Is his mailbox full per chance? That will block receiving email. Have him try and delete as many mails as possible and see if it comes through then.
No, sadly that did not work, but I love the help you were willing to offer.
Sadly more than Id get from someone who should actually be offering tech support for their game. cough
I’d appreciate it as well, if someone helped me, so it’s the least i can do. For the moment all i can offer you further is:
https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8994/~/error-codes
After that i’m out of options as well.
I can’t guarantee it will help, but i feel you’re near the point to try anything. So i found this in a post on the TS fora from a tech support from Anet.
“Hey guys, I would like you to try a new command we just introduced to assist players with these types of issues. Generally this assists players who have ports blocked by their ISP or are having connectivity issues. To do this:
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Port Test.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include /clientport 80 at the end.
Note: Please make sure /clientport 80 is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” /clientport 80
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe /clientport 80”
6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Port Test” and try connecting again.”
I hope it works for you.
Being a Sylvari, i thank you ma’am. Mother, being the avatar of the pale tree, is an honorary title. We do love her though. ;-)
No one noticed the Asura gates are actually from Stargate? They’re an almost exact copy.
One thing i noticed is the gpu starting to run in excess of 75 degrees Celsius. I have changed the cooling in the sense that i took gpu cooling off auto and set up a manual profile, incrementally speeding up the fan. Now it runs at max 65 degrees, and i haven’t had a crash yet. It seems i had to learn pci-e based gpu’s are a bit more sensitive than embedded ones.
*edited for typo.

You’re describing exactly what i’m experiencing as well. Same gpu. I as well am at a loss about how to fix this, and i have tried everything except replacing the gpu. I’m starting to think that would be the solution.
I was online during the event, got disconnected and couldn’t get back on untill the event had run it’s course, much, much later. No mail, nothing. I have to say i’m starting to loose faith here. But to me this fits in a very poorly executed event.
What would compel me to play is the sense of making a difference in a realistic way. I don’t want to chase achievements that are only available a limited time. And i don’t want to scratch, bite and claw my way in through a level 80 zone. Realistic opposition, sure, but fight for every square inch of a zone? No. And as a reward all i ask for is acknowledgement, and maybe a reward in the sense of a decent gear or weapon upgrade. Everything else for me takes away from the fun and challenge of exploring Tyria. Don’t force me down a path for completion, but allow me to do it my way and in my own time, and i’ll be playing for a very long time indeed.
