The Seasonal Concept

the first season of the f the Living Story is about to end and in retrospective my greatest problem was and still is that i missed too much of it. counting all the attempts i have approximately missed around 70% of it because i’m a working person that lacks the spare time to play when the Living Story wants me to. For someone that has seldom more than 4 hours time to play in a week it’s a literally pain that you are thrown into events you don’t know what they caused or understand the reasons for them. This caused a lot of grief and the consideration of quitting came up more than one time. Not to mention anger and as result bad blood toward people that are completely guiltless.
I always played Guild Wars for the Story but now it’s like reading a book where the most pages are missing. And to adjust my rare sparetime completely to the game can’t be the right solution. 4 hours a week are not enough if you want to enjoyall teh facettes and reading summaries of what happened is neither satisfying nor does is helps to understand because all the small details i love the game for are usually left out.

i don’t want to rant pointlessly but unfortunately the seasonal concept does not work for me and it makes me sad that i will most likely not be able to participate what is – to my knowledge – the expansion of the Personal Story even if i would love to stay in touch with the Lore and the story.

but maybe that is just me.

EDIT: repost since i missed the english forum at the first try

In the very Beginning many Players made friends with people all over the world and benefit from the fact that they could play with each other despite the fact of their home Server. Friendsships that already made it hard to decide on which side of the atlantic their final Home should be.
There was no optimal solution because we all had to left friends on the other side of the world. THe only thing we could hope for was the vross atlantic geusting but our hopes didn’t verify. Knowing that the new system would be different from guild wars 1 we still hoped that the greatest advantage – to play with player all over the world creating and maintain friendships over spacial distants – would be reoccur. Instead we have friends devided by a schism that had us made the terrible decision to chose which of them we will see in the future, which we will be able to play with and which others we could only talk to.
The main experience of an MMOG is the shared fun of playing. the interaction and the shared success.
it’s a terrible fate we’ve met although we did know about it from the start.
Would there be any chance to guest between EU and NA server even with restriction i’m sure there would be moe than a few players that would gladly accept these limitatiojns just to met their friends again and share some time with them.

i support this idea
