Yeah ikr on ET its a beatdown. Golem rushes all over against us. I rage quit to EoTM to be greeted by the noob squad twins in their golems. They chased me around and then used their twirling ability to twirl themselves off midsts which I must say I found amusing.

I would tell them, but they were AFK. We have AFK people too, even during peak times. Maybe you’re big into conspiracy theories, but there weren’t any spies. That’s just nuts. You might want to check out how we’re doing in T7. Do we have spies in BP and FC, too?

You seem to act like I’m hating on all of SF. Let’s face the facts they may not be well known or ‘with it’ people on SF. But stray people do get the idea to try to be important and go spy. Its not a conspiracy theory but I’m not blaming you or all of SF. It’s just a fact.

Spying how? I’m on SF and an active WvW’er. WTH are you talking about spying? SF is having some success, finally, because we have a few active WvW guilds for the first time in over a year, including one that plays alot over night. If you’re in ET, try following SQD around. They have their act together, you might learn something. If you’re in DR, you have the numbers, there’s no excuse.

From what I read about the mega servers. It sounds like it needs down toned a bit to more like miniature megaservers. To more like 3 servers or so in each one. That way there could be a bit more communication with your fellow server people outside WvW.

Myself transferring out doesn’t fix ET. If other people transfer out that doesn’t help ET. Either Anet needs to give people cheaper/free transfers to low servers or find some other solution to fix us. People transferring doesn’t change the problem. I may stop complaining but then others will have the same complaint.

Yeah people need to ‘step up’ but 300 gold for a tag is steep for a lot of people. Not really encouraging more of our good WvW’ers to purchase.

Both your servers have people on them.

Both your servers have 1 major problem, which is that neither of your servers have someone or some people to step up and lead to change the server culture away from that of casual random non-comms karma training or roaming into a group focused PPT focused server.

I spend quite a lot of time down in T5-T8 NA servers on my alt account and they all have 1 thing in common: There’s no one spamming teamspeak details in map chat. In fact, when I ask for teamspeak details, I often get confronted, cussed out and get called a spy. That to me is hilarious cause you guys are ranked way at the bottom with nothing to lose each week to even need to care about spies

Also, UW is Underworld. Ranked dead last in EU due to some… drama that happened several months back. Nasty situation that split the server and caused a lot of people to transfer off.

I can’t speak for Warrior and Ele. Guardian is powerful but slow and annoying. You can’t disengage from a fight. People can escape from you a lot of the time if you don’t play it right. I’d go Ele just because I’ve seen lots of really good roaming Ele’s.

This is more my perspective from playing on EoTM. But I find most of the commanders there enjoy running in circles ignoring the fights most of the time. Just because they don’t want to take the chance of failure. And really that’s not why I want to play WvW. :P should the reward drops from players be bigger to encourage fighting more?

I run all zerker except for runes. I use the Dolyak runes. Give me some more passive regen extra HP makes me a bit more tanky. But yeah we have a terrible health pool but with medi guard we get a ton of regens.

So if you aren’t in one of these two servers or don’t vs us you probably don’t understand how terrible it is. Every week we get matched up against another server that is nowhere near size. ET gets maybe a 6-7 person group going at best on the average day. Most of the day its just 1-2 people roaming. Every so often we will have larger depending on guilds and their WvW events. But I’m just about fed up with how inactive it is. I’m not asking for 20-30 person squads going all the time. I just want to be in the competition. We are no match at all for the servers we vs and it’s pathetic. I don’t dislike ET I love the server and the small WvW community we have playing they are awesome to roam with but if all you do is take camps the majority of the week it gets old. I can’t remember the last time ET won at the end of the week. I know this is just another ET complaint topic but Anet needs to do something to help us lower tier servers. I’m not sure how DRs whole situation is there but they seem to place very similar to us.

The +180 toughness trait was the stupidest thing possible also. They put it right next to a team buff that gives +150 toughness.

What server do you play on?

Mesmer: Too much stealth, powerblock shouldn’t work on a players healing skills. Too much burst especially because of too much blind and how easy it is for them to stun/daze you. Too much blind.

Ele: Too much sustain and too much burn.

Guardian: Feels like they do too much damage considering how many get out of jail free cards they have.

Get out of jail free cards? We have a pathetic health pool and can’t disengage in battle and are the only class without a passive speed boost. Yes nerf us please.

If you aren’t talking from a PvP standpoint ranger is easiest. The pet does a lot of tanking for you. If your talking PvP and PvE I’d go warrior. Heavy armor and big health pool. Guardian has small health pool and bad mobility.

Life on ET stinks sadly. Our WvW population is terrible. I’m in the same boat as you. I try to WvW I steal a few camps by myself every now and then. Its pathetic though. Even the lower tower servers we vs now are like 5x the size of ET.

