New Seraph Stats set is meh?

I was hoping for similar results as a potential condi Druid.

I would of much preferred

Main stats condi/healing power.
Secondary : precision/expertise.

I am sure Seraphs stats will find a niche, but for the investment it just not worth it for 90% of the current meta* stance.

Was finally given the Condi/healer power stat set with LWS4.

Or so i thought.

But why concentration rather than expertise?

Surely a condi main stat would appreciate condi duration….

Oh well.

Guess that restricts any viability* for condi healer.

As I specified, leader boards are not the concern, as anyone who plays 200+ping has more or less accepted the fact that high level competitive game play is moot.

Some of the mini games a quite achievable (even easy) to attain a gold medal and thus the master and achievement* points associated. Some others are just not an option.
So there is a range of dificulty* between the different mini games [Unbalanced?]. which suggests that some tweaking could be viable.

Now i agree there is a glut of mastery points so hitting cap* with the current game is attainable without all the gold medals.

But there will be a player base like myself that would like to complete* such things too.

200+ ping players already make do for a majority of what gw2 has to offer and enjoy it enough to continue playing even with the detrimental latency.

Unless you have played with high ping then i just don’t think you can understand how it effects particular skills and abilities more than others.

Some of the issues could be reworked on the client side, similar to how gliding* was fixed.

this is not just a handful of players either. but an entire region of players.

I acknowledged the concern of content trivialization by nerfing to the lowest denominator, but I think some of these mini games could be looked into somewhat to prevent desk flipping.

More or less repeating statments now so i’ll just leave it at that.

I actually managed a decent score on ‘fungus among us’ with much persistence, free time and latency luck.
But scores/leaderboards are not relevent to my issue. my problem is obtaining the Mastery points tied to gold medal achievments. Some are doable even easy, but others games are infuriating. Being a in the higher eschelon of latency player base many aspects can be an increased challenge to overcome with many just sucking up and dealing with it (quite possibly better at it for overcoming the extra variables). However having Mastery points tied to this content makes it an issue. somewhat. ‘this isnt a competitive pvp request’

I understand that making compromises could trivialise content for the fortunate low ping population.

But i just wanted to voice my opinion for those of us less fortunate, and perhaps intrigue the game testers to give a gold medal on 200+ ping a try*

Dear GW2.

I would just like to voice my frustration at some of the mini game/activity gold medal mastery achievements. Now I realise that this compliant is more for those of us in the Oceanic regions outside of the EU/NA.
Most of the player base beyond consistently have game ping of 200+

Now i would like to know if any game-testers have attempted to get gold medal achievement with this kind of latency. Some are nigh impossible regardless of how much skill you have. Floor is lava, sanctum scramble being 2 of my personally loathed game modes (i have spent hours trying to crack these to the point of just acknowledging it as a write off.) No guides can help overcome the inherent latency.

even just 10 more seconds could potentially alleviate some of the infuriating skill lag some of these challenges possess.

Some wiggle room would be nice but i doubt it will ever eventuate or be recognised.

Australian servers are probably even more unlikely.

oh, well.

Well the art direction is subjective, sure there are some nice touches, personally its a bit to club med retirement home/empty theme park for my taste. Did the karka hunt in 30 min. Couldn’t be bothered with the JP yet but from what has been suggested here there 3hrs potentially…less with mesmer portals and teleport to friend canisters so limited long term content. There’s an ecto gambling currency pit which i doubt i’ll use but hey if players want the ability to gamble other than the Mystic toilet then kudos. My biggest concern However is the sparseness of utilities. If LA is to be a long term community driven hub of activity it needs to be user friendly and I don’t believe it is in its new state. Perhaps this is just an Anet incentive to use up bank and TP express items…very cunning though just an assumption. I might come to appreciate it more but as of now my initial impression is its feeling like gimmicky poo with glitter on it. I am just being realistic if you want to see me grumpy lets move over to the current state of specialisations and balancing. Don’t get me wrong i usually embrace change and there are many things I enjoy from this latest patch, But I think the dust needs to settle awhile before we all become complacent again.

I left within 5 min from experiencing an empty plaza with a stupidly separated bank and trading post and offset Mystic toilet( and i am fairly sure devs know this buy the poorly implemented speed boost npc). I don’t go all gooey for aesthetics if it totally undermines functionality. That alone basically killed new LA for me, I havn’t even bothered looking for crafting or portals without expecting tumble weeds.

Yes i am well aware of the purpose of guesting Jrunyon, but let me explain my recent experience. I was already in the Zone for 4 hours prior to a world event, i waited 30min at the spawn location….huge influx of population and demand made the area unstable….my client crashed just before the event….relogged…overflow…..frustration. Not the first time. If they were true friends they would all be on the same server in the first place. the system as it is now is like inviting some friends over to a party, they bring some friends, then some strangers and then they have the nerve to tell you to leave your own party. Guesting should not make dedicated players on their own server play second fiddle to a bunch of gatecrashers.

I am not surprised that the topic has come up before, it just seems so relevant for the sneakers and shadow dwellers. I’ve settle mainly on duel daggers and shortbow. sword/ pistol whip is tricky to nail and leaves you well open to attack. dagger pistol was ok for the closing in on target and combo fields, but in a group its short bow 99% of the time. P/P i have yet to appreciate, tried it a little though it didn’t sink in might give it another shot (pardon the pun). I’d like to point out that i am a support thief 10/0/30/10/20 with perked up steal/mug/boons and group heals, toughness and conditions….I am not a fan of the squishy. But i just wish i had the long range sometimes in WvW as I barely can shoot the ground from walls and keeps. Also the Shortbow jumpshot seems so useless it barely works anywhere to be of any use…..you know jumping puzzles and vantages, very rarely in combat. So we have limited stealth which is fine but other professions seem to have way more mobility, or is it just me?
Just some gripes and niggles. I’m sure it’s all been said before, but I’ve only had 3 weeks playtime so far.

Let me start by saying I enjoy playing my thief immensely. But I feel our limited arsenal of weapons is a bit lackluster compared to other professions weapon selection and hence weapon skills. I totally understand the selection from a role play perspective, however as much as I love using daggers and short bow (don’t get me started on the ‘Dreamer’ legendary) I kind of wish i had some long range pew pew in certain situations and i personally feel the rifle could fill that void. thief sniping and single target range attacks would be awesome….surely we all agree. and the thought of a legendary rifle on a sniper thief just works in a profession point of view.

So if you are a thief player yourself and nod your head at the thought of rifles, please give a thumbs up to show and maybe with enough interest or a poll it could happen…though unlikely, we can hope right?

I totally agree. Why should i as a dedicated server member be overflowed for content i prepared and waited for on my own server, when the guesting system makes it non viable for me and many others to experience content on our own servers due to client instability from over population of guests. I personally feel guesting is broken though i do acknowledge its need. I feel that guesting should be conducted on its own server away from the dedicated server list. I would appreciate a moderators input on said matter. All it is currently doing is making those who don’t guest feel neglected and second in preference on the servers they play on.
