+1. There are already a few topics about this, all agreeing upon making the warmth animation the exact same as the one given by the brazier.
We’re waiting for a fix from Anet.
Will some dev apply this easy fix, pretty please? Thank you <3
Did you by any chance just list some of them for sale? They might be in the waiting list.
Click “O” and go to “My Transactions” > “Current Transactions” > “Selling”.
I just want them to make it appear exactly as the one given by the braziers. Simple solution, most likely. Oh, and also… the GS glitch. Thanks for chiming in guys!
Yeah, the buff given in BF is way more obvious than the one given by the trinket. They love to change things up, don’t they?
+1 for this. And also, please fix the glitch that I mentioned in my thread here -
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Koda-s-Warmth-Aura-Glitch/first#post6413096
I just noticed that when running with my greatsword drawn, the warmth animation appears only on my back – and none on the chest. I tested with other weapon types and there doesn’t seem to be an issue.
Take a look at those screenies:
This should be fixed.. for the amount of gold it costs. Thx Anet!
ALSO, please make the animation the exact same as the one given by the braziers – bigger and brighter.

Is the aura, as expected, a knot of fire centered in the middle of the chest? Like occurs around the beacons?
If it really is subdued in southern maps I might be willing to go for it after all on my new character. She’d look good with just a little fire inside her.
Yes, it is.
@op – Try it with the black undulating refractor on. It really stands out. Though I’m a Human so no idea how it looks on the other races.
Thanks for the reply. Appreciated!
Does anybody here have this GPU and how does it fare in the game, if yes? Particularly interested in Full HD and high settings. I’m good with the rest of the PC parts.
Thanks
I love the idea of the animation. It’s sick. The design of the armor is.. terrible. Looks so cheap and gem store-y. If they just went with cleaner looks once.. I so miss GW1 armors.

Are you talking about the 3 sec white screen delay that happens immediately after you click “Play” on the launcher, before character select appears?
If so, it’s always been there for me.
Wow, that is plain stupid. What was the point of Halloween 2012, if there’s always a way to get the skin afterwards. Where’s the exclusivity. Let’s bring back everything, shall we.
Hello all,
You guys know how when you consume those karma potions, you get the amount of karma in numbers bursting out with big digits in the middle of the screen (like when you deal damage, but in purple)? I suddenly stopped getting that.
All I get right now is the “notifications” at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Does anybody know if that’s an option in the settings somewhere? I messed with those recently but I can’t seem to find this anywhere.
I hope I’ve been clear enough.
Thanks in advance!
Do I need HoT to play LS3?
Is it worth it to pick up the i7 instead of the i5? I’m talking specifically for GW2.
Thanks in advance!

I have a similar issue as the person above me. I sent my ticket on April 5th and still no reply. It’s about the original Guild Wars and a plea for account restoration.
Please tell me if I need to provide more information.
It’s been 13 days now.
Thanks in advance.

Still waiting for a reply on this!
I can’t stress enough how much I want those.
Man, I hope you’re not right. I’d really like to see these make it. Plus, it makes perfect sense for them to be included for Halloween.
I want to know too.. I love those. When are we gonna be able to get them?
When I think about it, I would gladly spend money in the gem store for skins, if they looked awesome. You know, if I was like BLOWN away by a skin, I’d find a way to get it.
I’m even sure that the OP would also find a way to gather enough gold to get gems and get the desired skin, if he/she wanted it so much.
It’s just that the skins are.. sad. If they really wanted to make money from the gem store, at least put some effort in the skins coming out of it, since it’s your goal to sell them, not ours.
+10000000 for the Chaos Axe. It’s stunning.
I agree almost a 100% with the OP. What I hate however, is the fact that like one of the guys above me said, most armor skins look like crap.. let’s face it. I know it’s subjective, but when the majority of the players don’t like it, it’s urging change. And since GW2 and GW1 are supposedly made for eye-candy, then why don’t Anet put more effort in their designs..
And omg, the new armor skins in the gem store are terribad. I mean, come on guys.
The old ones too. I mean, I would actually buy skins from the gem store, if they were awesome.
I play a male human heavy character, and the ONLY armor skins that I like are Tier 2 and Tier 3 cultural. That’s all. The others look terrible to me.
Or maybe I’m just too pretentious. Anyway, my 2 cents.

