A lot of time I get “player/channel not found” even if I can chat to the player.
The only solution at the moment is (both) restart game client, one invite to friend list, invite to party and then remove from friend list.
Can’t join either, same error.
As a guardian I have a knockback on 2 Downed. When I go down and I see that knocking enemies down will be detrimental to my party (mobs are inside of the fields etc), I don`t use it.
So, if you are feeling 2 skill would involve undesired consequences – dont use it. You have other three.
If you use a skill that should teleport, stealth and create a copy, you expect it to works correctly.
Expecially, I were already near lava so I needed it to get out of the lava (I were in lava for something like 2 units, obviusly the skill brought me 10 units inside lava).
The other 3 won’t work in that situation obviusly.
The Mesmer downed skill 2 I swear teleports you to a WORSE place, 100% of the time. If there is no worse place, it will teleport you to the SAME place. It is an evil skill and you should never use it. The only times I’ve ever had it teleport max distance is to land me in a spike trap, lava, or the nearest veteran mob available. Otherwise it will teleport you under the boss or mob so it’s positive if you’re with buddies, you’ll get cleaved to death and can’t be saved. If your alone, and greater danger does not exist other than where you are, you will not be ported greater than 5 units so your clones attack will make sure your stealth is useless as you’ll just be hit anyways.
Of course this could all just be me having crap luck 99% of the time. I would like there to be intelligence placed into the random port – or at the very least max distance away from the targeted mob (or better, ground/cursor). That still will have huge flaws, but at least it can be more useful. The preferred option would be to have what the Thief has, as I love that skill… but that would be the further homogenization of the game. I would gladly settle with the teleport 700 units away from target (900 would only be a concern as that would likely take you out of Mind Blast range).

Not to mention that in pvp you have a giant red arrow on you, while your copy doesn’t have it
We have a big bug as mesmers, skill number 2 when downed teleports you in a random place. Now with the new system, where you can’t resurrect during a boss (I found it a good idea), this skill it’s becoming a real problem.
1) It usually teleport you under the boss, instead of being a helpful skill, this usually involves your dead.
2) It teleports you in LAVA. YEA inside lava, so instead of saving you, not only this will kill you, but will make you impossible to resurrect, because in lava you take 4800 damage per second even while dead.
In CoF (Citadel of Flame) Path 3 last boss, I were teleported near the lava, pressed 2 to avoid taking other damages, teleported me inside the lava and I can’t do anything else. People can’t help me because my body stays in the lava after dead.
Can you please fix this skill AND the fact that the body stays in the lava even after dead?

I’m running a melee build (dual wield sword) with a scepter+pistol combo (giving me parry in both situations).
I’m not interested in WvW, but I’m heavy interested in dungeons.
I would like to know if having vitality/toughness it’s a requirement or should I wear all berserker set (and trinkets). I really do not know, because at the moment even if I have 3 pieces with power + vitality+ toughness, if there are troubles, I can save myself only through skills, it doesn’t look those stats help me in any way.
The “fan as a focus skin” is understandable and is more probable than getting an entirely new weapon. But:
In a future expansion, giving us new skills is almost obligatory… cause only if new maps are added (including races, classes etc.) that’s not much of an expansion, only content expansion.
GW2 as far as I know does not wish to increase lvl cap, therefoe giving us skill is only possible via new weapons and/or utilities.
And as noted above, mesmers have weapons which are completely useless. We have either short ranged melee weapons, or long ranged condition stacking or cookie cutting gs. No medium range. We are therefore degenerate versions of warriors and elementalist/necros. The foretold uniqueness of our class is not present. We have our mechanics, but with the constant “fixing” it looses it’s value.
And the concept came from the single idea that these pictures, these walpapers which should depict our classes as they are is ONLY inaccurate about mesmers. Taking into account all the trouble our class went through, for me it was a deep cut. Seems unfair.The main problem is that Anet COULD do so many wonderful things with this game, but the arising problems from the beggining plagued their work (gold sellers, tp, wv3 lag, botting etc).
Even if these issues are not competely solved they should start focusing on creating a gaming experience which is unique and ground breaking. We have dodge, which is a very simple mechanic yet changes the whole game, for the better.
Addig new weapons and reforging some original (and failed) ideas about classes need to take place in order to maintain a satisfied player base.
And funnily, ‘fans’ would not require the creation of new animations or graphics, just resizing and using older animations. Not much of a work if we look at the big picture. But would satisfy thousands.Anyway, that’s my opinion.
I think you are wrong on some points, while “mesmer need some love” is definitely true, infact we have the most heavy bugs on our class that are even creating some problems with some builds, like retailation not working on phantasms, off-hand weapons are quite ok.
Maybe TORCH is not perfect (but I’ve heared people using it), FOCUS is widely used, even if iWarden is bugged (yea, this is what is keeping me away from focus) and it’s not moving after each complete “attack”. Sword and Pistols are widely used. Staff is a LONG range weapon, Greatsword too, while Scepter is not heavily used because is maybe the less powerful weapon (yea, has a parry on main hand, but can be used for tanking maybe? 2 Parries, we are the only class which can do this), and I think is a medium-range weapon because it has short ranges (900).
So, we actually have a medium range weapon, the problem for me is that we have only “long range” as a full range, maybe they inteded this as a gameplay feature (if you play melee, you have to play medium range too), could be, and this isn’t so bad if you think about it because Mesmer is the king of “strange builds” being itself a strange class.
If this is not a gameplay feature, we are definitely missing another melee weapon (AXE!!! PLEASE!!! I know you will give us a dagger anyway :P) and another medium range weapon (maybe pistol?). Both as main hands obviusly.
The other problem, is that mesmer are strong, because it’s a new type of class that do not exists in other games. People don’t know how to play vs Mesmers because they can’t attack the correct one, even if clones HAVE ONLY MAIN HAND WEAPON (and this is the biggest bug, you can play only two handed weapons in pvp because of this! Except shatter build obviusly :P )
I don’t think we are so OP as they describe us, but because people feel us as being an OP class, what happens is that ANet requires to work on this feeling (they are the biggest part) and fix it.

Yea, we already have fans available “as for gameplay”, I don’t know about graphics.
Anyway, mesmer need another melee weapon, they have only sword as a melee weapon and it’s really boring ^^
Really, I played the game since the release but all well-known bugs for the mesmer aren’t fixed yet. Expecially those for “downed” and retailation that override fury, completely eliminating the possibility to use that tree if you want bleeding…
Aren’t there any possibilty to see some fixes for this? We didn’t have any notice about it.

Yea should be implemented, expecially merged with gender change too… I don’t want my “Big Joe” becomes a pretty small girl. Lol.
