You do realize by the time you cycle through that entire rotation, your hide in shadows and blinding powder are back up again?
You know that noone in s-tpvp (Dunno wvsw and i don’t care, because this is spvp forum and we give a fk bout wvsw crap) set up utilities just for stealth right? Have you ever played a thief? Wtf does it mean “cycle through that entire rotation”? For example the only stealth skill i have with my S/D-P build it’s shadow refuge…usually D/D have 2 stealth skills on the bar (Considering C&D)…..others have one, and if you read hide in shadows carefully you’ll notice it’s probably the worse healing skill you can use, 30 secs cd for a bad healing and a couple of seconds stealth? No thanks…and please, stop those wvsw-copy paste skills from wiki bs trolling discussions…seriously.
And again WvsW IS NOT spvp…WvsW uses pve skills and gears, so go whine on wvsw forum and leave us alone….we don’t know about thief’s problems in wvsw and WE DON’T CARE at all….here ppl are not meant to simply zerg around ganking low level stuff 30vs10 without brains with uber power pve gear, maybe also considering themselves pro….
WvWvW actually does have a lot of PvP in it besides zergs. Do we play the same game? You must be having WoW flashbacks or something. Stop trying to justify thieves more nerfs are coming in a few weeks so be prepared to return to your 1600 wow arena team.

Far from a comprehensive list, here are some more to add:
Can also trait to add one second to stealth skills, trait to stealth on steal, can steal a stealth ability, can trait to stealth/blind when receiving more than 20% damage, HS through blackpowder (6 init-pistol skill) for free stealth, can use C&D on pets etc for stealth, heartseeker through smokescreen (30 sec cd) for stealth, shadow trap (30 sec CD), trait for stealth under 25% health (60 sec CD).
Oh look even more stealth skills, looks like you were lying you dumbkitten. Stop trying to justify a broken class more nerfs are on the way so be prepared to go back to your 1600 wow team

All of them actually, and if I recall correctly you’re underexaggerating those numbers. You do realize by the time you cycle through that entire rotation, your hide in shadows and blinding powder are back up again?
Now If you were using these stealth skills back to back of course, you would run out of stealth, but any theif with half a skull would space out his cooldowns along w/ dodge allows him to stealth heal to full stealth again stealth again stealth again, all the while your bleeding to death.
Now im not complaining about thieves as a whole, beacuse 9 times out of 10 ill destroy a thief 1v1, its just really annoying how they are able to have that many stealth abilities combined with their mobility makes them an impossible opponent to kill. The other day I fought a thief for a good 5 minutes in wvw (literally) until I just gave up and ran away, its pretty stupid how I can severely outplay him and he just stealths and it starts over again…
I don’t have a problem witht heir damage, hell they can revert the nerf on heartseeker, I wont care…Just please nerf the stealth. I’ts impossible to kill a thief with half a brain if they want to get away.
Their stealth skills are on wayyyy too short of a cooldown.

Very few trait points can be changed, along with utility skills, but you want to stay 0/0/10/30/30 for max support/tank/wtf/op/nerf/healing. Going full 30 in earth isn’t worth it for the traits it gives. I also swap between lightning flash and arcane wave depending on the map, I’m starting to like arcane wave simply because It’s another blast finisher (burst heal/aoe might etc.)

There is no way a thief hit you for 17k in one hit “equally geared” in WvWvW.
The only reason he hit you that hard was because your probably a fresh 80, and he probably has one of the most powerful endgame weapons to hit you for that much.

You shouldn’t really copy someone’s build who hasn’t done alot of spvp >.> Anyway his build has some “cool” traits, but “cool” and “effective” are 2 different ballparks. He’s lacking alot of crit % and power that he could have from investing into air or fire instead of into evasive arcana. IMO evasive arcana is only useful for bunker/support specs, the earth/fire dodge does very low damage, while the aoe blind from air and cleansing wave from water do really well in support/bunker builds.
D/D is very viable in tournament play. For awhile I tried out S/D and it requires so much setup to land dragon’s tooth, and most classes see it coming and either block or teleport once they’re rooted with Sigil of earth, so I just gave up on S/D.
D/D has a great mix of spike damage and sustained when traited with the right utilities, its great for 1v1’s. Here are the traits I use:

I use Divinity because since you’re going into melee, you will need a good balance of stats, and the critical damage is very good. You don’t HAVE to use that one, because there are variations of different D/D builds you can use, but that one has great damage along with some survivability mixed in.
Just a shield that gives a dot, no extra defense
If someone hits you, they get the burning effect inflicted on them.

After the 20th attempt we finally protected him. Just went in 1 at a time getting 2 shot until he was done….rediculous… IMO it should be a dps race to kill the adds, and if your too slow, it spawns even more, and so on and so forth.
I’ts really unbelievable, they aoe us for 12k, aoe ranged atttack for 12k!
Defending magg is rediculous, too many mobs that hit WAYY too hard, and he goes WAYYYYY too slow. gg

What……? You’re getting “stun chained” because you have no “stun breakers”. Most builds in tPvP carry at least 2 stun breakers for survivability. Stability is also a fix