Is it me, or there’s no Local.dat file in C:\Users\*\MyDocuments\GuildWars2 ?
(windows 7)
The whole GW2 folder is missing, it appears only if I create a screenshot. I searched for “Local.dat” and finally found it in C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2
Do you guys have it in that place too? I clearly remember that it was in My Documents like a month ago, not “Roaming”.
Thanks.
Please add this! I love it!
Just saw that post. What the hell?
I got the same thing happen 5 minutes ago, I was salvaging some stuff and suddenly my monthly was no longer 3/4 but 1/4 instead. ArenaNet, please fix this.
I hope someone from the staff sees this, thanks for the +1s guys.
I think this is dead simple to do.
What I mean is, I want to be able to see my own name/guild/title above my head, like I see the names of the rest (if I want to).
Thanks : )

Stormcrow.7513 – There are no dump files/crash reports from Windows or GW2. The only thing present is in Event Viewer -
<Data Name=“BugcheckCode”>0</Data>
<Data Name=“BugcheckParameter1”>0×0</Data>
<Data Name=“BugcheckParameter2”>0×0</Data>
<Data Name=“BugcheckParameter3”>0×0</Data>
<Data Name=“BugcheckParameter4”>0×0</Data>
<Data Name=“SleepInProgress”>false</Data>
<Data Name=“PowerButtonTimestamp”>0</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>
That’s all I get. Nothing else. Every time. This is the so called “Event ID 41 Task Category 63 Kernel Power” thingy. It just states that the PC was shutdown improperly. But I don’t think that’s the error that causes the freeze, it is just the consequence of me forcefully restarting the machine.
Pay attention though, there’s only zeros in the bugcheck parameter. Weird stuff anyway.
I highly doubt that it’s a networking issue. Plus, I’m not using a router anyway.
Btw, as far as I’ve observed this, the game basically crashes when everything is on high/ultra. I have yet to see it crash on Best Performance. But I guess that’s because higher settings demand more from whatever it is. I still think it’s something within the game though.
I mean, if it was a bricked GPU, wouldn’t it crash in benchmarks and other games? There’s no logic for a malfunctioning GPU to crash only in one game. That kind of proves that the game has a conflict with either the GPU or the drivers.
I hope someone from ArenaNet sees this thread. I’m literally sick of this, it’s been months now.
(edited by Hank.4839)
Hello. I just wanted to add my post to this thread.
I have similar issues, using Nvidia 660 Ti. The problems described here are almost 100% the ones I have. My computer locks up randomly. But in my case the PC doesn’t restart, it just freezes completely, the screen turns black, red, green or any solid color. Nothing can be done. The only way to get up and running is to hard reset the system and then again. I am using the latest drivers, but I’ve tried all the former driver versions from Nvidia with no luck, including betas.
THIS HAPPENS ONLY WITH GUILD WARS 2. I’VE DONE MULTIPLE BENCHMARKS WITH SOFTWARE LIKE 3DMARK, FURMARK AND A FEW MORE. PLUS PLAYED A COUPLE OF OTHER GAMES – NOTHING.
I’ve tested my RAM, my CPU, my GPU. I tried with different GPUs (mainly AMD 7950 and AMD 4850 + the integrated GPU in 3570k) – no problems.
I also think this is a software problem, since any other game/application runs perfectly fine.
We need an ArenaNet representative to take a look in this, please!
Yeah, and now I have to save more cash to get a new graphics card, because it’s a “gray area” and the PC store won’t replace it, nor Anet would replace it or fix my issue. $300 bucks on the waste.
And after 9 months, people wonder why no one replies to their “fix your game” questions. Well, logic leads to “We aren’t able to do anything at this point”. Maybe they just don’t want to say it.
And.. darn.. according to Anet, they started developing the game in 2007, so 5 years. They had 5 years, and they couldn’t create a new engine? Or at least buy one or something. It doesn’t make any sense to me, except for cutting costs, but for a project as big as this..
(edited by Hank.4839)
Yeah.. well. I don’t know if they turned down offered help, and I don’t really care. The truth is though, stuff doesn’t work properly. I’m one of the people who bought a new computer especially for this game. And it’s considered powerful (3570k,16GB ram, Nvidia 660Ti). And I’ve been having a crap load of problems ONLY with this game. I’m not even talking about FPS – it’s great on my machine, excluding the big battles and stuff.
I’m having random freezes and complete PC lockups while playing Guild Wars 2. Only when playing Guild Wars 2. All of a sudden my screen turns solid red, or green, or orange color and my PC becomes completely unresponsive. I need to hard reset or shutdown. And I sent it back because it’s still in warranty and the dudes said that the GPU is perfect. Then they sent it to the manufacturer, which also said that it’s fine.
So it’s back with me. The thing that the guys at the store said was, that another dude who plays GW2 and has the same GPU (Nvidia 660Ti), has had the SAME problem..
What can I say guys. I want to play this stupid game, because it’s the only one I play, and I can’t do it.
Nowadays I doubt that ANet will do something about it.
Got the exact same crash again, in Southsun Cove. Can a dev elaborate on the matter?
Edit:
Got another one within 10 minutes, this time on the loading screen to Southsun Cove.
(edited by Hank.4839)
Yeah, won’t be a problem. I down-clocked the GPU with 50Mhz on the core and the memory and it seems fine for now.
It was a probably a BAD manufacturer overclock. Since the GPU was overclocked originally.
Thank you for the replies!
I had almost the same crash, I thought it’s only me. Also in Southsun, haven’t gotten anymore though.

