Wow that was a lot of writing, sorry for block of text, but please read it and respond.
Personally, they are going to be way OP. The trait that heals you for around 600 health when you have a condition applied to you, combined with the Legendary Demon Stance, will be absolutely insane amounts of healing. Not to mention the fact that you have 2 heals, which can be used side by side. Combined with the amount of conditions you can apply to yourself, you can heal for around 18k. That is a lot of freaking healing. They apply a near constant 10-11 stacks of torment, which would be horribly unbalanced in sPvP/WvW roaming. That would be insane, constantly taking around 2.5 k for just moving around. I can already see some balance issues. The demon stance buffs your stats by 10%. Not to mention that you have 50% of your energy when you swap stances. I think personally that you should have 25% of your energy after you swap, and lower how fast you regain the energy. Put a cooldown on some of the abilities. You can spam the elite skills, which combined with one of the traits I saw, you can have 5 seconds of burning every 10 seconds, plus mace, for a near constant burning, plus the fact that you debuff enemies, and buff yourself. The class can have a near constant amount of stability, because of the trait that when you dodge you gain stability. That plus vigor, which may be attainable to them with new abilities and other classes, you could gain near constant stability, which would be insane. Also, have hammer auto attack be a 20% chance to be a physical projectile finisher, instead of always one, because that combined with the 4th ability guarantees a lifesteal physical projectile, which heals for about 1k. This combo can, over 4 seconds, the duration of the field, heals for about 5k. Revenants seem like they have WAY too much healing, and they crank out conditions like nobodies business, which will have them seem really hard to beat. On the other hand, some positive things about the revenant. They attack slowly, so these abilities may be harder to stack things. They rely heavily on directional attacks, which is both good and bad. So overall, they will probably be a little too good of a class, but some things hold them back. Thanks for listening to my rant.
I was facing a guardian with a glass cannon thief as a ranger who has a super bursty spec and he out-healed both of our damage by himself and killed us both by himself. We were doing all we could and just could not kill him. Is this just me?
So I was playing my ele in pvp and I could not kill a thing. I was out-healed by guardians, out-damaged by thief , and just couldn’t kill anything else. Am I doing something wrong? I run double dagger and I have a good spec. Any ideas?
I was doing pvp against a Thief and they were almost always stealthed and almost 3 shot me and then stealthed and finished me off when I couldn’t see them so they were pretty much unstoppable. Is this only against rangers or everybody else?
