This is a bug caused by a recent update to the 3rd party program(millenium) that GW2 uses to help manage the trading post. The recent patch updated the system for millenium and caused a minor error. You see when a program like this works with a game it uses target lines in order to refer to a certain part of the game and recognize and compute that part of the game. The recent patch updated the system but seems to of failed in altering the target line in order to fix said program. This could be remedied by a quick fix patch.
Well if Grenth was op as heck, and we at sanctum of rall beat him… i guess we are ultra op?
Sanctum of Rall is victorious in beating the new Grenth event.
Now with pictures included
Yup Sanctum of Rall server has now beaten Grenth. He isn’t overpowered he is just at hard challenge.
Hello…. Why is the Recipe: Box of Berserker’s Draconic Armor still broken.
Every other box of armor has been added to the game… and this has yet to be added to the game. This has been reported a long time ago and it still has yet to be fixed.
I really want to know why such a simple bug has still yet to be fixed. and don’t say it’s because your working on something else. cause i know code, and this is at the most 5mins of work…
@ Katostrophe
I have to agree with you whole heartily.
And I feel the real reason why nobody knows anybody outside of their click. Is there’s absolutely no incentive to do so. I mean unless your an extremely social person or are in a small guild I would bet 80% of all guild leaders can’t list off 20 members of their guilds.
Hello all. I’ve come today to ask you a question. One that is extremely important in my opinion. The question is… Is there a point to Guilds… in Guild Wars 2.
Now as one would imagine with the name of Guild Wars 2, that guilds would be a major factor to your game. I find the amount of thing related to Guilds in Guild Wars 2 tremendously lacking.
But to make a valid point I will go over how Guilds actually effect your gameplay in Guild Wars 2. Also to let everyone know. I am part of a very large guild myself, though their views may differ from my own.
Open World(PvE)
Buffs: Being in an established guild, your guild leaders have access to Banners and buffs that can increases exp and karma by 5% and magic find and gathering by 10%.
Pro: This is a nice addition to being in a guild that has these.
Con: Even though your in a guild with these banners it doesn’t guarantee you these buffs. Majority of guilds only let leaders or officers have access to these thus making it impossible for you to even get these buffs.
Note: Though this is a nice thing to have when in a guild… you DON’T need to be in a guild to access these buffs. you are actually more likely to obtain these buffs from banners of another guild. If you get them at all.
Bank Access Anywhere: This is an extremely nice feature…. for one group of people. Yup this buff that takes 6 hrs to create will summon an npc that provides bank access to any local guild members. But in the end it is far more efficient to never builds these and simply quick travel to a city.
And that’s it… Guilds have absolutely nothing else to do with PvE.
SPvP
Emblems: Yes, the default armor and weapons you wear actually have your guild emblems on them.
And that’s it… Guilds have absolutely nothing else to do with SPvP. Which in my opinion is a tremendous let down simply because in Guild Wars 1 there was Guild vs Guild with a ranking system. So in the end, if you want Guilds to be Part of your SPvP then your better off going back to Guild Wars 1.
World vs World
Now this is where A-Net hit the nail head on. And I will tip my hat and say.. Job well done.
But in the end Anet could do SO MUCH MORE with guilds. Heck even adding in the old functions of their previous games would add so much more.
Guild Halls – If Anet took Guild Halls from Guild Wars 1 and put in in Guild Wars 2, it would add alot but… if they wanted to impress everyone they would take it a step further. If they truly wanted to Make Guilds a dominant factor in PvE they could do this…. Guild Towns.
Guild Towns – a VERY common thing thats appearing in alot of MMO’s. What these are… are towns; in an instanced zone(similar to guild halls in GW1) that guilds work together and build from a patch of grass to a booming town filled with merchants and craftsman. Also one very rewarding factor is that all of the things in these guild towns take materials and time to create. not money or influence. If you want to build a building in your town, you better be dedicated to go get the wood for it at least.
But what really makes these guild towns POP out.. is the fact they get attacked and possibly destroyed if ignored.
As i said adding in the old function of Guild Halls of GW1 would add a large amount of Guild presence in PvE. But if Anet took the extra step and added a Guild Town system. I could easily see their game sales triple.
Guild vs Guild in SPvP -
I seriously gotta say that Anet dropped the ball on this one folks. I mean this was a huge factor of GW1 SPvP. And almost everyone loved this part of SPvP. and it doesn’t exist in GW2….. WHY!?
And Anet could go so much further if they added this function. such as a ranking system that allows vanity items. Such as the very best guild of GW2 gets a monument in all the cities. This would Add so much to the game it wouldn’t be funny. With this factor alone I could easily see their game sales triple as well.
I mean there is a tremendous amount of potential that anet has sitting. Guilds are only about 2% of the game itself. And if they took the extra step to make these two things happen if would make their game a dominant force to reckon with that i could see existing for decades.
Hello one and all. I’m here to suggest one dramatic change to World vs World that could very well change the future of World vs World as we know it!!!!
nah not really. But i think this idea would be very well received by the public of Guild Wars 2
My idea is simple: World vs World Loot Bags have been removed from the game, in it’s place is a system that automatically puts loot that would be obtained directly into a player’s inventory.
