Guild Wars 2

Thought I would give GW2 a try again, but where is everyone, the place just seems dead, where are all the people?

Hi all,

So I’ve played this game Twice already and just couldn’t seem to get into the game, but I’ve always wanted to like this game for some reason and sure I was playing it, or doing something wrong,
I absolutely loved GW but never transitioned over to GW2 well.

I will be starting a whole new character, what tips do you guys have to get right into the meat of the game? is it WWW? I like to be competitive but like to have a sense of progression also, I hate grinding but love the whole organised raid thing.

The last time I played GW2 it seemed like an empty world but how can that be with so many people raving about this game, I’m sure I was just doing it wrong.

So any suggestions are more than welcome, I once again would love to lose myself in an MMO.

I take you have never played EvE online then, The auction house does nothing but breed an industry of farmers and botters for real life trade.

there are slaves in china because of MMO modals like this and Anet are milking it. They know exactly what hey are doing, get rid of the auction house, problem solved

Yes they can do what they want to with their forums, I never said other wise but that does not mean it’s a good thing does it? censorship is stupid and it will only lead to self destruction.

Seriously what on earth is going on here?

People have bought the game and giving some legit experiences about the game, or legit thing they feel could use some improvement and Anet are just closing the threads, why?

I’ve never seen such censorship in a game ever, most of the post are structured, none offensive and and seek to have a structured discussion about the game they have forked out money for, this is very sad.

This post will get deleted or closed for sure, but why? Anet do not like any criticism at all but if they keep it up they will be closing everything, about a quarter of threads currently are being closed.

Suck it up Anet, your game is not perfect and people will call you out on problems, why is that such a problem?

I seriously do not get this.

GW had it, it’s a much need mechanic, who want’s to have to rebuild everytime you want to mix it up? especially when you are PvPing with a team and need to suit up fast.

All that has been designed in this game and such a basic feature is absent, why? it reinforces my suspension that they are not too fussed about the competitive side of PvP in the game which is a shame coming from Guilwars.

There are other little things that are just off with the PvP but this is the main grief I have up to now.

If there is this feature already in game after that rant and I’m missing it I’m going to feel like an idiot.

I cannot believe how different this game is to what I thought it was going to be, I have been gaming for long enough to know not to get into the hype but this goes beyond that, this game is broken on the basic level.

This game is just bad, This game has usurped the original Guild Wars as far as I’m concerned, they have took a clean, well thought out game and made this complete mess.

I can see how the PvE aspect is appealing to many but the PvP has lost everything it stood for and that’s what guild wars has always been known for.

World vs World PvP is just stupid, they have created a clone game here, it’s no different from any other thrown together, disposable FTP game out there.

Clunky, unresponsive and seems rushed, they have took a good idea (GW and destroyed the idea, mutilated it.

It looks bad, feels bad, the PvP maps are a joke, messy and child like, everything is just a cluster mash of stupidity, if you touch a? stone on the PvP maps you stop dead, the camera is idiotic (especially when you are in battle) Targeting and auto attack is bugged and does what it wants.

Oh God this game is just so bad….

I’m not bothered about the money, I was looking forward to this game, I even upgraded my machine for it but this has not met even half of what I hoping, what ever happened to getting the solid basics right and building from that, they already had it which makes it even more confusing to me.

I’ve given it a few days now just to make sure it’s not just because I’m new and unfamiliar with it but nah, out of all the things it’s the responsiveness and control of your character, it’s just clunky and poor, how could they mess up jumping and rolling so bad, the terrain just seems to be working against you constantly.

I predict this game dying off within 6 months with only the die hard fans still playing it because this is one over hyped piece of garbage.

This will never be a competitive PvP game, it just can’t in it’s current state.
