I undestand FGS nerf. To some extent I also understand the reasoning behind Tornado nerf, though I don’t agree that it was required to get rid of that “amazing” 3s damage boost for meteors.

I’m mainly a WvW player and in this game-mode I would now choose to replace any of the elite skills with Ice Bow or some other normal utility skill – that bad is the situation of our current elites going to be after this “balance”.

Nice, enjoyed the vid! I’m using very similar similar build with a bit more zerkerish setup, a lot of fun and great for 1vX encounters.

I’ve been thinking something like the 2nd option for a long time already – who in the GvG scene wouldn’t have? :/

I’m running a very similar gear and build on my engi while roaming. Difference is that I use nades (and XI in explosives) over toolkit and elixir gun over rocket boots. Nades give a nice counter against ranged classes like rangers, which I pretty much never have problems with: block/reflect heavy hits and condispam them with nades.

Condition necros on the other hand are tricky if played well, they can just send my conditions to me and at that point the elixir gun cleanse isn’t enough to help. So the trick is not to do full bomb with everything you have but kinda wear them out and keep your range with grenades… Bad condimancers I can kill and even averages with proberly timed Supply Crate… but if the guys is good you’d better of just run. In general though I like the utility of elixir gun and stun break it brings and would recommend it if you want more cleansing. Another chance is just to switch to -condiduration food if you know your fighting heavy condi player(s).

Looks interesting and quite effective, also did some testing with condi D/D builds myself some time ago and found it really fun to play.

Just one question, how do you fair against heavy condition classes? Of course switching healing signet to Etheral Renewal can help a bit, but with that low vitality and somewhat limited cleanses I could imagine some trouble?

Yes we like open field fights very much, especially on our own guild group. Too bad late last night on Bay half of our already few people were pugs and when you saw us standing there most of the time our commander was explaining them how to use our tactics. Everyone can judge the numbers themselves from videos and pics shown here, I wont comment on that.

Earlier while WBC was there on their full strength I remember us mainly fighting more closer to your tower, way out of cannon range.

Anyways I’ve enjoyed the match up so far, looking forward to following fights.