But hey whats a suggestion without some beneficial fun facts.
1. Did you know that 20-50% of all World vs World loots bags are actually never picked up? This is either due to the fact a player was defeated or that they simply did not see that a loot bag had dropped. With this new system all this missed loot will now be automatically placed into your inventory and not rot away on the ground forever forgotten.
2. People have at times in the middle of battle have almost lost all will to fight simply because they wanted to grab all of their loot bags, regardless of whether they were winning or not. With this new system people will always feel motivated to finish the fight and possibly obtain fancy new loot.
3. Ever do spectacular in a battle in World vs World and be surrounded by loot bags only to be defeated before you could pick them up, forcing you to way-point away and leave all of that loot behind as if mocking you? Well worry not anymore, with this new system you’ll never again have to suffer the shame of way-pointing away from all of those loot bags only to know they’ll rot before you can reach them in time.
But even if this change is implemented there’s sure to be some potential downfall right? after all there’s always a flaw right?
1. People could abuse this and farm easily in World vs World. Answer to this? This would actually still happen even without this possible change.
2. Why not just take the easy route and increase the rot time on Loot bags? This I think would be a large step in the wrong direction. Reason one, is sometimes you die inside of an enemy tower or keep and I doubt they’ll let you in just to pick up your loot. Reason two, it promotes to rush back to where you died to pick up your loot rather than help your fellow teammates on the field of battle.
Over all, I think this is a much needed change and should be implemented in the future. To those that agree with me Why not respond with a simple I agree
To Both Tarnished Coast, and Eredons Terrance…. Probably spelled those wrong lol, but anywho. In SoR borderlands at the north weather node is a massive clump of bots, we’ve convinced most people to try to let you clear out the node but can’t put a guarantee on pugs
Everytime I try to log in to my character the game crashes.
Dear All,
We all know that hacking is indeed a major problem. And be sure to know that Anet are doing their best to remedy the problem. But I must ask that we all please stop blindly accusing each other of doing this act. I do not mind posting evidence or a guild annoucing that i will let one team take the orb back. But any further blind accusations will result in the taking down of this thread..
As to blindly attacking guilds that transfer. Please stop doing this. We all know that some guilds are moving from place to place in order to find a home. Just because they are good in wvw, is absolutely no reason to attack them with such comments. So i will say any more comments made only to attack tranfering guilds will result in the taking down of this thread.
This thread was made so each team could say things like “Good tactic at garrison” or “amazing fight on SoS Border land”. And I hope to keep it this way in the future
Mesmer portal bombs/ambushes are fair game
It’s a tactic that has devastating results.
Also If possible, try to report hackers/glitchers to Anet
Nobody in SOR can get into our borderlands. We fear it has been completely taken over by bots but we can’t be sure.
no SoR is completely over run by noobs who let 10 (yes only 10) SoS invaders run into the garrison, destory the altar, and run out because they were trying to stop CD from breaking into the outer gate, but were asked multiple times by a commander to defend from the keep lord :/
Please keep chat friendly. We all know that at times World vs World can be frustrating and bring out the bad in us
@ Coldviper.
Actually I find the Community of SoR to be quite unified. There are easily three big guild alliances on SoR, each with roughly 7-15 guilds in it. To my knowledge each alliance has a huge voice chat for each, and are open to almost any guild…. As to a commander refusing to join a voice chat of your choice. Perhaps they have their own voice chat thats already up with multiple people in it.
Granted I can’t say that every guild is on the same voice chat and in the same alliance. But to be honest, I’d be seriously impressed if any server on any mmo could do that lol.
It’s to my full belief that their is alot of unification on each server and they do work together. Otherwise one team would have everything on the battlefield.
Mesmer’s are tremendously powerful in wvw. A mesmer who is an expert in portals. can completely flip a battle.
LoL mesmer portal wiping SoR at bay was an awsome tactic
So…SoS…
Since when was most of your servers players in 1 guild [PDX].
Yet another WvW week of migrating guilds, this time SoS drew the golden ticket.
Remember to keep chat friendly
Good Luck and have fun.
Be sure to try to keep chat friendly.
Bump for the end of the night, in hopes of a dev response.
Dear Areana Net,
Hello ANet team. I have a question for you since I’m currently doing a map project. The question being. Are crafting node(ex. Copper Ore) spawn locations now randomized at certain time intervals?
You see I’m a cartographer of sorts. My project is to attempt to make a Crafting Node Spawn Location map of every zone in the game. Although, this project would be quite a silly thing to attempt if the answer to my question is yes.
Again my question is: Are crafting node(ex. Copper Ore) spawn locations randomized at certain time intervals?
If yes, I think the idea is a neat one that will keep farming materials new and refreshing; as well as stop a few gathering bots.
Sincerly,
A curious cartographer.
Project in process to Make Node Maps of every zone in game.
I plan to map at least two zones per day.
Currently Mapped are:
Cursed shore.
Gendarran Fields.
