I agree with the ATM representative that SoR has a bigger SEA presence than JQ, I have heard as much from some of the SEA BG folks. Anyhooo,
SoR,
Can you please introduce your new SEA guilds (for example GC), where are they from and how big?
Thanks!
Having fought JQ for months now, I have to say they are remarkable in respect to their oppositions and well as being fierce fighters in the field. They have a big a strong chinese community. However, there are weaknesses in their coverage, that I hope courageous guild(s) can fullfill. I believe that if they have a really strong EU guild, it will make their NA guild more fun (by keeping some of the gains in SEA).
However, do not feel pressured to maintain the gains, as the burden is not on your shoulders, JQ simply wants you to have fun and contribute.
This is your chance to help build up a great server, join JQ.
- BG (I know this seems weird).
I believe SOR is the only server to ever reach NA T1 and never have what it takes to pull out a last minute victory. Even with their overwhelming numbers, they seem to quit when their opponents put in extra hours and provide fights in time zones they are used to PvDoor in. What a shame.
This post is in poor taste and absolutely uncall for. SoR fought hard and really deserves better than some of these posts (including Kathy’s). Please be considerate or don’t post.
JQ just wants their Garrison back! Probably why they are attacking SoR on their borderland. Not sure about the other borderland because they are also mostly green also. They just want a decent foothold first and then defend. Once they get the foothold, they would have paper gates/walls, making it harder to defend.
It’s really a tough situation for JQ for which I do sympathize and understand their frustration, and I will probably only follow commanders who hit SoR just for tonight or just defend (nothing personal to SoR, enjoy my bags).
Provoked is an awesome guild and does more overall than people give them credit for. BG posters who trivialized their contribution should be ashamed. Anyhow, I am going to miss them.
Early congrats to SoR for the win this week. Well played! XOXO.
JQ, you have less numbers now but you still keep fighting. You guys are classy always, even when you guys were the top-dog, the chest-thumping was almost non-existent as an example.
BG. stay positive, there’s always tomorrow!
I got a day-off work and just wanted to see KISS so I logged during EU tz. Woot, I gave some hugs and they gave kisses. Welcome! XOXO.
EU fighters of BG and JQ, I bow to you.
/respect
Normally I play NA, but hey it is Sunday, I wanted to run with HB, so I run. Congrats SoR on reaching 355PPT. The score is indicative of the imbalance that is occurring, and We can kiss our previous balance good bye. There is no yin or yang. I hope EU guilds on EU servers would join BG and JQ to right the imbalance that is occuring and help fight the empire.
In the meantime, JQ and BG, keep fighting….“For Freeedoooom”.

Welcome to all the new guilds, let the arms race begin. it is not surprising, we would like a more distributed servers, however, like in real life, there can only be 2-3 superpowers.
To SoR and JQ,
You guys put up a hellavu fight. You have made this one of the most competitive experience in WvWvW I have encountered. You are the Yin to my Yang. I don’t even know what that phrase really means. Anyhow, if we don’t see you guys next week, best of luck.
/salute
Tonight, I saw FoE (Fist of the Empire) on JQ. I suspect they are joining JQ. It is not surprising as back in BG, FoE/Agg were working together as a wonderful team. I really did enjoy following JERICO in those days. I wish FoE/Agg best of luck in JQ. It looks like JQ will be even more formidable.
As for BT, I am blessed and honored to be able to tag along with you guys on some occasions. BG is very lucky to have a guild like yours (and other “recent” guilds) that strengthens the server. You have brought skills, new ideas and above all, a strong leadership. For that, I thank you!

BG guys who are coming out to post. hey, please be more classy. Just because we are winning doesn’t mean we should disregard civility.

