Hi. I’m returning player. And I want to make a new character and level with my friend.
My friend will choose Engineer probably.
I played Elementalist up to L80 before the HoT.
I often had so much ping as unplayable…so i don’t want to play super busy squishy class anymore. And therefore, I haven’t buy HoT expansion yet. (hope they fixed a little.)
Also I liked Necromancer but I think he was worthles in party play sadly.

Any good duo combo with Engineer on PvE and WvW?
or any recommend profession?

LOL Don’t you think it is really weird tons of players have this problem but still they say ISP’s fault.
No way…I don’t know how this game’s connection around server works, maybe some of us has problem because of mega server. Although we can connect to other games without any problem.
Making expansion is great but despite of your purchase if you can’t play it ..that would be really stupid. And it is like you laugh at customers.
Hope you will seriously deal with, and fix this. Or explain more understandable reason. We bought this game.

Guardian’s light field..I meant hammer 5 if i remember correctly though >.<
I didn’t know Guardian has to dodge a lot with one of the spec! It felt easier than my ele on the open world when I tried.
And yes, I tried Mesmer as most of Elementalists did. Fantastic class though :p I might give it a shot again.

I am trying engineer….still doesn’t have the trait that Khisanth told me yet but this is blast for me! :o
Tons of skills, ranged, flashy beautiful flamethrower xD
Also wearing medium armor feels less dodge. Depends on the trait but still….I don’t have to dodge like every second.
If any player who has Elementalist and love its fire magic and variety of skills having trouble deciding other class…I would recommend Engineer to try.

I have been suffering ping issue from last year. It happnes in my prime time to mid night..sometimes only prime time. Huge lags (700-1600). My usual ping is 200-300..still playable if it keeps that way.
I bought this game and it makes me unplayable :/ No fix or any solve for getting better for this?
I live in GMT+9 area and on EU server. It is surely not my ISP problem because I can play other games even on EU servers without a problem.

It seems guardian has more tough and less dodge than ele because of its the light field which mobs can’t pass through. Although worrior seems the toughest and deals high number dmg…
But engineer seemed less dodge than ele too. How struggling.
I don’ t know….I will give it a shot for engineer first. Hoping to get pass the silverwaste or somewhat these level 80 areas.

HI, I’m returning player who has lvl 80 ele. Although I dont have idea how to play her good atm.
Since I got her max level, I am looking for next class to be maxed/enjoy.
I tried almost every class up to 15 or 20 but no other classes fit me at all :/
I love elementalist’s various flashy magic.
I dont like much melee class like necro….I like the class concept though.

So point is, I’m interested in engineer and guardian. None of them got me more motivate to play at the low level.
How are they in high levels on PvE, and WvW?
Are they more tougher than ele?
Just to mention, I couldn’t pass through alone the around level 80 area with my ele. I am that bad skilled player xD
And I will be mostly solo cuz my friends won’t play anymore.
