Veteran. Waiting for the 3 year title.
The only event that I ever notice my framerate drop in is the Svanir Shaman boss.
You should just call your character ‘edgemaster’ because wow son, you edgy.
Many mmos dies, but not this one and it has almost no endgame content, i dont get it
it’s because MMO player base is aging. We don’t have the time to do excessive raids and endless gear progression. That’s why both horizontal (cosmetic) progression MMOs and sandbox MMOs are picknig up.
Except GW2 isn’t a sandbox MMO. But you’re not completely wrong though.
I think there are 3 types of people drawn to GW2:
1. The casual players who just want to have fun with their friends by doing a casual dungeon runs or other casual activities (which this game has a decent amount of) without having to worry about BiS gear or learning strategies for difficult encounters.
2. The special snowflakes who get their satisfaction out of looking prettier or more unique than others rather than being better or more skilled than others.
3. The competitive players who like GW2’s PvP or GW2’s unique game-mode called World versus World.
I personally fall under category 3.
kitten , you’re a pretty tough guy.
I prefer to play dress up and pretend I’m the prettiest princess <3
It’s really a small amount of money, or you can farm a couple of days and buy them with gems.
This. I gladly paid the paltry sum required to play season 2.
Removing zerker from the game would be nice. Zerker, killing pve build diversity since 2012.
Anet needs to completely overhaul the pet AI.
Look at how hunter pets are controlled in WoW versus how they sorta do whatever they want in GW2.
Keeping one’s feelings and thoughts to one’s self is a very healthy and wise thing to do in many, many a situation.
Too bad that being outraged on the internet isn’t one of them. :/
That’s my secret, Cap.
I’m always offended.
Attachments:
Today I saw an engineer shoot at another player with a pistol. I am highly offended and my butt is hurt.
I think you are being insensitive. Obviously Anet had this planned for months and didn’t mean anything by it, but clearly you don’t understand that people have lost their friends and families in plane crashes (recently) and seeing this in game “joke” might take offence.
A plane crashed on the other side of the globe. Sorry, it doesn’t effect me in the least… and a character running around like a plane in a video game is completely unrelated. People need to put on their bigboy panties and sack up.
Insensitive
“showing or feeling no concern for others’ feelings.”I have no more to say.
Are you sensitive to the plight of the people in Africa? or the people in the middle east ? or the people in Asia ? Am sure there are many ingame references to the tragedies happening there too!
The point is, there are no in game jokes about this kind of thing. I am not standing up for anything, I just think it is wrong to insult those that have just gone through a tragedy and might not be in a correct state of mind at the moment.
kitten , I didn’t realize that 1930’s sepia filter and period dress was an insult/reference to current events.

I give this troll a 9/11
too soon to be making fun of the germanwings crash anet, yall are trolls
No, it’s clearly making fun of Amelia Earhart’s tragic death.
Yeah I agree it’s pretty insensitive that they put SAB minis back into the black lion chests then we get the airplane pose. Rude, Anet.
Oh wait, you’re not talking about that, you’re being a politically correct tumblr cretin on a SJW crusade. Face, meet palm. Crap, I bet clapping noises trigger you people too.
why isnt SAB out right now?
Because ANet hates and has zero respect for everyone that ever liked SAB or ever bought the continue coin.
I can’t +1 this post hard enough.
I worship Balthazar while in Guild Wars, and sacrifice goats to Wodan IRL. Come at me m9
I totally understand both ends of the argument, one end being the whole paywall feeling, and the other end that the product is actually worth the paywall
here are my two cent’s I hope to god it isnt just a big living world update, but at the same time you have to understand that this game isnt subscription based, besides the expansion, before and after you will be paying NOTHING, big deal if you have to buy the expansion, mmo’s have been doing that for years, WoW makes their subscribers pay for their expansions, why wouldnt Anet? in the end were lucky we arent paying a subscription, just be happy we are even getting anything at all
ungrateful kids^This.
If you’re complaining about buying the expansion. Remember
You could have been spending 15$ monthly.Be grateful we are even getting new content to play.
Yep and like I said earlier WoW usually has a content gap of 12 months between their last update and their expansion… 12 months of paying a sub for no new content.
The river of tears from the ultra-entitled GW2 community is astounding in comparison.
+1’d

Lmao, you people complaining about the lack of content between the end of Season 2 and Heart of Thorns clearly have forgotten how poorly paced other MMORPGS like World of Warcraft are when it comes time for the pre-expansion period.
Icecrown Citadel was ‘current content’ for a year, excluding the ruby sanctum mini-raid. More recently, Siege of Orgrimmar lasted OVER A YEAR. Thats 13 months with NO content in a paid subscription game.
GW2 Living Story -> Heart of Thorns content gap is literally nothing compared to that.
Are you absolutely certain this expansion will be released early enough not to beat this number of 13 months? Last time I checked it was “when it’s ready”, not “much earlier than feb 2016”.
The difference is that GW2 does not have a subscription. World of Warcraft does. 13 months with no update in a subscription based game (the gaps between final raid tiers/expansions) is UNACCEPTABLE. In a game like Guild Wars 2, it’s not a big deal.

Thieves will have the rifle so i think lot of rangers will change to the new sniper thing. 100% less pet, 300% more invisibility. I already have the books to lvl up a thief
If this is true then Rangers will become utterly useless in all situations. Sad, sad day. I might have to stock up on skill books myself.
^ Great post illustrating everything that is wrong with Rangers in GW2. I am dreading being stuck with the pet when it comes time to spec Druid, and the sheer boredom of the longbow is just sad.
I think its well past time I rolled a class that wasn’t saddled with terrible mechanics but I hate the thought of grinding another character to 80.
This thread helped put me on track to fixing my own ranger. I had a ‘tank boon’ build and was getting utterly slaughtered.
Thanks OP & contributors.
Its kind of absurd that you still can’t sort the trade post results by armor class. People were requesting this in BETA.
Basically your only choice for Sylvari armor is to grind TA or spend gold to get cultural armor. It kinda sucks.
This is a really fun build, helped make ranger interesting for me to play again.
Ive been holding on to 20k black lion chests that I bought when they were so cheap. I think I’ll wait until the market stabilizes a bit before unloading them.
