So basically the idea is that once someone attains a legendary; they also unlock a skin version of it or something so that alt characters could run around and show off what they’ve achieved thus far. Say a warrior gets Twilight and then makes a ranger. He’d be able to also have Twilight’s look for whatever greatsword their ranger may use.
This Idea keeps that the player must first ATTAIN the legendary before being able to skin whatever else into looking like the legendary. Since its already like an account achievement to have a legendary; would seem understandable to make them account bound themselves; or at least a skin version or something.
The exchange is to remove them from being able to be on the Trading Post as that will present well… it’d make them cost way more than they do now. Since being able to buy an Account bound item would be a silly prospect.
Leave your thoughts and comments on this idea; I think it’d be a cool idea to have skin versions of the cool weapons one unlocks after hardwork.
P.S. Dontain is the original thinker of the idea; just figured I’d toss it up here. and all that fun stuff.
Perfect idea!
Warning, Spoilers!
I was extremely disappointed after the story mission ‘The Source of Orr’ in which the last King of Orr awards you the title ‘Champion of Orr’ that you are unable to wear it.
So my suggestion is just that, That on completing the mission you get the title ‘Champion of Orr’ to wear.
There are probably only about 3-6 dwarfes left on Tyria, And only one known dwarf.
The one in claypool still wears that armour, When I say in the beta they wore the T3 armour I mean the default Seraph. Also you said some of the guards still wear it which is basically bugger all, Well I want it changed because Anet changing their armour has changed the entire feel of the Seraph.
And personally I do not remember seeing any basic scale armour in seraph in the betas although I may be wrong.
T3 is not worn especially by the top officers or whatever, It was only the default Seraph that changed people like Seraph Watchman or Seraph retaining other names to the default did not have their armour changed. This shows this armour change was a rash decision taken at the last stages of development of the game.
This current post also show a complete lack of understanding of the thread when your say “when infact more Seraph wear the scale armor which would make them seem more like the seraph armor” . In the beta of the game, All of the seraph wore T3 cultural and they looked amazing, bad kitten and tough.
And the Seraph isn’t some standard army, The best armour in all the human lands is reserved for them (Which isn’t scale armour). They are very fancy indeed!
But anyway the main reason I want this changed back is because I still have memories of the betas of how amazing the Seraph looked, To me now they just look weak and boring.

The screenshot shows a basic Seraph grunt. The higher ranking officers have fancier stuff. It makes no sense for the basic grunts to wear T3 armour, it is fine. With their winged shields they have a unique look anyway.
It makes sense because that’s the look they had originally and It is distinctly SERAPH armour, Not just some scale armour which not only looks bad but is just really basic and boring.
My point is that the Seraph is fancier stuff and they deserve that armour no matter if it is tier 3 or not.
they both looks ugly for the price you’re paying.
Exactly therefore the beta armour was better because they cost so much more
No.
If I am going to wear a t3 armor, I better look like I have prestige. I am not going to wear the best looking armor to look like a foot soldier.
I understand your point but the current armour just doesn’t look seraph-y at all, Just makes it look like any old foot soldier.
But if all the seraph was to wear that armor then it would look seraphy as it would be their armor. As for the other person talking about the set not matching Anet do this with most npcs. Alot of the “higher ranked” seraph guards often wear a mix between T2 and T3 armor and the right side scale armor (normally just the T3 chest with other gear)
I have T3 on my warrior and i quite like looking like the other high ranked seraph guards, it’s what made it look more attracting to me, infact for a while i used full seraph gear (T3 and seraph weapons). However, i don’t want to go to queensdale and see EVERY single seraph guard even if it’s a 50 year old retired seraph whos just walking around. It makes the armor feel more rewarding like “only the best of the best warriors get to wear this armor”. If every seraph use T3 then it just looks like the standard human armor.
change the right armor if anything but don’t make them all wear T3. But i don’t know what lvl you are, which areas you have visted but the seraph all seem to wear different armor. Some wear the full scale armor, some wear that right side. Some wear T3 full set some wear a mix between scale and T3. Some wear T2 and some mix T2 with T3 and other armor sets. So maybe that one in the screenshot is just one of the ugly looking ones.
The issue I have is that the cultural armour still seems to me like the Seraph armour, and it fits the Seraph more lorewise aswell. Like you said earlier some Seraph still have this armour, but this is because Anet didn’t get to change all of the Seraphs armours in the game in time due to the game’s release. It’s not the high-ranking seraph most of the time but differently named characters, It’s the characters with separate models to the default seraph.
No.

I don’t like how different the armours are from each other though(the high ranked and the normal), and also like I said the current armour has no character to it, in the betas when I looked upon the original armour I saw “Seraph Armour”. Now when I look upon it I just see scale armour, It doesn’t fit the elegance and finesse of the seraph.
If you played in the early betas you will know that Anet changed the seraph armour from the tier 3 cultural armour to the pathetic scale armour.
I know it is to make the cultural armour more unique and special but the current armour of the seraph looks more basic and a tad ugly, and the cultural armour clearly fits the Seraph better.
*Edit to get another point
Out of all the Police/Army of all the races the Seraph look the least cool/threatening but the Seraph look kitten with this armour on.

Really curious on why there is no Risen Karkas or any evidence that Risen placed foot on there. They were in the way between Claw Island and Orr.
From a ‘out of lore perspective’, They’ve only just added karka.
They are commanded by Morgus but I think they are still heavily influenced by the Krytans.
The French have conquered on Two servers I have been on not including this one xD
Was a lore event, It happened before GW1 started.
Way more Sucessful :P
Ascalonian is there :P
Cantha took on a racist Emperor who after they killed all the other races i.e. (Tengu etc.) and Became Isolationist :P
Ghosts may have kicked them out.
The Majority of GW2 players are playing Human :P
I feel the same :/
The Tarnished Coast is still tropical, But What Anet is trying to do is “Ascalonian-ify” Kryta, they are essentially making Kryta into pre-searing Ascalon.
I agree with this, When I first read of Divinity’s Reach in the Novel I imagined a vibrant city full of people from all around Tyria (That is the World “Tyria” not the continent). When I joined the Game I realised that this was not the case, It is very Ascalonian with little people from other nations.
