I may be wrong, but to get credit towards the ach, you need to destroy the eggs before they hatch. So, if you don’t down them quick (i.e., before they spawn adds), then it doesn’t count.
One thing I liked was the personalization of the chat when you talk to the NPCs after all the game chats have taken place. For example, I went up to Taimi on my Asura and she said things like, “Oh, I’ve heard of you, you’re the Snaff Prize winner! I’d really like to discuss your research with you sometime.”
If you plan to enter the lair with more than one character, then you will need to collect more cores. 50 cores for each character you’d like to go into the lair. For example, I originally collected cores with my elementalist while leveling that with friends and went into the lair, etc. But, then I realized all that loot would be better served with one of my 80s and breaking it down into higher level crafting mats. So, I went to the lair with my 80 and found I needed to get 50 more cores (fortunately, I already had 29).
Morning is generally a tough time. In the evening is where we really hit our stride. Good luck!
When you get into the TC main, we generally will have at least 20, if not 25 in each lane. On the rare occasions we don’t, we’ll stack players in 1, 2, and 3 with 15 in 4 and 5. Then lane 1 goes to 4 and 2 goes to five after their portal events. We’ve had multiple occurrences of a “perfect” event (5 for 5 severing chains).
I play on TC myself, and anytime I manage to NOT be in an overflow, we take it down. Perhaps you just had a bad run, but TC takes Mary down on a regular basis.
What are you trying these events?
Well, it would seem that if certain boss fights allow you to zoom out farther, then they could easily restrict the amount of zoom in PvP, WvW, and jumping puzzle areas. Why should the rest of the PvE world be punished by this?
I would really, really, really like to be able to zoom my camera out further, and not just one the few boss fights that do it for you automatically. Can we please make this happen?
And the randomness is pretty annoying – you never know which fight you’ll have to take. Make it a bit less random, just so people can compensate with they’re communication – for example commanders should be able to send everyone from their party to different boss.
Except it’s not random. The champs follow a specific order based on how many chains have been severed.
I had a super epic encounter last night where everyone in my champion ring died except for me almost immediately (we were fighting the shrieker). Then, I went on to solo the boss, killing it with 20 seconds to spare, and managed to finish off the power regulator with less than a half-second remaining on the clock. All of this was happening to the cheers in /say chat from the viewers, stunned that a Necromancer of all things soloed the boss and ultimately broke the chain. We went on to win the whole thing because of that success (we had no failures allowed left before bar filled), and it made me swell with pride to think that not only had I achieved something truly great and not only had I benefited about 100 other people, but that a group of them watched it in disbelief and cheered me on. It was nerve-wracking and absolutely unforgettably amazing.
It’s moments like these that I remember forever, and for that, I thank ANet for making such an amazing and awesome fight where I could show off my personal skill and make a difference for everyone.
Not sure if you were a part of the fight I was in on TC or not, but something very similar happened last night in a fight I was in. I was commanding Lane 2 (Nevii Klab) and we had finished our platform and watch a necro do this exact thing on the next one over. It was amazing. Lots of cheers/encouragement from all people/lanes.
I also think a lot of issues (in the entire game, but very much so with this fight) would be somewhat resolved by being able to zoom out the camera much farther than we are currently allowed to.
One way to get around this is to have some groups of “floaters.” For example, after completing Lane 1’s phase 2, those people would go to Lane 3 or 4 and some from Lane 2 would go to Lane 4 or 5. After completing the portal in the new lane, they just go back to their original lane and repeat.
You don’t need as many defenders in the lanes when you’re portal isn’t active. The only thing people will have to be aware of is the length of their debuff from entering a portal.
We got a kill in a TC overflow last night. The portals even went around to Lane 4 entering a 2nd time before we got it down.
When I use this mouse with the Mac Client and try to change the camera angle, it spins the camera in wild directions. Using a Razer Naga with the Mac Client, the camera angle changes normally. When I use the Logitech with World of Warcraft, the mouse functions normally. When I use the Logitech mouse with the Windows Client, the camera angle changes normally. The issue is only when I use the Mac Client. All other functions using this mouse work normally, it is only when changing the camera angles.
I am also not able to interact with the tooth that is underwater in Sparkfly Den. And, I am also stuck at 9/10. I have tried this on both the Mac Beta client as well as the Windows client.
