Computer gaming is still steadily on the decline even with steam. It’s irrelevant what people say.
.I am surprised by this genuinely. Never than in this year and the year before have I had people in my environment and in the communities I follow online turn to heavily into building their own gaming PC’s for the first time and gaming on PCs…
Not saying it is wrong, but it goes completely against everything I have experienced personally which is mind blowing.
This is one article:

Have you noticed how so many “PC” games now come out optimized for controllers instead of keyboards.
I know before Skyrim launched they expected to get most of their sales, the vast majority, from console sales.
I know that at least one game has gotten in trouble by limiting the graphic expansion on the PC, to keep in in line with console versions.
Consoles are generally cheaper than PCs, but more importantly they’re mindless. You don’t have to decide what video card you want. And most people are mentally lazy.
Consoles have taken a lot of gamers away from PCs.
So controllers for PC’s mean that the amount of people playing computer games is… declining? I don’t see the logic in this at all. If anything it’s they way how people are playing computer games overall. If I’ve missed something please inform me as it would be beneficial to my understanding in this argument.
Even if it was the case, I’d totally be fine with loosing these “mindless” people to consoles. Less morons to worry about on the internet if you ask me chuckles

in EU almost everyone uses TS over mumble
I have never been asked to join a mumble server ever in GW2, TS is very common though
Team Speak is common for everything.
No way dude, I think the sounds are funny as hell.
Steam is the largest gaming network that exists with over 100 million account worldwide the only 2 companies that officialy refuse to bring their games on Steam are Blizzard which has Battlenet and EA which has Origin and they both get a lot of hate because noone is using their launchers especialy EA is the most hated company that exists but now apart from that Guild Wars 1 and all of its expansions are on Steam why cant you justb ring Guild Wars 2 there too? me and many others want to have this game in the library there to save our played time and the other features. Elder Scrolls Online came to Steam aswell, hell even League of Legends was on Steam for 1-2 days it got removed after (no joke).
I really hope in the future Guild Wars 2 will come to Steam too it will just give ArenaNet a huge amount of money if they bring it because not only thousands of new people will buy it but a lot of the old ones including me will buy it again from there.
I don’t think NCSoft would allow something like this. They want Guild Wars 2 to fund their lineage and Aion.. lol…
and by that I mean the nickle and diming grindy feel whenever you want to change your character’s appearance or have more than character 5 slots or more bank slots or….etc. Like I paid 50+ USD $ for it when it originally came out. Played since day 1. I’ve got like two, TWO pieces of cosmetics I’ve unlocked (like the special ones you can apply for free) . Seriously? There are f2p games with more cosmetic options for less time spent.
Sure there are random loot crap unlocks. I’m talking about looks you’d actually want on your character. I know the token thingys arent too hard to grind but they’re still a grind. for a paid model I should be able to change my appearance on a whim.
I don’t know what you’re talking about, at all. There is a huge difference when comparing other MMO’s to Guild Wars 2. That major difference is how much grinding is implemented into the game. Is there grinding in GW2? Of course there is… However, understand that you’re “grinding” for things that are obviously not just going to be handed over too you for free. It’s what gives the satisfaction on grinding it out once you’ve completed it.
Not a hack.. there were quite a few ways to get out of the map but I thought all those methods were patched up.
Yeah, they should be.