Okay so trying to figure some stuff out here. How much internet would a 2-3 hour GW2 session take up?

If they would ever nerf medi guardian than they would need to give us another viable DPS alternative. I play medi guard and medi guard is like the only build that gives us condition cleanse with DPS. With our pathetic health pool it’s a must have. You seem to only be pointing out the good spots in our class. If it’s so ‘op’ you play it. Because I can still get smashed by a good PvPer of another class.

I’ve been running medi guard for a while and I’m happy to see the buff . But now I’ve gotta decide which utility to swap out for Merciful Intervention. I was thinking Contemplation of Purity. Wanted to know what some other medi guards were thinking.

Not disappointed with the changes but they really didn’t make tomes useful they really need to last longer to be more useful.

Really liking it for my med guard, but disappointed we aren’t seeing anything about our bad ranged combat, and the hammer gets dodged too easily and stuff like that.

25% speed wont get you out of combat, I’m just ticked off because I was 1v1ing a warrior in WvW last night I was winning the fight so he just decided to ‘leave’ so he used this ability to block like all my attacks for 6 or however many seconds and take off. I couldn’t catch him he engages and gets away without penalty

I’ve tried it you have to get the ability off before your down to half health so you don’t fall low. Lots of times I got it off too late and didn’t have time to regain health. I’d rather run the healing signet or Shelter.

Agreed. It just doesn’t make sense that EVERY other class in the game gets passive speed boosts than us. I was roaming with a couple of guys in WvW today and I kept constantly falling behind and then I have to swap one of my meditation abilities out so I can use retreat to keep up. But taking a utility out so you can move faster seems silly then I can swap it out in case I need my main utility back for battle.

ET rarely gets big groups going when it does. Mostly 10-15 groups on reset night we always compete that seems pretty much it. We do good when we have groups though. We just need some more people on at off times.

I agree. I’d like to transfer but I don’t want to leave me guild. But Eredon Terrace WvW most days is never active.

Truth. Seems like an obsession with caps and we just run around in circles capping what the enemy just capped. Making no progress because our caps get capped a minute later. People need to face the head on to wipe them out to get a lead.

Improving Zealot’s Imbrace on hammer. People dodge it 90% of the time. Banish is a good ability but hard to aim and misses most of the time. That’s pretty much the biggest problem with them hammer. Attacks are easy to dodge and it’s very immobile. I like the abilities and it has potential though.

i would prefer that most classes didtn had a passive speed boost except 1 or 2.

Going place to place as a guard is a drag because we are slow. You shouldn’t give all the other classes passive speed boosts and not give one class a boost. Either give it to just a couple that need it or give it to them all. Don’t leave one class out.

Not sure if this is technically the right sub forum but seems like the best one to post this in. I reached 80 on my guardian a few weeks back and have been messing around with it, but the other day I realized how weak and pathetic DPS guardian felt at WvW. So I switched to a bunker/support build which I enjoyed for WvW because I could survive the battles help my team out, but when I switched over to play PvE I do absolutely no damage at all and it’s a nuisance to switch back and forth between builds and gear. Was wonder what the best class is at PvE and WvW that’s basically and ‘all around’ class so to speak. I’d like to be able to DPS successfully in WvW.

Okay so I just reached 80 about a week ago and have been doing a lot of WvW. I’m running a med guard with berserker gear and I play on ET. And if you know ET most of the time our groups our small and depend on each player a lot it seems as a guardian I feel very irrelevant in the lines of DPS. And am very squishy and feel more like a burden than help. Wanted to know if guardian was a waste of time and I should level another class to WvW with.

When is the class balancing gonna be done?

So I purchased amplified wrath to use in PvP. I’m only a level 51, but since you have all traits unlocked in PvP except top one I wanted to unlock it. So I spent the 3 gold and 20 skills points on it, but it didn’t give it to me. Still says locked when I’m in pvp or reg world. That I need to purchase it or unlock it through the event.

I suspect OffedPez has written Power in capitals to express that you should gear with Power as its main attribute, meaning it’s higher than the other bonuses.

Before you spend too much time on your “DPS Guardian” realize that it will be expected from Guardians to bring defensive support in group play. If you just want to smash things and give your team offensive support or no support try out Warrior or Thief.

Well in PvP I use the meditation guard build. That’s what I plan on using when I get to 80. How do I bring team support with that? And I did play a thief to 36 and found it garbage lol.

As a DPS guardian should I buy gear with power instead of precision ferocity etc?

This only happens when I bring up the gem item store nothing else. I get a black screen and have to relog. Not too big of a deal but a bit annoying. Anyone know how to fix it?
