Thanks you, yoshi! It’s the biggest digital piece I’ve ever done, so everyone got even more love and detail than usual. :’D
Hi all,
It’s been a while since I posted here, but I wanted to share this piece with you.
Moonlit from The Forest Guard commissioned me to do a piece of their guild. I’d love to hear what you think of it. :) Please full view to see all the details!
Hope everyone had happy holidays and a great new year!
Congrats to the winners!
Are we going to be able to see the winning entries? I for one would love to ogle them. :D
VERY disappointed this was removed from the vendor. I was really looking forward having my first legendary done by the end of the month.
Yes, please change the chest plate!
And thanks for asking the community, even if it is after release. :)
Marking my calendar with the new end date! :)
Looking fierce with that mask and pose! I really like the details on the shortbow. :)
Last piece for Lokar. This time it’s of their friend. :)
Hehe, exactly what I was thinking while coloring this. :D
Stunning! Your attention to detail is astounding. :)
Another piece for Lokar. Drawing lightning is always fun! :D
Guess I’m not getting my daily today thanks to this bug. Oh well, it’s only 2 gold.
Thanks guys, you are too sweet!
Fluffkins, can’t wait to hear more about Lokar and his fondness for badkitten elemental weapons. :D
Thereon, I suggest posting your contest to Reddit or Tumblr if you want more exposure. You could also add a link to this thread in your signature for others to see when you post on the forums. :)
In the meantime, I may have to make some time for this contest. Those prizes are very alluring. ;D
Thank you, Gaile!
Also, here’s a little commission I did for GscGunner of their norn (warrior? guardian?) Lokar!
Thanks for asking! I do, though it is on a case-by-case basis. I may open up slots in the future though. :)
I just saw this on dA! The coloring looks pretty nice. :)
How much do you think you would charge for something like this (gold and/or cash)?
Also, do think you could do all races, or would you stick to humanoids (humans, norn and sylvari)?
This one is a personal piece of my chronomancer, Orgaetorix. He does taxes for a living. :B
I agree, this is a very nice piece! Loving the texture you were able to get on her hair (head fronds??).
Someone doesn’t like quaggans as much as the rest of the community, hehe. Really like how smooth your lines are!
Thank you Benjamin! I look forward to seeing more of your stunning landscapes in the future as well. :)
A gift I did for one of my new friends in game. It’s been getting a lot of attention elsewhere, so I thought I’d post it here too!
I can contribute some art. There’s a link to my deviantART in my sig, the commissions and fan art folders would be the best places to check. :)
Forgot to post this yesterday. I can’t wait until next year and neither can my ele!
+1
This is how I got around in cities.
Nice work! I really like your colored pencil drawings and the name of your Facebook, lol.
Beautiful job! Your perseverance is admirable. :)
Congrats on 5th place in the emblem contest! :)
Thank you for posting this, Invertation! I‘ve been meaning to make a similar thread for almost two years now, but I’m glad you beat me to it. You did a fantastic job. :)
If I may, I’d like to share the single best compilation of reference pictures I’ve received to use as a standard. The character and images therein belong to KeresLee here on the forums.
A few things I would add:
-Use GNU Image Manipulation Program, Paint.net, or another program that gives you access to layers to splice screenshots together. It takes the headache out of trying to put 10+ images together in MSPaint. If you use Imgur.com to upload multiple screenshots, don’t forget to make them into an album for easier viewing.
-If you have a hairstyle or makeover kit, you can use it to take high-quality, close-up headshots of your character. Don’t forget that you get a free hairstyle kit for completing part of the Season 2 Living Story as well!
Thank you again Invertation, for taking the time out to make this wonderful guide.
I hope that everyone interested in commissioning an artist on the forums reads this first!
Pretty sure that’s what the Pit Fighter armor was inspired by. Just add Honor of Humanity and Shield of the Wing and you’re all set. :)
Finished Poikapureda’s picture of their guild, The Kittens of War!
I am now officially on hiatus, but I plan to still do art stuff on here in the future. :)
Do you have a preferred image size/dpi/file type?
Sounds like you need the endless version. :)
Astounding! Did you have a favorite part of the design/application process?
Finished a “character sheet” for one of my favorite asura, Iona’s Tirri!

These are what those commissions looked like (newest first). I was trying to be affordable at the time so my slots would be filled. If/when I reopen commissions, these prices will probably be doubled and some options will be removed, since the value of gold has gone down a bit since then and I’m much busier now, lol.
Also, if you post some examples of your work, it might also help people price you more easily. :)
Finished GrimmR’s piece of their warrior and thief, Famè and Sílence!
You’ve got a really nice woodcut -like texture going on here, I’d love to see other pieces from you in this style. :)
This post includes a pretty good summary of copyright law in relation to fan works, as well as link to the actual copyright law for the US. Hopefully it will help you formulate an appropriate image for your shirts (or at least come up with a good parody, haha).
The link above is sourced from this Reddit thread, which discusses the legality of selling commissions for RL money and in-game gold.
Finished KeresLee’s piece of her staff elementalist, Snugs!
Awesome job! I really like detail of the peeling bark on the hair-branches and the (ink? paint?) you added at the end was a nice touch.
I also want to say that your website is the most useful GW2 resource I know of besides the GW2W.
Keep up the good work! :D
Yesss, Cynz is painting more asura!
Very pretty, loving the orange and blue together. :)
Cute art! I don’t think Anet will bite your head off for mentioning another game, lol.
Your pricing seems pretty fair, but you’ll only really know if/when you get customers. Posting a GW2-related painting might also help if you’re having trouble here.
Also, are there any races/genders you’re not open to doing? If so, definitely mention it in your first post.
And of course, good luck! :)
Nice! I really like your interpretation of Deathshroud.
Check out the armor/weapon galleries here. Preview codes are included for each item. To see if it’s affordable, highlight and Google it (adding ‘gw2’ as necessary) and the gw2 wiki page will tell you the price on the TP/in karma/etc. :)
There was a reddit thread about this a bit ago. Even though it’s “against the ToS”, Anet doesn’t seem to have a problem featuring IRL money commissions on their blog.
Edit: Here is the Reddit thread. Cash for player-created characters is okay, but not for characters like Ellen, Evon, Destinty’s Edge, etc.

Just in time, Lindonrow’s Valentine’s Day piece!
I was able to sneak some hearts in. :D
Even better than your last painting. Love it!
