My regret. In my guild we mainly follow commander’s orders on ts when we’re many.
When we’re few we let the party’s most trusted player (usually a WvW officier) to decide who to target.
We don’t let any player spam random targets if you’re asking this
But I think it depends on how organized is the guild.
About the third question. Yes, anyone can target someone. Just press CTRL + T on any target (also allied ones) while you’re in a party. Press T to re-target the target once you lost or switched it.
Edit.
But maibe you already know this and you wanna talk about tactics?

You should never do pure support, you should always participate in the fight.
I agree, but if this is true, so also the full dps builds shall be forced to get some support abilities.
In fact this does not happens.
I have a dps-thief, wearing Berserker’s gear wich has Zero support skills, and helps party members in no ways. But, he deals tons of damage.
On the other hand I use a supportive Warrior in Cleric’s gear. During the combat I jump among the combat area planting banners, converting conditions and ressing downed players. If I find time to deal damage, I deal a so low amount of that, that I’m barely able to get the kill. I need at least 2-3 hits to get the kill.
The result is: pressing basic attack mindlessly with my Thief I get many bags of loot and Badges
Istead, I get minimal amount of bags and Badges with my Warrior. I made the same job. The DpSes of my party are alive also because of my support.
But the system only rewards my full-dps, not my full-support.
I think anyone should be able to play as he wants. This is one of the main targets of Guild Wars 2 right?
Correct me if I’m in mistake, but as far as I’ve seen, Badges of Honor in WvWvW are awarded to players wich inflict the highest damage.
So, if I’m a – let’s say – thief in Berserker’s gear, and I spin around with my Dagger Storm among a zerg, and many of that zerg die after a short while – steamrolled by MY zerg, I’ll get a big amout of Badges of Honor.
Istead, if I’m a support in Cleric’s gear, and I remain all the fight long removing conditions from my friend spinning-thief, healing my Hunderd-Blades-warrior buddy, or giving boons to my Meteor-Shower-elementalist mate – but dealing minimal or no amount of damage I’ll get minimal or no Badges of Honor.
Don’t you think supporters are underestimated?
Will this Badges rewarding system ever be improved in a supporter-friendly way?

Do you realize why Google had its huge success over many others search engines?
Of course you do, but I’m saying it anyway. Because it’s simple, easy and good looking. Its interface has only the name and the search bar, it has the only informations you need to have.
People love semplicity, and you show to know this when we look at our actual login window, wich is also simple and nice.
The only thing missing in our login screen is that bit of “powerfulness” wich was present in the old login screen. The strenght that characterizes the game, the old login screen represented it greatly.
When Guild Wars 2 was in beta I used to keep open the login screen in background for a few hours even after beta over, and sometimes to open the window and listen to some Jeremy Soule’s incredible soundtrack while watching that nice dragon-2.
That big 2 is strong, is a symbol, is the mark in wich all GW2 players identify in.
Don’t underestimate the power of 2

Historian Vermoth, a man – THE man – with his two guns, standing alone against dozen of undeads, indifferent of the many deadly strikes those filthy creaures are unloading on him.
He is the hero, a light in these dark days.

What about you? Have you also found any epic situation like this one?
..who goes for 82
Seriously, have you ever tryed to play a fast song with one of those bells?
It’s impossible, if you press too fast the keys you simply loose notes. This happens with most of songs. Even some notes from a simple “Jingle Bells” are lost.
Consider making choir bell commands more reactive so we can actually play Jingle Bells or many more modern songs “the way they’re meant to be played”.
