Some friends of mine can’t get the Story to start they emptied their mailboxes emptied the TP but still no mail.

Yay more of the same!

Yeah I have a friend who had more AP than me but I went Jumping Puzzle and Exploration crazy for about a month and screamed past them. She complains a lot about how people won’t do dungeon’s with her because her AP was under 3000 but I am almost 5000 now and she has done and knows way more about the dungeons than I do.

I would be happier if the dev’s took time to actually explain to the players, IN GAME, how to do things. I always have to check some 3rd party blog etc. or muddle in game for an hour or so to figure things out. So much about the game is, or feels to be, unexplained to the players. Took me 2 months to realize combo’s existed and I never “really” knew how they worked for another month till I stumbled on a Youtube, all because I played a warrior and they have no combo fields unless you use a bow.

So much of the game is outside the game it’s sad. I guess that’s why I’m so helpful in game.

I’ve only been playing the TP as a minigame for a few weeks now. I have to say I love it. It can be tedious and a time sink but it helped keep me in the game as I reached my PvE goals and now that I can afford an actual set of gear and runes, I actually feel like getting into WvW. These are things I think Anet wants. If it wasn’t for the TP the grind of relying on rng would have killed the game for me.

I have to ask if you complain about the TP have you tried to play it? In my experience it is flippers and farmers who drive prices down, there are a lot of videos on Youtube that suggest you should always sell for one copper less and I have seen early markets I thought to exploit completely destroyed of any profit making by this “tactic”.

If anything manipulates prices blame new items that are introduced requiring crafting by Anet. The new Spinal Blades backpack has driven material prices up like crazy.

I don’t mean to sound rude but are you sure it actually sold?

Did you sell it to a buyer or did you list it at your own price?
If the later you have to wait for someone to actually buy it.

Stop trying to break the TP. If you don’t like the price put in a low order and wait. It is pretty amazing how many people will sell for the lowest price possible.

People want money or mats so they put in time to farm. The only inequity I see is people wanting things without any effort.

Champ trains for money? You can make much more money with less effort without leaving Lions Arch.
The gem store works alright, I would just like to see more quality items.

How about resistances on armour/gems/whatever tied to specific conditions? Like a bleeding resistance, fire resistance etc., and the opposite with weaknesses to conditions. This might add unnecessary complication to the game though.

Or making condition builds worthwhile against bosses since as it is now they have no effect. I suppose this has already been discussed.

After 4 months of straight playing I’ve gotten about 3 keys from drops. Two of those from yesterday. I honestly don’t think the chests are worth it. People tell me you can get some really great stuff from them but it seems like the rate is so high it isn’t worth it. I had left over gems a while back and bought 5 keys and essentially got nothing out of them, aside from dragonite, so I’m just going to wait for drops. It really makes me wonder why they disincentive people from buying the keys from the store.

. The other two you get through your dailys. Sounds like you just need to do one more daily.

How can you have no idea what to do? Seems pretty straight forward, unless you have a giant mass of players spamming the area then I could understand why visually you can’t see the shockwave when the wurm slams the ground.

Yes it was awesome, I spent two weeks in that tower. Two weeks I loved and two weeks I hated. It was good to see it explode but I will miss it.

Well if you bother reading the forum there was a problem with the Grenth Helmet skin.
And probably some other small ones. Kudos to Anet for being so fast.

I’m going to disagree. I started playing from this August and I have enjoyed the content so far. At first it felt daunting, and Halloween in particular felt like something I could not participate in at all due to the INSANE difficulty of the bosses in the Mad Kings maze. Then I came to understand if you want to finish the content you really have to focus to get it done and pay attention to the wording. I was done the tower in three days, and now I really regret my relaxed approach to Halloween. Having entered the game with no friends I now have several friends due to this content. Also I am confused about what money you are giving to Anet. Aside from the initial cost you pay nothing.

Sorry but Scarlet is going to steal Christmas, and there is nothing all the Who’s in Whoville can do about it. Or Skritts in Skrittsburg if you prefer. She’ll take our shinies and leave us with nothing.

I’m probably too late for the party but if yoi still need help let me know. I did quite a few towers on my own so I know how hard it can be.
Otherwise if you have made your way into tje tower I wouldn’t mind making one last shot to the top.
