Player since head start here. I just bought some games on steam for cheap. The last 2 days I’ve been playing Black Flag. So much fun! I’ll be logging into GW2 every 2 weeks or so for the LS, but the next day when I’ve exhausted the content it has to offer I’m back to the other games. I wish that GW2 would live up to the “expansion type content” and the “2 big projects” that Colin spoke of.
To me, Guild Wars 2 was and is the best looking MMOS out there. Still, despite the fantastic artistry and level design textures and lighting leave much to be desired.
One minute you’re in a highly polished area of the game, the next you’re staring at a terribly low-res texture. Same goes for lighting. Sometimes you have a shadow, sometimes you don’t.
I think a high-res texture pack will go a long ways without much code re-write (I assume). In any case I’d love a graphics overhaul even if it’s just once in GW2’s life span. Though I do take some comfort in noticing that the new zones and areas look better texture wise compare to zones included at launch.
I’d like my Charr to have whitey-tighty underwear, knee high white socks, and Tiva sandals. Does that mean I’ll get it? Probably not.
I was thinking of creating a Charr but I don’t know after reading this. Should I just choose the monocle instead? What does choosing the backpack even do?
What’s next? It says I’ve completed the steps to my story. Do I really have to wait till level 20 to do more? If so, then why doesn’t it say so?
I’ve been playing on and off since lauch. Currently I’m level 400 in cooking and artificing and level 500 in tailoring.
I’ve found it fun using the discovery panel to find things but ultimately I’ve leveled these disiplines as efficiently as possible to get a legendary.
But what is the point of crafting in the game if not to craft legendary or ascended items? Am I missing something? Is it just there for fun or is there some other practicality that I’m missing? Perhaps there’s a way to make money crafting items?
Any item worth crafting I’ve found cheaper on the TP. So usually I just buy it there.
I feel like the drop rates are considerably lower than when the game first released anyway. In the first few months of playing I’d have a dye drop at least once a day. I rarely get a drop now. It makes saving them up for my legendary painfully slow.
I’m interested in PvE, Dungeons, Exploration, Jumping Puzzles, and Crafting.
Looking for an active guild that’s willing to help me grow as a player so I don’t have to spend half my time on GW2 Wiki.
10/10 Well done Anet!
Every MMO i’ve played limits player view distance. Maybe its a tech thing?
My server (Blackgate) is listed as Full. However, there a several zones with low pop. I’m guessing its cause most have hit 80 now. Does that sound right? Anyways, I’d love more people in the zone. Most events aren’t even being contested.
Would there be a way to reward a player with karma or coin if a botting account gets banned as a result of the players submission?
This might encourage player reporting and in turn help Anet out.
