Keep trying, OP. You’ll come up with something that’s actually clever eventually…
You’ve got high hopes.
That’s true, but you’d still get other people to join up with. I don’t know how many different “do 4 events in a zone” dailies there are, but let’s say there are 20 of them. You’d have about 1/20th of the people getting the quest in each zone. That’s still a lot of people.
You could also partially randomize it. So yeah today everyone is getting one of the do 4 events in a zone quests but it’s distributed among five of the zones. Still reduces the giant zerg blob that runs all over new players and increases the amount of activity throughout the world.
So far I like the new daily system and the way it gives more specific rewards, especially for WvW. I was just curious, though, but would it be such a bad thing for each player to get a random set of dailies? So that instead of every single player on the Megaserver trying to escort a donkey in Queensdale you have people spread out doing events on various maps throughout the world. Likewise, maybe it’s not such a great idea that every player is trying to win a sPvP match as the same class or kill just one world boss.
I suppose one potential downside of this idea is that friends or couples who play together might have to do two sets of dailies if they wanted to party up. I’m not sure how many people do dailies as a group, though, so maybe it’s not a big deal. The upside is that you get activity spread throughout the game.
Just wondering if this was considered in the process of creating the new system.
Thanks

Cool, see you at Teq tomorrow.
What really needs to stop is putting the word meta in quotes. Metagaming is a concept that has literally been a part of role playing games for decades. You can just call it the meta. It’s a thing.
You’ll get it when the dailies reset in a few hours. You probably logged in last night which means you’ve already had your daily for the day.
