classes wich are crippled in wvw and rangers and engeneers wich just spam kitten and ruin the game experience for everyone. Give me w/e army composition u want and a bunch of rangers(huntards) can basicly hold a gate for ever. And fix the mesmer line of sight casting illusions , because this is kitten 20 people on the gate and a mesmer can make 5-6k to each one of them , without even seing them.

If a thief is using heartseeker on targets above ~~50% then you should be able to own him , and if u can’t then the problem is actually in your own skills , build , pc preformance. Stop flooding the forums with thief QQ-in , they are far far far away from being the most problemable class. It’s just a butload of them on hotjoins. Start playing tournaments for pity sake god

Just gona say this for tournaments playing kylo:

-Mesmer trebouchet portals. Give them a shorter ranger , or let them drop the repair kit , because it makes the entire MAP kitten full of instaporting mesmers. Why bother killing the treb when they can fix it in less than 10 secs.
-Bunker Guardians. Bunkers on mid with push mechanics make u drop to the 1-st floor
-Fix how Fear works when in the clocktower , because u can make people drop from basicly everywhere
-ELEMENTALIST trebouchet killers. Everysingle elementalist playing deathsupport with the staff firestorm and aoe.
-This is the last map for the Tournaments. If it was the 1-st one I would have probably not give a fucj , but most of the teams are cheezing the game and this is bringing the game standarts to a all new LOW

what the hell is the poster qq-in about. If u want thief-free games go play free tournamnets and see what’s wrong with the game. This is supposed 2be a fast pased action based combat. Not some Guardian and Ele afk-in on the midpoin in every map. This was a rather annoyance a weak ago , but as for now , every team MUST have a guardian and is highly important to have a elementalist build for support with the staff. When u want a competitive game and u have some classes wich are a MUST , then u have a serious problem. Thiefs can’t oneshot and have serious issues with bunker guardians , condition rangers , and allmost every tanky build in the game. People should stop crying about getting owned and Anet should start fixing kitten up , before the paid tournaments show up

Mediocre players that know how to whine are the bane of forums. Let me just point out that this game is supposed to be competitive. When you die from better players , you look for your misstakes 1-st. After the thief making the steal or c&d , going in stealth and afterwards hitting you , you had all the time in the world to counteract with something. Anet have stated over and over taht there are extreme builds in the game and people will be rly interested in showing off. The hardest hitting skill in the game isn’t backstab , the thief has little to none survivalabilites if being countered. It’s job is to pick targets in Spvp 5v5 , and be mobile around the map , or to make cap holders leave the point if condition built. The logic is simple to comprehend :
-if you are playing with a power build , with low armour and a low hp pool dependent on the proffesion played, you will die. You will die from defensive build in most cases , you will die from other power builds and condition build , and you will die even faster from selfaware theifs. Go on youtube and look for teams playing vs other teams , check streams , the people have kindly given their builds and tips.
-please for the love of god or whatever you believe in , if you are talking about nerf , consider your own skills and the fact that not the steath and backstab need fix, but the signet that is making the entire thing work.

If we’re talking about 5v5 structured , then yes , there are some specific builds that need fixing. What i see in most of the posts are people raging about thiefs and nothing else. That brings me to think , they spend way 2much time of the forums , and not ingame ,building a stable gamestyle against them. True or not , the thief does alot ,even if in the hands of a mediocre player. That mediocre player on the other hand makes other mediocre players , playing more “complex” classes such as necros and engis cry . I’m not going to go around on a leave britney alone type rant about how the thief are fine , for the job they are supposed to be , because in competitive games more than 50% of the builds people play are thief-proof. Bunker Guardians , bunker engis ,glass/shatter mesmers and staff support eles are way more overpowered than thiefs , yet people stay ignorant of those facts. The fixed Anet are dashing out with haste are infact an eye opener for what is wrong with the game because they have the most information about the things that are happening atm. Just open your patchnotes and read

Usually i don’t make forum posts , because most of them get midless flame and fanboy defend , and no actual Anet attention. Anyway:
The new downed state scales with power , so this brings me to one thing.
It’s probably good in the moments someone downedstate camps u on a point, but on the other hand it’s DESTROYING 1v1 in the game with classes with good downedstate mechanics. I’m running a rather glassy proffesion and i win 90% of my 1v1s but after the patch the people like warrs in downed state are pumping extreme numbers ~~1k per rock. This is rediculous and just doesn’t work for structured pvp. This is gamebreaking and kitten I know this change is made to make people choosing finishing rather than downedcamping , but post fight n00bs playing power build are rly owning the afterfight with INSANE numbers.
