I have to agree, after the first use followed immediate regret. I was hoping for at least something a similar to the sitting animation of the water overload or the magic carpet, but this feels very out of place. It works a little better on Charr (minus staring at the ground), but for my Asura it is terrible.
I think that if I were to remove PPT, I would replace it with Points Per Defense/Assault. Now defended or assaulted objectives yield points when completed successfully.
1. If one server is dominating the other 2, it will promote the dominating server to push to defense (multiple defend events) for points.
2. It makes multiple attack forces a better strategy to earn points, hopefully breaking up blobs.
3. Kills when assaulting give points, but kills when defending grant better points/xp/loot.
I personally think it would be a good change. A successful defend tick would offset a good amount of points gained from an assaulting force. So even if it is a failed defense, it isn’t a complete waste of time.
Likewise assaulting forces would want to try to quickly take objectives and keep them soft to prevent prolonged defensive engagements.
I like spiked armor the way it is, retaliation has saved me more than once. I agree Warriors need a reliable form of flat damage reduction instead of toughness stacking.
IMO I would prefer banner of defense being changed to pulse protection (via trait at least) or perhaps make dolyak signet give a flat damage reduction instead of bonus toughness.
I did some testing and discovered that when changing zones or logging in, but before engaging in combat, my warrior is able to generate and keep Adrenaline using skills.
Once the first combat is over it functions normally until zone is changed or character is re-logged.
Well I remember in WoW (sorry to bring it up) back in Alterac Valley AFKing had reached unheard of numbers due to the ease of rewards. Eventually they added a right-click AFK function and I think the same could work here.
After a certain amount of right-click AFK reports a timer starts counting down and if it runs out before they enter combat they get sent to a different map (home instance?) or have them flagged with a debuff that removes credit and prevents rewards from events for a limited time.
Anet has so far done an incredible job with their content and game design as well as story. I have been playing games for 20+ years and MMOs for the last 10. Out of everything I have seen, done, or thought of to improve other MMO’s GW2 has delivered in almost every aspect. As I approach my second year playing I see they have only improved and refined their design philosophy. I personally think that they are on the right track and not to deviate from it.
I have to agree with nexxe, I think that is the best option. I have very rarely had any whispers from people outside my friends that wasn’t a “thanks”. Due to the way multiple guilds can be joined, as well as most people that whisper tend to be within /say distance most times, I can see no reason why this shouldn’t be allowed as an option.
Just this morning I had 6 different whispered gold spam messages over a 3min period. They’re even using the full website URL in caps without any special lettering or icons.
Again I strongly agree with Nexxe, please consider this as an option since fighting gold spammers will be an unending battle for Anet but limiting their targeted audience may be a good start.
Was that an satisfying ending? **SPOILERS**

I pretty much have to agree with most others here, although I think there are only 2 questions I have.
1.I really want to know if Scarlet was trying to stop the dragon, purposely awaken it, or tricked into thinking she was stopping it but actually awakening it?
2. What exactly does/did scarlet offer the alliances that keeps them from backing out of their deals and fighting to the death for her?
There are plenty of heterosexual romances, I’m not going to dig through for specifics but from the top of my head I know of Charr, Sylvari, Asura, and Human ones throughout the personal storylines. I think there needs to be more male homosexual romance, however following with one immediately after Kasmeer and Marjory would not be a good story design decision.
Overall nice job on Anet for writing a meaningful romance plot without being heavy handed.
I have to agree, I don’t think activities get the attention they deserve. Aside from the aforementioned issues, I think a new reward or ranking system should be implemented for incentive.
I agree it is a very well designed boss fight, the only problem for me is the finite repair hammers. I think it would have been better for a supply run style set up for all the defenses.
I find the third floor actually discourages player cooperation in smaller groups, large groups are fine as you have helping hands ready to rez but in smaller groups the risk is too great to wait. It is almost always better to just run ahead and don’t look back which I think goes against what this area is about.
People group up on the earlier floors because they WANT to be there (with respect to people who are starting late) but the 3rd floor people HAVE to be there to get to the top. Naturally people want to shorten the trip, and while it would make sense to form a group it is lower risk to get to the top by climbing over the corpses and keep going instead of dying and having to repeat the ordeal.
Seems warrior is just what I need then, thank you for the answers.
I am making an alt and I want one that can put the buffs from my friends guardian to good use and perhaps cover some things the guardian can’t when paired together in WvW and PvE. Is their any profession/spec that shines over the others when it comes to that?
Since I am Asura I can farm subject 7 with a radiation field helps a lot to cut down that healing, might try out some runes of rata sum. Full carrion masterwork quality gear/trinkets/staff, sigil of doom, with koi cakes and a 30/10/30/0/0 build maximizing condition damage. Pop an elite elemental, Stack about 3 or 4 eruptions and burning signet, glyph of storms (sandstorm for blind and bleed), swap to fire and power through that last bit of health. You might need to use a scepter/dagger using the same bleed stacking and burning except using fire grab/dragons tooth for the burst.
Yeah lag is literally the only reason I can not beat this fight. I can dodge the stuff no problem, I know the exact spot to stand for the crystals, and I can almost manage to beat the 2nd half. Due to the internet I have and to the zerg roaming around, the last 20-30 tries I do the fight I eventually die from a lag spike because my dodge/skills do not register within the right millisecond rendering the fight somewhat impossible unless the moon and stars align.
Ah well poor devils, at least I know now. Thanks for the info!
It has been awhile since I last visited Rata Sum, but as I was leveling up tailoring I noticed a constant coughing and sneezing going on amidst the usual dialogue I overhear. I can not find the source nor am I sure if this has always existed, it is so constant it almost feels like it is a prelude of a future living story update. Anyone else notice/annoyed by it?
I ran a build like this a while back and it was fun. Pretty much it is all about finding a nice juicy unaware target, use your shouts, and kill shot. The precision signet, arms XI skill, and healing surge should help keep your adrenaline topped off. Mace and warhorn are for retreat reasons, stun and run.
EDIT: Whoops forgot about Frenzy, you can swap that out with on my mark shout if you need the reduced cast time.

Guess I will stick with Orbs then and use the soldier runes on another set. Thanks for the answers.
I just got a full set of exotic berserker’s gear, I would be running with 2 shouts (FGJ and Shake it off) and was wondering if it be optimal for the group to run with the extra damage leaving the condition removal to other classes, or does the extra condition removal make too much of a difference to ignore?
At the moment I have only done story mode dungeons and have no idea what the explore modes have in store or fractals for that matter. While the orbs are cheap the runes are a little bit more of an investment for me and was looking for some outside input on the matter.
