As note, I was idling in character select around the time the test was apparently started, so perhaps the had some unwarranted impact. Logging in or out makes no difference, however.
Having the same problem. I had the demo slots available to me about 15 minutes before the stress test begun then they disappeared after I log out of my main character to switch to the demo slots.
I didn’t see this, though.
If you do not have any new slots see if your old character is there
They are not. I just checked (again). As stated in my previous post, only my regular 10 slots show up and no demo slots. :P
Moving the character-select slide-y panel thing only moves by 3 characters to reveal the remaining 7.

No Demo Character Slots show up for me.
I had two in the preview weekends, and my characters from those still show up in the API (`R I P Boons` and `Op in Wvw`) – on gw2efficiency at least.
Empty or filled demo character slots are just not displaying on my character select. My 9/10 regular slots are the only ones there (as usual).

Sorry for the delay, I don’t use the forums that much haha.
This sounds great, I’ll take a look at it on GitHub for sure.
A special API permission would definitely be preferred though.
Not sure where is best to post this, but uh:
Are there any plans for a /guilds API?
In specific I’d really like to be able to fetch my guild’s MOTD dynamically. I understand it would need some account scoping, so I guess maybe an account permission within a guild rank would do?
Oh and Aetherium would be nice too.
I really like the Glint ground effect. Seems fitting, and also is a great visual indicator, both for myself and others.
Maybe it could go slightly more transparent out of combat, at most.
The 64-bit binary seems to work quite well for me. I think a bit better than 32-bit, as my computer doesn’t seem to be running as hot.
I have a pretty exotic setup:
2012 Retina Macbook Pro, bootcamped with Windows 10. i7 2.6gz, 8gb 1600MHz DDR3 ram, Nvidia 650m.
Periodically (on the order of hours, about every 2 or so I think) I experience a sort of buffering issue that’s very hard to describe, and not reasonable to screenshot.
It’s like everything (sound, frames, etc) stall for a second and then very quickly catch up over another second. Looks very motion-blurry and sounds kinda like a scratched record.
I run with mostly lowest settings except native sampling, and medium character models at low (not lowest) quality. 1600×900 resolution iirc. Audio quality is fastest.
My guild has been considering getting the Portal but this will surely turn us away.
We have a sizeable amount of new people and being able to directly go to the Guild Mission locations, irrespective of level, would be awesome since it means we don’t need to spend a huge amount of time running new people to the spots every time. Sadly it sounds like it does not do this. :(
Fwiw, the difficulty of the jungle creatures seemed a little underwhelming compared to BWE2. I’m sure this has been mentioned already though.
- Receive less damage from weakened foes.
I’d prefer this option. I like the idea of being able to be tanky enough to survive a bit too, rather than just finish off foes.
A general thing about Celestial Avatar and tagging mobs: If healing an ally near to a mob would contribute to tagging it for loot, that would be much better for healing-focused builds.
Hi there,
I realize this is a little late but there were two things that stood out during BW3 that I don’t see addressed here:
Wings of Resolve should be a leap finisher, baseline. Traited with Soaring Detestation, however, it feels like it should be a blast, maybe.
It would feel more worthwhile if Heavy Light (and similar trait based cc’s with an internal timer) would not attempt to activate on bosses unless their break bar is open so as to not waste the internal cooldown. Having it waste against regular blocks / evades / etc is fine, of course.
Overall DH felt very nice and tangible though. Good job!
Hey all,
The Reflexive Hammers trait in retribution is going to be changed after BWE3, before launch. Right now since it uses projectiles that hover around you, they currently don’t work underwater and I think it no longer really fits the line as that is more about damage, plus it muddies the FXs around the character when the actual hammers are around you.
Soooooo…. I wanted to throw out an idea I had about a new GM trait for retribution to place it and see what you all think. The trait would be more dwarf stance focused since we don’t have a dwarf stance specific trait.
- It would give you some way to proc Rite of the Great Dwarf like at some percent health trigger or something and then make Rite of the Great Dwarf (both proc and the skill) have reduced condition damage taken as well while allies have the buff.
Let me know what you think.
This sounds better to me!
I was thinking about condi damage reduction recently and that seems a little sparse right now so this could help fill in that gap.
(Also this sort of thing works quite well with warrior and Endure Pain.)
+1 to separate queue.
the big issue arises with builds that are good in one are likely mediocre in the other, or just mediocre all around.
Also, this means it is harder to easily practice for GvG. :/
+1 to separate queue.
The issue here is that people will end up making builds that either work well in conquest, or in strong hold, or mediocre in-betweens.
It’s completely different, and this is just treating it badly. :/
I really like the cover art for Fractured!, but it seems it to be the only release without a wallpaper?
