Players bumping into each other [suggestion]

I can’t see player collision detection ever being added to that extent because the server capabilities can barely handle the 5 player AOE limit. Also, player collision is already there, just not extremely pronounced. You ever tried running “through” a downed enemy? You just walk into their face unless you dodge roll through them.

That’s good to know :P

Guess that pretty much sums up all the answers I will get, so this post pretty much makes my suggestion void XD

As the title suggests, this could add a mechanic where players will “bump” [be stopped by each other’s movements] into each other. This mechanic could make small groups more viable as they could move much more quickly and fluently than a zerg. This could also make it viable to survive an encounter with a zerg as a small group.

Would like some feedback :P

Why hello there interested guilds ,

As the title suggests I am looking for a guild that is primarily focused on WvW, and is accepting a lvl 12 guardian who has the experience of a lvl 42 engie :P

I have not played this game for around six months and am wondering if there were any changes to the engineer, and were they for nerfing or buffing?

I would see some problems with this idea such as the enemy just waiting at the bottom of the cliff to brutally destroy you

1) give a reason to use actual war tactics [scouting,tactics,etc.]

2) have a way to make it so that a small group has an advantage that a zerg cannot

3) give the out manned buff something useful

Ejiofor, I completely agree with your post. I find my self feeling the same way. While I can be completely perfect in my rotation and completely out play a thief, Mesmer or elementalist (the new wvw trinity) the cheap tactic of coming in and out of combat completely ruins the experience for me. What A Net doesn’t seem to understand is that this game involves a lot of cool down, and when you use your skills and someone can just pop out of the fight and return in less than 15-20 sec while all of your utilities are on cool down its completely trash. Is one thing to lose to good players that push you to learn and improve your game, but losing to a particular profession/build because of a blatant game imbalance is not fun, challenging for the other player and it just leads to frustration and people just moving to easy professions. I have a huge problem with how our skills are not really on part with other professions. For example, warrior endure pain and our elixir s, same skills yet warrior last two extra seconds and they are allow to attack unlike the engineer. Also, I can’t say for sure but I don’t think thief skill that provide quickness is on part with elixir u, I think we are punish more severely for gaining quickness than other professions, but I am not completely sure on this one.

I know this saying concerns thieves but

how about thieves have to be out of combat to sneak? For you will not see people suddenly disappear [unless cloaking is developed]

I must agree that the rating system might be flawed a bit

My example will be gates of madness VS. henge of denravi [one that I am in] VS. sorrow’s furnace

Gates of madness is a larger server than the other two so for the other two worlds it is a battle for second place so gates of madness wins and the next match up happens.

It is the same match up and you guessed it gates of madness basically wins [still going on] with 100,000 more points than the other worlds.

My suggestion that after each match it takes a survey of each world’s population and it’s growing/shrinking trend and pits each world with other worlds with similar populations then goes onto other factors due to the fact that a larger server can have more and bigger zergs.

We need to stop complaining fast and why

meh to be honest I don’t have a problem playing as an engineer

right now he is around lvl 30 with a flamethrower,grenades,and the purple elixer [can’t remember the name XD] and he is pretty decent.

Sure he can’t really beat sentries in WvW or other players in duels but he is good at crowd control with poison grenades to ward off people and skill 1 in flamethrower to cause burning damage.

Even though he dies quickly I do my best :P

the basis of this suggestion revolves around a guild feature which I would like to see included but does not have to be in the game or can be modified to fit the needs of balance ans such.

guild towns

summary:

Guild towns would be as it suggests a town in which a guild can relax,plan,roleplay,etc. There would be farmers in the fields, miners in the mines, and fishers in boats and perhaps players helping them. The leader of the guild can enact edicts and do other leaderly things. The architect can create schematics and create wonders. The general can create strategies that can change the tide of the war. But the most important thing are the guild members. For the can change the area forever.

Starting out:

Once a guild has a specific number of members they can register the town at a specific NPC and pay a hefty sum of currency. Now I am not talking about 1 or 2 pieces of gold for that would be silly if a town costed 2 guild outfits. But I mean hefty for a guild which would be VERY expensive if you were going to make that money by yourself.

Upon purchasing the new plot of land members can travel to the town (if the leader wants to at this stage) through the guild menu. When players first look upon their new land they would see a randomly generated plot of land in which the guild will have to gather resources to create their own buildings and such or import resources if they wish and can afford it which would also be moderately expensive.

NPC’s:

When the players start out in their new town they will see an NPC which would sell resources and basic items for creating the town. Upon the creation certain buildings such as barracks,palace,etc. NPCs can be hired through their designated buildings or through the guild menu, if a player does do it through the guild menu then it will take an amount of time relative to the normal player move speed for the hiring order to reach the building for example if it was a 30 second trip from the town arrival area to the barracks then a guild member who has the permissions purchases a soldier it would take 30 seconds for the order to train a soldier to reach the barracks and be commisioned while on the other hand if a guild member that also has permissions hires directly from the barracks then the order for the soldier would begin instantly.

general rules:

1.buildings,names,anything that can be customized must be appropriate

2.do not use the guild town to “troll” such as members being instantly killed,trapped,etc.

[I will stop here for now and let suggestions for changes occur so that if i do need to change anything I won’t have that thing changing millions of other things and other features that I will explain in detail later will be
