evasion skills are ridiculous anyway.
if i’m fighting someone i don’t think has a lot of stunbreaks, then yeah, i’ll try to hit them with a fear combo. but using up all your fears at once generally isn’t that smart. you can really put yourself in a kittenty position. terror can be as defensive as it is offensive. saving your fear for interrupting heals with terror seems to be better than just going all out at the beginning
why. just have it scale with healing power like it kittening should in the first place.
then you could just pick up dagger main hand, slap a valk ammy on your setup and all would be at peace.
It does work, but comparing it to a lot of our other stronger builds, it’s currently not worth using outside of general pve. It doesn’t scale with healing power so currently, there’s only so good you can get with it. The minion health siphons are much better, especially if you use bloodthirst. If you add that with your own siphons and life steal foods, it’s a pretty robust build and would probably even stand up in some dungeons fairy well. I know I made a really fun hybrid build that also utilized siphons, but it easily gets overshadowed by other builds and isn’t viable at all in pvp.
it definitely IS viable in pvp. Some people seem to find the life siphons lackluster, and they can be, but when paired with the right traits and runes, it can be very effective for sustaining yourself. You won’t be out healing damage necessarily, but that isn’t really the point. It’s to negate damage. Bloodthirsty trait and vampiric rituals can be extremely good for holding a point in pvp. Especially when there’s two or more people on it. Popping well of power and corruption or something at the same time on a point can easily turn the tide of a fight while keeping yourself alive.
I really think death shroud 5 should be a some sort of heal. Like a DoT leech.
if they’re going to be adamant on not giving us any means of disengaging from a fight, we should be better at sustaining ourselves. Letting death shroud soak up extra damage can only go so far. Building up enough life force just to get it torn down can be a pain in the kitten. Especially when you’re using scepter, which only has #3 for life force gain. Other classes can misdirect or run away, heal up and get back to it. Necros just have to stay and eat huge damage. I think a DoT life leech would fix a lot.