Imagine if BGs NA crew was as effective as their SEA crew.
“Imagine if the other servers had as poor coverage during NA hours as they do during SEA hours!”
Fixed that for you.
BGs NA really do a great job, no need to knock them.
I dont think our oceanic/SEA has a big advantage over JQ/SOR in terms on numbers these days. When you have ND + WM and MERC all playing at the same time, its our coordination that really shines and our ability to use float effectively.
Not to mention we have excellent commanders who really play for ppt
I believe posters are really not knocking BG NA. They are pointing out that our NA PPT is much lower than SEA. That is a reality. Of course our NA BG guilds <3 have their shiny moments (not knocking them at all) but I am sure overall NA BG is not on par to SoR’s NA, and there’s room for improvement in certain aspects of our NA. I believe there are compounding factors that could be resolved to improve, and I am sure there are heated discussions surrounding those which I am not going in that rabbit hole.
We were missing a couple of our melee but it wasn’t excuse worthy. From fighting them, they really aren’t doing anything much different than us… they just did it better. Simply put, we got out played.
Uhm… ? I’m amazed how easy some fights were then if we did exactly the same.
Anyway, thanks for the gvg TW. Had some fun stalking your eles
And people say TW is disrespectful.. RG gotta learn some class!
First of all, thanks TW for the GvG, it was fun and I think I got downed more than in any other GvG thanks to your rifle warrior o/.
Trolling aside, the setups were different, if not in terms of classes then it terms of specs for sure, a lot of focus on rezing from TW that we did not have. We certainly also didn’t have a rifle warrior ^^. Same went for the playstyle, both groups tried to achieve something different with their movement. The US moving in a circle meta while nuking with ranged and trying to lure enemy to go over stacked AoE certainly isn’t something we ever used or that would be regularly used in EU GvG’s.
I think TW would be pleasantly surprised if they transferred to EU at how much higher the competition level is there in GvG’s. They were not pushovers but we certainly had GvG’s in Europe where we lost rounds and more pressure was put on us (as a group, not me) by guilds that are nowhere near their US status/ranking. I am sure they would have a lot of good and close matches there, that is if they wouldn’t have delay due to the server locations. For me personally US servers are borderline unplayable at some hours due to warping lag. Using VPN is a must and even then the connection still suffers.
As a NA player, I was rooting for TW to at least win some rounds. although it didn’t happen, I thought TW fought valiantly (/respect). Be that as it may, the response above speaks bluntly to the reality: EU GvG is more competitive than NA. And that probably will translate to the WvW battlefield.
If RG stays, overtime, NA will get better as we try to adjust and learn from them, unfortunately, I don’t see us providing the level of competitiveness that RG is accustomed to in the immediate future. Especially under the new system, where JQ may be paired with some “Tier 2” servers with even less population, and the doors don’t fight back…much. Anyhow, here’s hoping we can keep you entertained and congrats on the fine match.
PS what is the title of the first song? It’s catchy.
Clearly SoR’s success has nothing to do with transfers, all core guilds,
HiRe, Tysm, Ocx, AFS, TW, IRON, SAHP etc SBI, Desolation, IoJ, SoS
At the moment regardless of how you flip the coin, SoR has Late EU/NA EST advantage which allows them to push in BG weak zone, full cap things then plant 80mans on the walls, not that hard to do. We did that to JQ back on SoS, wasn’t because JQ SEA wasn’t beastly it was because we could prepare zones for FoO logging in and we knew how to defend them.
Why do you always groan about coverage here? You’re either gloating or you’re having a cry. Never the salutes or anything. Just wah wah wah after wah wah wah. You’re so kitten rude. lol. And you weren’t even a good commander in SoS. lol. Leave all the talking to Tarkus plox.
Not sure about SoS, but MagiKarp is a great commander on BG, actually all the commanders in MERC are top-notch, and it’s a great place to learn from them and other leaders. This is purely my opinion, and my point is to not convince anyone whose mind has already been made up. I just want to make sure 3rd party looking in does not have MagiKarp reputation as a leader sullied.
A wise JQ lad in an earlier post said all commanders from all servers deserve a salute for their sacrifice – he’s right on.

It has been a rough night for BG, I suspect in the subsequent nights, the turn out will be lower from the non-Guildie and thus not provide the level of competition that SoR/JQ would come to expect.
Today, going into NA Prime, IRON did a wonderful job of accumulating the structures providing a strong foundation for their NA. I am sure both JQ/BG EU fought brilliantly and commendable for their efforts, but EU is definitely SoR timezone. Not using that as an excuse, because SoR NA in general played well and would have done well regardless and they showed their dominance over the both servers today. Kudos to you guys.
To BG, frustration aside, we will win with humility and lose with grace, that’s the BG style.
Cheers,
BG CitizenPS Hi HL folks. I am that Asura during the GvG.
PPS: TC, I miss you and the dolyak herd. Hope the new system, pair us up again!Sorry mate, even though I would like to take all the credit. Certainly in EB and JQ borders it was Indo and his followers who did all the flipping, nothing to do with IRON.
I should be the one to be sorry mate. I am from the west coast, so maybe EST is like EU to me
. Well played, Indo! See you guys on the field tonight.

Score update for EU zone time 12:00 PST.
This has been a fantastic matchup so far, as you can see JQ can still bring it with the PPT. There is always a healthy dose of competition in NA, Oceanic, and SEA. In particular NNK vs ATM vs MERC/WM (and friends) is epic.
Also had fun in NA time in JQ BL, where the revitalized JQ brings out its forces probably to hunt for RE
, and the T1 capable guilds of DB (you know who you are) brings out the open-field fights. What I particular like about the fight last night in JQ BL, is that there were long stetches where JQ and BG ran two different zergs and the skill lag does not exist and all were able to use all skills available. This is quite a welcoming, at times when 3 servers hit bay, lag occurs but that is rarer now.
Keep up the fight everyone.
To all the non-Forum warriors in JQ and SoR, the silent majority of your great servers, I
have mad respect for you and your game. Last night’s EBBL battle/lagfest in the BG keep was crazy and fun eventho I was on the losing end of the deal.
/salute
Sincerely,

We use existing mechanics like player kills and event completions to award world XP, but it is an entirely new system with new pieces of data associated to it so unfortunately there’s no way to award retroactive progress.
EDIT: I should have mentioned that once this system is live, everyone will have access to both this new system and the existing achievement titles.
We will be keeping all the existing WvW achievement tracks and titles associated with them, along with the progress you have already obtained on those achievements. None of that stuff is going away, so you can still keep working on those original achievement tracks and titles (which are intended to be extremely rare and obtained over years of play).
Sorry I didn’t make that clearer in my original post, we will have a blog post coming out before the patch explaining this new system in greater detail!
I realize that it is not possible to exactly recreate the XP from existing XP, however it seems like the metadata is there so that you can approximate it. For example, the achievements keep track of how many kills, keeps taken/defended, etc. This should give a good approximation of the original XP. Even if you estimate it on the low-end (ie 1 XP per keep taken), it would reward those who had given so much time and effort into WvW already and not a complete reset of XP. So, I would like Anet to reconsider using an low-end XP approximation migration method.
