I’m posting all of my GW2 stuff on this Tumblr: http://guardianbeargaming.tumblr.com/
But here’s my latest drawing (Rytlock in an evening gown, as he talked about in the Ash legion personal story) hehehehe
:D
That’s awesome!
I’ll have to try that soon
I saw Gaile in LA and I asked her who do I have to hug because the new outfits and armor skins don’t clip and even have sensitive tail flaps.
She told me it would be weird. So instead I’m making a thread here
Thank you developers and artist people who make beautiful armor for charr!
We do notice and thank you for your brave efforts in making something pretty that doesn’t clip or looks super bad on charrs!
Kudos! Kudos to everyone!
Hey that’s awesome!
Yes THANK YOU ArenaNet! This game really is amazing!
(I think that we “as the best gaming comunity” should uphold our reputation & show our gratitude more often like this. Thanks for your example Kitty, I plan on showing my gratitude & appreciation more; especially since there are plenty of requests & complaints already.)
(I’m just gonna toss out a random idea I had)
Is it possible to have a pack animal follow your character around, like a miniature, but it can open some more storage slots for you?
And if possible, it would be fun to have various types of pack animals like we do in real life – reindeer, llamas, yaks, dogs, camels, elephants, goats, etc.
(I would put Google image links up, but IDK if they are allowed in this forum. But if you want to see/find any examples you can search “reindeer nomads”, “pack llamas” & “pack goats” (theres 1 pic of a goat with rifles strapped to its sides – looks like an engineer’s pet in my opinion. Hahaha) …(if you can find them there’s also a pic of a reindeer with a satellite dish & plastic jugs on its back, and a black & white pic of a mule with what looks like a bazooka on its back.)) LOL
Thanks for your time.
I can definitely understand traveling airships being a lot of work … especially if they were pilot-able by players. But wow that’s fun to think about!
- after several achievements you can craft/purchase an airship, which only you can fly. & your guildies/party members can board the airship & man the cannons.
… ya, that would be a lot of work. … maybe a very distant, high acheiving option for a secondary type of WvW / PvP – “Airship Battles!”
…back to the original idea, is it possible to make a miniature map that you can enter? Accessible by a “floating moving portal” that looks like an airship?
Once inside the miniature airship map you can explore the ship, role play & play little games (like Tyrian chess) with other players there. … & when you hit “M” you will not see the tiny airship layout but instead your map icon floating accross the big map of tyria. … so if you jump out of the tiny airship instance map, you will fall or glide down into the ground level map the tiny airship map was floating over.
… ya, lots & lots of work.
I was just letting my brain go crazy with the idea.
(lol I’ve been trying for a long time to get my husband to join me on GW2, but its just not his style of game. But if there is a chance that he might be able to actually pilot an aircraft, anywhere he wants in the “sky map”, he might be more apt to trying it.)
lol, can we at least have airship “decorations” to build/put in our guild halls? Like the choppers? So we can have more than 1 airship in the Precipice hall & finally add some to the guilded hall?
haha I’m sure there’s a reason why airships are not decoration options for guild halls. But it would totally be awesome though. (I’m a huge fan of aviation stuffs) 8B

That’s cool Cobrakon!
Hahaha I had to look up what “chromatic instruments” were.
… speaking of keyboards – I’m sure that pianos are not options because they’re too big & don’t “fit in with the gw2 world” like the other travel-sized instruments they discused briefly in the frame-drum tutorial … but maybe the Asura could have a few cultural instraments – use their high-tech ways to place hover devices on the underside of a keyboard-like instrument, etc. lol
…
My excitable brain just tossed up some small yet funny ideas:
1 – smaller/simpler instruments like tiny chimes/symbols, cow bell, triangle, maracas, etc.
(Imagine a large Norn/Charr tinkling their tiny instrument pinched in their massive fingers)
2 – Monty Python Coconuts!
(imagine players running around clip-clopping coconut halves together while in a lopsidded galloping animation.) LOL

I recently watched a recording of the streamed ‘frame drum tutorial’ ArenaNet did, on YouTube. I got super excited and then my excitement doubled when I thought I heard the adio people say that they may be working on more instruments.
From elementary school to Highschool I played the violin (I’m very rusty now though) and would love to see a ‘bow and stringed’ instrument pop up in the game some time. (Violin, Fiddle, Viola, etc)
The problem though is that ‘string and bow’ instraments can have a very wide range of sounds and changes used in their performance and that might prove to be a nightmare, not only to program into a game but also for the players to play. So I will definitely understand if a ‘string and bow’ instrument never shows up in the gem store.
But
Since my excitable mind was on the subject, it came up with a few rudimentary ideas of how it might work.
(I’m no programmer, so I probably don’t know what I’m talking about lol)
The basic notes and octaves can be played or used via the normal skill keys 1-0 like the flute.
But the performance changes like vibrato, staccato, “smooth bow”, plucking and rest can be accesed through the F1 – F4 keys.
?
The F1-F4 keys can be hit to activate the select style which is applied to all of the notes played then after. And then hit again to turn the select style off.
F1 : Vibrato (gives a nice warble sound to the notes)
F2 : Smooth/Staccato (“smooth bow” will be the beginning default and when F2 is hit it will switch to the staccato style untill F2 is hit again) (“smooth bow” (I forgot the technical term) would be where the notes kinda fade into eachother to give a calm flowing sound while staccato is very sharp & quick bow strokes.)
F3 : Plucking (where the strings are plucked like a lute/guitar instread of stroked by the bow)
F4 : Rest (to silence the instrument until the note keys are hit again).
…so ya, that was my excitable (might not work) idea that I wanted to share with you awesome people.
Thank you for your time. I really appreciate this opportunity you have given us to share ideas here.
Have a great day!
