Were you doing the story? ThAts part of a mission with the trumpet.
No, I was running along with some other chaps killing stuff. I had the horn from the story in my inventory but was not playing the story.
After a bit of a fight in that tangled forest place, I found I could no longer use my great sword with the message that it cannot be used by this class, and I was automatically equipped with a trumpet. After a reset things returned to normal.
What gives?
When there’s a fight, all players sort of disappear and are replaced by a massive fireworks display.
It’s true you haven’t a clue what is going on in a large fight because of the light show, and end up just pressing random buttons and hope you don’t die.
Can you have more than one account using the same email or does it need for you to have a different email address for each account?
A bit odd really. I expected it to be for crafting in the field or something, but thanks for the enlightenment.
What are these crafting backpacks actually used for, or of what good are they? I have read the text that goes along with one, but it makes for a pretty vague description of their main usage.
Seen something yesterday that I’ve not seen for ages, one of those bots that pops up near a resource then sort of travels underground to the next resource.
I thought GW2 was now bot-free.
I was in the exact same position as your good self and not only adopted to start a new HOT account, but also upgraded my old account to HOT.
I now have two characters at the free level 80 upgrade, one thief and one guardian.
I often switch between accounts playing which ever one takes my fancy.
Why? Because I really like the game that’s why, and if I didn’t spend my money on GW 2 then I would be spending it on some s***y steam early access game that I rarely ever enjoy.
This game is not jump friendly. Your sight pops in, out, up, down, extremely frustrating, not to mention your character jumps like a one legged pregnant duck.
Ducks lay eggs…
THAT’S HOW AWKWARD THE JUMPING IS! A pregnant duck is completely confused about its body mechanics, and so is a jumping GW2 character (Though the jump animation is absolutely great, especially on charr)
Jumping is made even worse by the fact that gravity in Tyria seems only half that of the real world, so rather than being 15 stone of pure muscle and toe nails, your a feather in the wind.

OMG, it really should be named ‘Heart of keys’ I have a bag stuffed with every type of key imaginable and I haven’t a clue as to what most of them unlock.
What next; Red herrings? It all a bit daft.

Thank you very much. I have been trying for hours to get it to work.
I have learned the elite skill longbow proficiency and was even given a long bow but I still cannot use it. Can anyone enlighten me?
Many textures have been having this issue for over a year. Usually I see them in caves such as for the guild rush in Fields of Ruin.
I was in a cave only yesterday, were I was to test a experimental gun out on creatures, I could not complete the mission because of the terrible glare from the caves textures. It really hurt my eyes.

I may be in the minority when I say that I like HOT, but I do find these tendrils to be a unnecessary dampener on what, is over all, a fun game.
At least they aren’t nearly as annoying as mushrooms are
Yes mushrooms can be quite annoying, but I think tendrils are in a class of their own when it comes to annoyance and the unenjoyable.
As well as being excessively boring to combat, there are so many of them, it’s like cutting the lawn one blade at a time.
Would anyone agree that tendrils make for the most boring combat imaginable?
Who on earth would come up with the idea of a stringy cabbage that would knock you back with it’s stench while lobbing great mounts of rotting cabbage at passers by?
It should instead, trip you up if you wander to close. At least that would be mildly amusing.

My method of dealing with HOT is to wait on a safe patch until I see some people come passing by, and then jump in with them. I never have to wait more than a few minutes but progress quite well.
If you head towards the Virgil’s office at Virgil’s keep on passing the steps to your right the graphics go haywire for a few seconds. I have tried this many times with the same result.
We need something.
After playing around with my level 80, my bags get filled up with c*** every 10 minute’s, it’s so annoying having to sort this out all the time especially in Silverwaste where it’s hard to find a place without something trying to eat you.
I have searched everywhere for the crafting material snowflake. Can anyone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks for the explanation Vayne.
I got to silver waste using my level 80 boost. My word that map is nuts. They take a fort, you take it back., they take a fort, you take it back, and rinse and repeat. I can’t seem to find any point to it.
If GW2 is dying, then MMO’s are dying. As for all it’s little misgiving’s GW2 is still the best overall online experience out there.
Thanks guys.
I often see players with speciel symbols running around that show up on my map. Why, what are they doing?

That’s great. Thank you
I would like to know if you receive a larger backpack later on in the game as it’s now called a Starter backpack?
Are trophy’s worth keeping, they seem to have no worth but to take up room in your bag?
Thanks.
I think the Black desert dev’s have made a grave error with the forced open world pvp. I very much doubt they will ever enjoy the numbers that they could have had if not for that one boo-boo.
Roughly the same specs as OP and running win 10 with everything high. I am getting a near solid 60 fps at max fps 60, using version 355.98 NVidia drivers.