@hammer – Well, there you go. So simple, they’ve fixed it. No drama involved.
" All players will now be able claim the reward for completing this instance once more on any character." – Mark Katzbach
If I understand correctly, once more on any character doesn’t quite sound to me like it’s account bound.
I’m kinda tired of haggling, really. If it’s a mistake, they will fix it. If it’s not, they will leave it.
(edited by Hank.4839)
Those situations are note the same, at all. I’m not in denial, yes I did this on my characters. No, it’s not “too good to be true”, since you can get one gold faster just by doing a dungeon run that can take like 10 minutes. This takes double the time. And it’s really not that easy, it’s actually quite annoying.
Strong words. I’m not lashing at anybody, I just find it funny how everyone throws the word “exploit” here and there, without thinking of the definition.
Where have I blamed anyone? You’re talking about things I haven’t said. I only said that Leonsky’s post was sane, because it sounds the most realistic to me. The fact that I considered a person’s post to be “sane” doesn’t mean that the other posts in this thread are “insane”.
There’s no aggression involved. You took it wrong.
@Asaturnus – I have yet to hear if the reward was indeed intended to be account-bound.
So, by your words, the black lion key farm is a bug and thus an advantage for those exercising it?
I absolutely agree that it’s ArenaNet’s choice to ban me if I was exploiting something. But I do not consider this an exploit, because I’m actually playing the game normally and not doing anything that I (or we all) aren’t allowed to do by definition.
(edited by Hank.4839)
@Niyo – Oh buddy, please. It’s entirely ArenaNet’s responsibility to look after those things. They know best.
Don’t mock me. I’m not saying you’re jealous. But I bet that a lot of people have 8 level 80s already, and would never delete one of their characters just to get 1 gold for 25 minutes.
I don’t really understand what you see as “wrong” here. If the people with full slots and precious characters think that’s an advantage for people like me, who have only 3 characters currently, well that’s a high form of ignorance.
Everybody has the ability to do this, there’s no cheating involved, no advantage, no exploitation.
But of course, if ArenaNet consider this an exploit or whatever, it’s their right as a developer to remove it.
Really? An exploit? How is it an exploit, if you make a brand new character, you do your introduction fight, you go to Lion’s Arch, you take a ship to Southsun, you’re careful not to die till you get to the place, and you use your skills to defeat this guy, being it easy or hard. This whole process takes like 20-30 minutes. << And all this, within perfect compliance with the game’s rules. No cheating is involved here.
Or, wait, wait.. is it an exploit, because some of you guys don’t have any empty slots left and you can’t do it without deleting your current characters? Oh, I’m sorry about that. I see where you’re going there. Not my fault you filled all of your slots.
My 2 cents.
The only sane post in this thread is written by Leonsky.
(edited by Hank.4839)
Yeah, well I’ve never crashed in the character select screen, otherwise I’d leave it there.
Well, thanks anyway. Guess I’m going to move my character one step forward every 20 minutes.
BTW Why on earth would they ban us for staying online? Not that I will do it after I know now, or that I know how. Just seems weird.
Hello!
Currently I’m testing my graphics card, which seems to be faulty. However, I want to know if there’s a way to leave my character in say Lion’s Arch or wherever, for a good few hours, without getting automatically kicked by the system for inactivity.
Is there a way?
Thanks.
And by the way, just a suggestion to the devs – if you could make it like it was in Guild Wars 1, it would be great.
