In WvW i generally play near terrain where i know i can sword leap to it to break combat and reset the fight if needed. Basically, map out where you are and use it to your advantage.
I tend to use this where applicable for instance when not fighting on a point for whatever reason
Im currently leveling up my warrior with some friends and intend to do WvW (solo/small group roaming) once im 80 and I’ve been doing a lot of sPvP to prepare. in a 1v1 i generally do ok, although i do have a hard time against necro’s and engineers. in a 1v2 however, more often than not the best i can do is “survive” and wait for backup to even the odds. While it may be a bit easier in WvW due to not having to worry about standing on the capture point to cap/defend, i’d still appreciate some general tips to help stay alive longer or even win.
Here is the current build im running. Please note that i do not like the playstyle of 2h weapons such as hammers or greatswords, so im a bit reluctant to switch to those.

i really like the idea of the off hand burst skills, but more than that i feel would be too much. also assassin x’s suggestion for vengeance seems really nice and i’d be okay with that, but might need to tone down the numbers a bit. would be pretty UP in a 1v1 though
I use this build when roaming in WvW – still effective today. The key to the build is knowing it inside and out – both its weaknesses and strengths, and being a fairly competent player, knowing when to retreat, pull back and regroup, and when to go kitten deep, so to speak.

that crit is pretty crazy, lol.
Im not sure why the traits were off, but in the discipline tree it was supposed to be warriors sprint and signet mastery. this is the fixed one:

The general idea behind this build is to be fairly durable while still being a threat. Since i plan to run either solo or in a small group i felt like the Lyssa runes would be fine as an additional condition removal (that and i needed to bring my crit chance up).
Without food buffs or signet of rage active, i would sit around 44% crit chance.
I chose sword (and bull charge) for the added mobility over mace
I didnt like the feel of the greatsword or hammer while leveling up, but i might give them a try. thanks for the feedback though

I’ve been leveling a warrior for WvW and maybe a bit of dungeons, and would like some feedback on how well this build will hold up in a small group setting or solo for WvW. The general idea behind this build is to be fairly durable while still being a damage threat.
Edit: link had wrong traits.
