They’re all the same speed, but being smaller gives the illusion that you’re faster. so in a way it gives you a slight edge through the illusion.

for the shout build make sure to use Rune of the Soldier. with 6 you remove a condition with every shout, making the shout/heal build x100 more effective

I recently just hit level 80 on my warrior (woot) and I’ve upgraded my gear to decent 80 stuff. I leveled all the way up to 80 with a pure glass cannon build, but I found that at 80 being squishy gets you killed quite fast. So now I have all my glass cannon armor and I’ve switched all my specs to a defensive healing shout build.

My question here is when I buy my exotic gear (which is expensive), how can I balance out between the gear I need for WvW and PvE (dungeons). Do people normally just have 2 sets of exotic gear? or do I just pick an in between balanced build that works ok in both?

It’s all part of the game IMO. If their team can do it, so can yours. I imagine it’s quite fun for all mesmers, it’s what makes them so unique. If you are sick of getting hit by a golem sneak then organize your own group and use the same tactic. Don’t complain, adapt and become better at the game.

Just another angle. Pretty great glitch imo, had fun sitting there shooting people.

I just hopped on the ledge and started shooting people, then after I stopped my character just leaned in forward like that and just stood there. I stopped moving and when I shot the gun I would stand upright. Then after I stopped shooting he’d go back down hahaha it was quite funny.

I guess this counts as a bug, but it’s more of a “what the??” moment

I’ve had the same issue, my guild held a WvW raid and while they were all in I was sitting in que for TWO HOURS!!! completely ridiculous.. This has happened twice already with 2 hours sitting in que. It’s completely ruining my experience, it’s such a bad feeling sitting out while your team is battling out there

I forgot to mention I switched the f1-f4 to shift Q, shift E, shift R, and shift F. also a good note

I know when I first started out it was quite hard to hit all the keys 6+ so I changed up my keybindings and now it’s all easy. Here’s what I did, I simply put the Shift button into action. At first I tried sliding over all the movement keys to the right but it was just too weird.

what I use now

1 = extra mouse button (for normal attacks)
2 = 1
3 = 2
4 = 3
5 = 4
6 = second extra mouse button (for quick heals)
7 = shift + 1
8 = shift + 2
9 = shift + 3
10 = shift + 4

As you can see for me the farthest I have to reach on the keyboard is number 4. This just made doing all my skills SOO much easier. Thought I’d share with others. (obviously if you don’t have extra mouse keys then you’d just set the shift keys from 1-5)

in my experience the only melee that works in WvW would be control/tank/support. basically stunning/disrupting those stragglers that don’t back off in time for your team to nuke. usually with shield bash.

I’m not sure that’s the problem. Normally I can run the game on maximum settings but even if I go into WvW with minimum settings I’ll still lag. Anet just needs better servers. (I believe that’s what it is)

I think it would be a good idea to implement some sort of /afk option so that if a person does /afk anyone who sends him a message would be notified said person is away from keyboard.

This is nothing big, just convenient for players.

nahh I’m not gonna transfer, I’d rather stay in my not super pro world (fort aspenwood) and help win xD it’s more rewarding

also depends on whether you are doing pvp or pve. I did sPvP and built a healing tank, it’s the funniest thing fighting 1v3 and just not dying! ;D

Looking for a good guild with active players and ventrilo or teamspeak. Later into the game I plan on doing a lot of pvp and dungeons (for now leveling).

I’m looking for a guild that will party up and use good communication (I have a mic) to maximize gameplay and hopefully come out on top! As of the moment I’m in Fort Aspenwood (NA server) but I am willing to change if absolutely necessary.

I’m still learning though, so a good supportive guild willing to teach is also a score

Hey at least you can get into WvW. Queue has never once popped for me.

yeah it does take a while. first day i got in right away, now i have to wait minimum 30 minutes and sometimes up to an hour
