Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the Clock Tower JP.

I’ve reached the last jump of it maybe 10 times today and haven’t been able to get through. When the event first started last week, I was able to to the JP just fine. I have been waiting for the 2nd pass of the clock face (when it actually opens) to jump.

Just out of curiosity, I watched some other people jump in and they all jumped in around 1-2 clock tower walls sides after the clock face had passed. I tried mimicking this myself, but it didn’t work.

Any thoughts?

Hey guys, I just built a new computer and thought I’d try out gw2 again. I haven’t played for many months.

I did a fresh download using the 64 bit client (I last played when the beta version was new).

I am able to go into character select with no issues. However, maybe 2-10 minutes after loading a character, my screens all go to idle (not receiving a signal anymore). I play off of one monitor and 2 side monitors. All 3 are affected. My cpu fans start running at full speed, while my gpu fans are running like normal. While this is happening, I can still hear everything happening in the game. I can still use my keyboard/mouse.

I tried disabling my overclock on both the cpu and gpu, but if anything, the crashes happened sooner.

My system specs are:

i7-6850k
Asus X99-A II
32gb (8gb x 4) DDR4 2400 Corsair Vengeance LPX
1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD (game is installed here)
5TB WD Black HDD
2TB WD Black HDD
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW
Windows 10 Pro
4k LG main monitor

I’m updated to the latest Asus non-beta mobo driver (0801). 0903 beta was released 8/31.

I had nVidia’s 372.70 driver and the game crashed with that. I updated to the 8/30 released driver 372.70. Game still crashed. I used guru3D’s DDU to do a clean install.

My CPU is normally OC’d to 4.4ghz and is stable (doesn’t crash under different stress tests). My cpu, whether OC’d or not, never overheated while running GW2.

I’m kinda at a loss here. Does anyone have an idea what’s going on? I’ve had my system for around 2 weeks now. No other game/program crashes.

I’m also curious if anyone knows how big the client patch is. I’m getting 1-3 kb/s download on the 64-bit client as well.

EDIT: Just read in another thread that their client finished downloading at around 23,000 kb.

EDIT2: My client is still downloading. Above info is incorrect. It is now at 32600 KB downloaded. Ugh…

Just an update. I was finally able to fully log in.

Was in WvW (Eternal Battlegrounds) and randomly got disconnected with the title message. My character was in the Straits of Devastation before WvW.

I know my internet is working (how else am I supposed to post this) and I can no longer log in with that character nor any other character.

Anyone else have this issue just pop-up (there was a patch maybe 20 minutes ago)?

I can also confirm this is still bugged as of a few hours ago.

Also, I haven’t been able to do the “Research Destruction” one in Malchor’s Leap for the last day as the first event has been bugged in 3 different ways. I made a bug report for each.

I just tried and get the same error (code=1083:5:7:1595:101) as when the issues first started happening.

EDIT: As a side note, the forums no longer lag for me.

Maybe I’m just making a stupid suggestion…but why not revert the changes made in the latest patch? At least we will be able to play and the devs won’t get more grief from us about a broken patch.

It’s bugged again as of 5 days after the HoT release. It won’t hold aggro on me even though I’m the only one there and just keeps doings its dash/spin move around.

600 and 150 are the values after the fix (that will be back in september). Right now, a drip gives 100 base karma and you got 87 extra karma with 87% boost. It checks out.

Oh really? I was looking at the gw2wiki numbers. I guess they didn’t “un-update” their numbers then. Thanks for the clarification!

Account bound karma boost. Always active. it’s from achievement points.

Oh yea, I forgot I have +7% account karma as well.

But that doesn’t explain how I get +24.67% when I had a total of +87% karma.

Today I tried to take advantage of a bunch of karma boosts in order to use up my karma before September 3rd.

I noticed I was getting the wrong amount of karma for the amount of boosts I had on me.

Karma buffs I had on me:
+50% booster
+5% food
+15% guild boost
+10% karma banner

I first used a single drop of liquid karma. They usually give +600 karma. I got +748 karma. Then I used a drip of liquid karma. They usually give +150. I got +187 karma.

I tested using another drip – same result.

My total boost amount was 24.67%. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Its impossible to get that number with the boosts I had on me.

Well for all you who say its easy an do it during downtime…there is no down time. I’ve been trying this for 2 months now. Still stuck at 0. No one is ever trapped, and they break so quickly i hardly even see it pop up.

And there aren’t low pop servers…. =(

About 45 minutes ago I removed a buy order from the trading post, but my gold never reappeared, even though it always has before. I submitted a support ticket and restarted my client a couple times, but no luck. All the tabs work fine. I even received money from something I sold during the 45 mins.

Has anyone else had this happen today?
