Got his today about shut down or partially limiting my account in 72hrs. I was tired and shocked and without thinking I clicked the link. It wanted my email, account number, and other stuff….I realized at this point what I had done and closed the browser without entering in any information. What do I need to do to protect my account at this point? am I out of the woods, need to run some sort of virus check? Thanks for any help…Can’t believe I clicked on it, I know better:o(

Is there a way to preview the new hairstyles so that you can avoid spending $10 on some gems, only to find out you hate how they look on your characters?

Wow, very nice! Been in 4 fights where taco was downed and the most time we had left was 1:30…congrats!

Defeated Teq last night and although I was excited to kill him and get the achievment points, the reward was lacking. I ended up with a couple of blues, a green and a yellow. Once I get the last 2 achievements I probably won’t do this fight again. Good effort though AN.

I am fine with all of that. But Turn off the timer after the boss fights (frog) on tribulation mode. It sucks to spends tons of time in there and not get any credit because you somehow died after the boss died, but before you could get to the chest were warped out.

I loved the first adventure box. This one seems to have levels that are too long and nowhere near as fun as world 1 imho. But I can deal with that. The biggest issues with this version of the box are lackluster rewards, no developer communication, and its insanely buggy. Spent 3hrs in tribulation mode, beat it, and still did not get an achievement. There is no reason spending that much time on very hard content should be rewarded with nothing.

So frustrated right now….feel the need to vent. I just spent 3hrs in world 1 zone 3 getting all the achievements in tribulation mode. When we got to the frog king we found the lily pads to him to be extremely sensitive and hard to cross. Finally made it over and killed the frog king. But, while standing on the center lily pad I randomly died for some reason as the boss sunk into the acid.

Rage inducing as it is to say…I could not make it back to the lily pad with the chest in time and after all that work I received no achievement for completing the zone or my 3rd green coin from the box. Even though it gets under my skin, I can accept not getting the coin (there should be no timer), but no zone completion when I killed the boss!! Way to reward players after you stress them out with difficult content. I guess I should be happy I got all the stores and honeycombes….After this there is no way I am playing this box again/ dedicating time to it….not if all that work can be rendered pointless so quickly…

Same. A friend and I have been DCed about 7 times in a row. Each time we are able to play a few minutes and then get kicked. When we get back all progress during our pay time is gone. Started after the patch.

Bump. This is one of many threads asking this. We completed the quest phase (got the jug of karma) but now have 2 map fragments and a soggy bag. I had hope that they were going to turn out to be needed for an additional step (mad king book). Do we trash these or what Anet??? Would be nice if you answered on one of the at least 4 threads on this subject!

It would be nice for a answer. It doesn’t seem like a hard one…

I really want an answer on this as well…I have seen it asked a lot and cannot understand why Anet cannot just give a simple straight answer so that we can delete the items or use them!

Anet is there a phase 2 scavenger hunt or….is phase 1 the end after you receive your rewards? and should I delete the Map fragment, map of Southsun cove, and mysterious soggy bag that were leftover after receiving my phase 1 reward?

Edited my post to be more clear and to the point of what I would like to know. I really wish that Anet would at least just give an answer so that we know if the leftovers are junk or if we should hold onto them.

At least I am not the only one with this problem. Does anyone else have the issue or know if these items are trash or needed still??

Phase 1 had two scavenger hunt type quests. One quest sent you to talk to people and gave you a map fragment, Mysterious soggy bag, and a map of Southsun Cove. The other quest gave you a potion, a magic scroll, and a shell. I turned in both of these quests (finished while not bugged) and completed them for rewards.

The quest for the scroll,shell, and potion had its items disappear when I turned it in and received my reward. The other quest for THESE ITEMS: (Map fragment, mysterious soggy bag, and Map of Southsun cove) did not disappear. Are these items for a part 2 (like the mad king book) or are they trash? Please let us know.

lol Locce. I was not trying to say that (even if you were not replying to me). But even though I failed for two hours, I was having fun. The fun part is a perspective thing just like every other like and dislike in life. I did it with a big character, not sure about control setup and have seen my fair share of internet connection deaths (fortunately not on the tower) in my 10yrs of mmorpgs. But of course I do agree on the failures in life part :o) J/k

I know there has been a lot of ticked off people about this puzzle and maybe I will get some heat for saying this, but I loved it. I play a large character and it took me 2hrs to finally get it done, but I did do it. Looking back and knowing how frustrated it got me and how I wanted to pull out my hair, made it all worth it when I actually did it. I cannot remember the last time something in a game made me feel so accomplished. THANK YOU FOR THAT Josh Foreman!!!!

IMHO tall people are at a disadvantage, but so are short people who cannot see their jumps because of us. We are all at a disadvantage to those with those dang racial speed traits.Again this was hard, but not impossible. I loved it and I hope to see more things that are this difficult in the game. If things are so easy that there is no accomplishment in achieving it, whats the point?

Perhaps a “solo” version might be the only thing I would change in the future…but that’s just me wanting it a tad easier lol. Thank you very much Arenanet and I am sorry for those who gave up, but it is not impossible, its just hard. Hard enough that it actually feels like I earned something.

Not the only one. Myself and a friend on TS are experiencing the same thing. I was patching and then poof:o(

I love this game, but I do feel that if they are not ignoring the problem, they are not offering solutions. My monthly achievement was reset after I completed it. I still have other achievements that prove I completed it, but Arenanet says there is nothing they can do for me.

Its frustrating to loss progress because of a bug and be told your out of luck. Especially since it happened a couple of days before the month is ending and there is no way I have the time to complete it twice. To be clear my character was not reset only my monthly is bugged and its not just a graphical bug.

Has anyone else experienced their monthly achievement being reset? I completed mine and received the reward about three or four days ago. A couple of days later I logged on and it showed my monthly reset to zero progress and my achievement points taken away. So for example it says I have now completed 115 salvages total in the month, but I have over 500 recorded with the salvaging achievement that is not part of the monthly.

I contacted Arena Net and was told that even though I have proof of completing the achievement with achievements that run parallel to the monthly, there is nothing they will do to fix the issue. Am I the lucky one who experienced this or are there others? Its disappointing because I love the game, but I think I need to take a break until they are able to fix a bug taking away progress. Granted they have my money so it doesn’t seem that they care, but I could be wrong. Its just frustrating because getting 100k xp without zoning, dieing, or getting disconnected was very hard to do at lvl 35. Then having all your progress reset after completing it a couple of days before the end of the month is beyond frustrating.

ps: To be clear my account was not rolled back, only my monthly achievement was reset through said unknown bug.
