I’m a huge fan of Jeremy Soule but I would also like to see more support to customized soundtrack due to the awesomeness of having morrowind, skyrim, oblivion and guild wars 2 music all in one randomized playlist
I love GW2, spent 1000+ hours and don’t regret anything!
GW2 is easily the best MMO out there imho. I have played so many other MMOs such as LotrO, Rift and Lineage 2. GW2 is just way more awesome than all of those.
GW2 got this charm that no other MMO manages to have. To name a few, here are reasons why I find GW2 much better than other MMOs:
1. Anet is INCREDIBLY generous and also very ambitious, which is of course a good thing. In LotrO for instance I get commercials shoved up my face and HAVE to pay to actually do quests in vital areas of the game.
2. The feel that your character is unique. That you aren’t another one that accepts the “kill 5 mudcrabs lewl for no reason”. The freedom in leveling wherever you want is so unrestricted! I love that!
3. The feel of adventure rather than “let’s stop and do that quest because we must, not that we want to”. I can do whatever I want when I feel for it. It reminds me of Morrowind and all other wonderful TES games in the adventuring gameplay.
4. Non-competitive PvE. Why the kitten should you be discouraged to play with other players in an MMO, its a social game for kittens sake! I’m very glad GW2 isn’t another ninjaloot, mob-tagging, etc. game.
5. The lore, I love the mix of science fiction and fantasy. Reminds me of the older installments of Final Fantasy where it got mixed a lot. While I sort of dislike Scarlet I do like the Aetherblades.
6. COZY environments, colors and themes. When I play a game I want to feel happy and comfortable.
7. Fantastic animations on characters, mobs, bosses etc.
Long live Guild Wars 2!
I would just like to say that this ROCKS and that the new fight is amazing. Thanks Arenanet for this delicate release!
Tl:DR I think that giving all events some sort of reward in the same manner of champion rewards would massively increase the interest and fun of doing all events players find rather than ignoring them.
Events generally give a small amount of XP and a tiny amount of karma as you may know. It feels painful to level alts by doing events you’ve already done and it feels empty and unrewarding to do non-champion events in level 80. Sure the story of events could drive you into doing them but why not put some sort of item reward at the end of events? How could that be unwelcome?
From what I’ve seen and experienced during my so far 800 hours in gw2 many people (not me though) don’t give a kitten about many events (non-champion events). It saddens me that many events are left behind, waiting for someone to do them. And I think the cause of that is solely due to the lack of reward. I believe so because many people spend their time farming champion events over and over (Queensdale much?) rather than doing the other events.
Providing a reward bag or something at the end of each event that would give stuff comparable to champion rewards (not too big, yet not too small) would be awesome IMO, and I think that many people would agree.
Not only would that give a great lasting appeal to all events, I think it would also put a great interest in doing events you’ve already done. It could redirect the interest of farming champion events to doing all events over all zones instead, which would certainly be a better thing for the sake of variety and player happiness.
Now I know that the most important thing is to have fun. Gaining loot-like rewards for doing all these great events created by Arenanet would minimize the boring material/treasure grind as you follow plots rather than another mob to kill. This is why I think this system would contribute to player happiness.
That’s all.

I’m not sure why everyone dislike it so much. I use the heavy one on my human guardian, I love it and I feel like some kind of awesome pulsefire-Ezreal (League of Legends) like character when I use it
Kudos to Arenanet for this skin!
I feel extremely bad for having hated the living world system but…
these news are awesome, living story is good and I LOVE YOU ARENANET GO GUILD WARS 2!!!
