Runes ARE too expensive and you cannot get them back from the armor you put them in without breaking the armor itself. This is just another bad barrier to experimenting with various builds and are one of the worse part of GW2.

You can test almost every runeset in the pvp lobby, and how they work with builds for free. So if you’re really not sure about a rune investment just hop over there, beat on some golem dummies and find out for yourself.

What’s your favorite choice for weapon sigils? I’m running a rifle build, and currently using lightning. Particularly since bloodlust is too pricey right now.

Ogre rifle is very shotgunny.

I’m using the Avenger/Advent Guard (Charr racial t3 skin). It’s got a big barrel, and a bayonet.

Level 14 fractals here.

I’m running something like that cookie-cutter build you mentioned. 30 explosives, 10 inventions, 10 alchemy, 20 tools. My armor is power / toughness / vitality with runes of Melandru, while my jewelry is berserkers.

That’s also my WvW build, and I could switch it up. But until I get to a point where Fractals is a challenge or I have a regular party that wants to work out roles it is unnecessary.

Rifle, med kit, nades, elixir gun, and elixir U or R depending on the fight.

Elixir U is great, not for the haste, but for the reflect / smoke barriers on the toolbelt skill. The invis field isn’t too great, but it has randomly saved mine or a teammate’s kitten

Agony is easily outhealable, and if you can get your mates to stack up, with Kit Refinement you’ll keep everyone up.

As the post above mentioned, grenades are super at close range as well – not necessarily in the mob’s face, but 300-600 (out of melee range).

Not sure if its a exactly a bug or not, but found out today that using elixer X underwater gives you no skills to use while transformed. Bug or not its pretty wonky.

The elementalist underwater whirlpool vortex transformation has no skills, so that may have been what you experienced. Try it next to a mob, and you should see damage tick on them.

One of the dungeon armor sets from CoE has condition damage + MF.

How about just a gadget called “Portal Bomb,” where you drop 2 charges, and then detonate them to create a portal. Hah.

Why not have 2 sigil of corruption? Does it not stack even more

It will stack twice as fast, but you will still max out at 25 stacks.

I think the third stat for Traveler’s is magic find (like Traveler Runes). If you want the stats, there’s a couple dungeons (CoE being one) that have a magic find set. Otherwise there’s the crafted set using claws.

For the appearance you’ll have to brave the TP, and zone completion, as Silver said.

Then you could combo your bomb fields off your bombs, and that would be cheap.

i do /dance on every thief /mesmer i kill in 1 vs 1
specialy if he got more orbs then me
i also use /dance at every thief that stealth after 20 seconds of fight and try to run away , usualy works , they rage and come back on fight

Haha, I don’t dance after beating them, but now I’ll try that if they try to run away.

The one emote I think that’s missing is /golfclap, and being able to do it after death. Though I can imagine if people could still emote while a corpse it would cause some spam havoc.

I think Zhaitan’s dragon servants are still undead, so he killed or had a servant kill them to turn them into servants themselves. They just happen to be ranked higher than other lesser species in his army.
