I’m about to download the Mac clients and try, but am not sure if 32 bit or 64 bit is the way to go, or even if it’s worth trying inside of OS X?

Radeon 455 is almost as powerful as GTX 960M, and your processor is an i7-6820HQ.. its a godlike processor, and this game doesn’t really hard on GPU and rely more on CPU. I think the game will run smoothly on your Mac.

For comparison, my brother’s laptop use GTX 960M and i7-6700HQ and he play GW2 just fine on good setting constantly pulling in 50+ FPS @1080p. Your GPU only weaker by bout 2% and your CPU is much better.

Thanks, I actually just tried logging on this morning and I never passed 30fps on any settings. I’m using the new 64 bit Mac installer.

Update, I noticed the guidelines to this forum recommend posting the names of my armor.

Rabid Emblazoned Shoulders of the Undead (transmuted to Magitech Shoulders)

This piece will not accept any dye that I have tried in the two left dye boxes, and I am unwilling to try to change the two right, because they are midnight ice, and I don’t want to risk loosing that because I don’t have midnight ice unlocked.

Rabid Emblazoned Gloves of the Undead (transmuted to Magitech Gloves)

This piece will not accept any dye I have tried in the bottom left box, and I am unwilling to try to change the two right, because they are midnight ice, and I don’t want to risk loosing that because I don’t have midnight ice unlocked.

Rabid Emblazoned Boots of the Udead (transmuted to Magitech Boots)

This piece will accept dye in the bottom left box, but not the top dye box, or bottom right dye box.

All of these pieces were formally transmuted to other armor previously, and all would not accept dye in some or all dye boxes as well.

The gear I have equipped that I haven’t mentioned does dye properly.

This armor was all purchased from the trading post, and transmuted to magitech purchased from the Gem store.

Finally, as shown in my pictures, my character is a male human.

The last skin on my engineer (my order of whispers skin) dyes without issue on my thief. I wasn’t able to dye this one on my engineer though.

I haven’t tried to put the magitech on any other characters. I am out of transmutation charges, and don’t wish to purchase more until I get a response from Arenanet. (Getting close to four days without a response).

Arenanet, I have put in a ticket requesting my transmutation credits.

I discovered it wasn’t “any” piece of armor. It’s not any piece, and their doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to witch pieces are “dyeable” and which aren’t.

Upon getting magitech’s skin, I see that the shoulder’s, and gloves are bugging, but the chest isn’t. The last set I had on, my shoulder’s, chest, gloves, boots, and legs (not helm) were bugged.

Thanks, I thought that a work around would be getting a new set of skins, but this new set only dyes half of it’s slots now.

If I were to use more transmutation charges to go back and forth, I could change all the colors on this skin, but this is getting ridiculous.

Update
I transmuted my chest piece to another form. I was able to dye that form, transmute it back, and dye the chest piece pictured above. However, this process has taken 2 transmutation charges. I will need to use 6 more charges to finish dyeing the other 3 pieces of gear I want died.

Arenanet, can you please provide compensation for these crystals? This proves this is clearly a bug.

The picture below shows that my chest has the gold color I was going for, but the other pieces of gear (that I didn’t transmute back and forth) don’t have the color.

I really am not following you. I understand that we can’t change the color of every part of a piece of armor, but if there is a selector available on that peice of armor (that receives dye in the dyes window) then that selector should actually change the color of the armor right?

Illconceived, that trick didnt’ work. However, I did discover I could dye the cheap gear. This would make me think it’s only transmuted gear that doesn’t work, but there is a pair of un-transmuted boots I am wearing that doesn’t dye either.

Additionally, to the point about running repair on GW2. I tried to dyefrom my other machine (with a different installation), and it didn’t work their either. I think it is safe to assume the problem doesn’t reside there.

I will try the exact method and see how that goes.

I checked the other post I found, and there isn’t anything helpful on it.

I’m having a problem mentioned before in this post. After applying dye, and exiting the hero screen, my dye is reverted back. This is only happening on transmuted and non transmuted items.

Can anyone help?

How long does the repair take?

The midnight ice dye color came with the armor when the armor was purchased. I will try to use the remove dye trick.

As you can see in my screenshot, the confirm box with the “apply” and “reset” buttons is gone, but my changes are visible on my armor. This is because I have already clicked “apply”, but as you can see it didn’t change my hero’s armor.

I have had this problem with my engineer for a few months now. It only applies to my engineer (I have had no dye issues with any other characters).

After “applying” dye to any piece of armor on my engineer and exiting the hero pane, the dye doesn’t change my actual character. Upon re-entering my hero pane, my hero’s armor is the same as it was (default).

(Yes, I am clicking “Apply” after putting the dye on).

Can this please be fixed? Now that my engineer is 80, I am very hindered in my in-ability to customize his gear.

So, is fresh air still viable?

That’s a shame. I don’t think it would be too OP to have that.

Does lingering attunements from arcana traits keep the 10% damage buff from air traits when you switch from air?

Due to finals this week, I have restricted my access to the game.

I have been looking forward to purchasing the new sizzling armor from the gem store when I return. However, I no longer see the page featuring the armor on the website (it returns a 404 page not found).

I have been browsing the forums for the past few minutes trying to work out what happened to the armor, and I subsequently got lost in 19 pages of arguments to remove/not remove the armor.

I can not access the game. So, I don’t know if it’s still available or not.

Would a kind soul who understands the situation please sum up if the armor will remain available for a gem purchase?

CPU Specs:

CPU L2 Cache: 4MB
CPU Support: 2.4GHz max speed

I have done some research, and I have found some very general instructions on overclocking, but nothing too specific.

In my research I have also found people saying you have to have the proper drivers installed for your game. How would I know if my drivers are set up for GW2?

Assuming you have the hardware to do it. What is the minimum internet speed needed to play WvW at max settings without lag?
